Did I miss the tree on the tube to the left? Looks like a slightly streamlined VXC in-house "hydracirc" to me. The one to the right looks like the in-house/SG collabo and I can attest that it is one heavy piece of boro. I gotta repeat that I really enjoy the bore of the in-house/SG tube.

No, I was referring to the one on the right, I am not sure what that is above the tree.....

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but, are those new?! or at least one of them?

the bottom of the HT thats upside down looks tapered and I hadn't noticed that before, and the one on the right, just looks big :D
The SG is *new. The SGW is from beta test. It's upside-down for stability in the photo. I ordered SG in Feb and *took delivery of HT and unit today.

Ah I see, I thought you were saying "tree to shower head" in one piece. BTW, above the tree is the splash-guard.

Nice Pappy, the SGW does look tiny in comparison. Hope your unit treats you well.

That just happened...
The cloud sure makes this fun. :)

Those are beautiful. I use my cloud in complete darkness at night. The led lights up the entire HT. I would like to see that with your setup!

I'm not sure what the normal procedure for this is, but don't you think you want a little to much to soon? I mean, if it were me I'd want to know if my product would even survive 3 years of intensive use before I would feel comfortable to submitting to such a warranty.

This is exactly why I think it should come with a better warranty, or at least the option for one because I don't think it will survive 3 years of intensive use.

Can you elaborate on why it doesn't outperform the VHW? And when you say "close" to the VHW are you implying that the taste of the VHW is better? I'm probably picking up both the cloud and vhw but am more curious as to the differences in taste.

Also, when you indicate that the cloud definitely punched through your tolerance, is that based on your vhw use?

THCMUSCLE:

SICK!!!!!!!!!! Really enjoy your vids dude, and I think it's awesome that the ELB doesn't need a preheat, and can produce clouds like that off of only a little bud and at the lowest temp. The taste must of been amazing.

By 'doesn't outperform the VHW', I mean the clouds I can get with the Cloud are equal to the thickness of VHW rips I get, not any denser. They both give rips as dense as I want, neither really better in that regard. I do feel the VHW tastes better, but not by a big margin. THe ease of use of the Cloud and its apparent lesser fragility trumps the small taste difference for me - I haven't used any other vape since getting the Cloud and don't feel the need to. But I could see using my VHW if I got something especially tasty - and assumjng i have plenty. The Cloud is IMO much more efficient than the VHW as well- my two biggest complaints about it have always been how easily the heater cover breaks and how much herb it uses compared to other vapes.

Because of the efficiency the VHW hasn't been my daily driver lately - plus I've been using it with a jury-rigged broken heater cover - but I have been using it periodically, and recently it hasn't helped get through my tolerance. As a medical user, the thing tolerance does to me is it stops helping some of what I use mj for - especially stops helping insomnia - and frankly stops giving me a buzz of any kind.

Because of where my health has been, I haven't been able to take a tolerance break of even a day in a long time. I've found the only thing that seems to make much difference is new gear - either glass or a vape - or a new strain (oil or bubble used to help, but too much of one and unavailability of the other stopped that). The difference normally doesn't last long. So far, day 2, the Cloud is still making a difference - slept really well last night and have been buzzing since i got it..

My best tip to prevent tolerance buildup is to have as many strains available to you as you possibly can. then every day you can consume a different strain. This helps tremendously because you get different levels of each active medicinal.

@SNM

So sorry to hear about the tip breaking off! that's terrible news! :(

I third this. Even switching back and forth between two different strains helps. I just went to the dispensary and I picked up my two favorite strains Blue Haze and Norwegian Kush and a little of a third I have never tried called Chocolate Blueberry (Chocolate Kush x Blueberry). If I look around my medicine bottles though I have about 6 or 7 strains. I usually stick to my two favorite though because they relive pain the most. If I only use one of the two strains I build up tolerance. So I try and alternate between the two.

I try to keep at least 8 strains on hand at all times. I find that I enjoy contemplating which strain I will consume in the evening (it helps pass the boredom of the day I guess).... much like some people think about what to have for dinner during their day.

I can be that way but I tread OCD and back pain with my mmj. So I look for high CBD and indica dominant strains. They help the pain and help me break my OCD cycle so I don't get caught in so many patterns.

@snm bummer hopefully it will all work out in the end.
Idk but It seems I stopped having tolerance issues when I stopped combusting. The buzz from vaping seems to last me a long time. I have been using the same strain from the same grower for 6 months or more and I still get supremely medicated from it. I believe I am getting a more complete extraction. I don't think edibles will be quite as good from the cloud abv.

That doesn't sound realistic at all. I mean, I can see the customers point of view, but who would warrant something for a longer period than the product might work? That's digging your own grave business-wise.

Perhaps you'd be better off looking at a different product if you don't have any faith in this one, until it has had the time to either prove you wrong or right at least. You don't HAVE to buy this one.

That's not the point. The first impression of this vape has not proved itself, and thus even more justifies a better warranty. Along your lines of thinking, we should just EXPECT this to stop working within 3 years, or at least VXL then doesn't even have the confidence for it to work that long.

Look at this comparison chart...the Cloud has the worst warranty of them all, not to mention that Arizer offered 3 years on the Extreme, and now the new Solo has 2 years (not on chart).

The lack of decent warranty and a product that you haven't tested long enough to prove reliable is more like digging your grave business wise IMO.

@Vape4life, again thank you for your enthusiasm in this discussion, I have noticed that you have posted the same comments a lot on this thread, I think SM55 made a post a while back saying that we can rescind your pre-order, just send us an email and we cant take care of that for you. Since its obvious that you have some very unique requirements as a consumer, we suggest you come back to this thread in a few months and check in to see if we are meeting your requirements. You have made them clear several times.

I think your looking for a vaporizer made out of cheaper components, and don't include new technology. With high grade components comes greater cost, and with new technology comes shorter warranty's and the same for high grade components.

Our goal at VXL labs was to deliver a heavy hitting vaporizer -- that includes high grade components and glass, sold to the customer at the lowest price possible. Our support team stands behind our product, and will do so for the entire warranty of the product.

For the price involved I would feel like a 3 year warranty would be reasonable. 1 year feels like too short of a time. There is lots of technology in this device that I worry about. Mainly, Since it is a glass on glass connection I worry about having it weaken over the course of a year. The glass on glass joint is usually the play where my glass pieces fail. If anything they should increase it to 2 years. I would feel more comfortable knowing I had more time under warranty simply because of the price point and the technology.
