Thank you, Troi -- I did send an email and really just hearing 'Hey, sorry' is quite fine enough with me. I understand stuff happens.

Unless the HT is standing up perfectly straight in your beer mug, the water will leak out. The way percs work, if the tube is leaning the water will come out. If it doesn't leak when it's on top of the cloud, it's not a faulty piece of glass.

It has been left straight overnight and here is the amount of water in a shot glass.

EDIT: The water is leaking very slowly at the weld between the percolator and joint.

given many recent comments, and after hoooouurs of deliberation I had to withdraw my order.
hopefully that helps someone else out.

I look forward to jumping on the bandwagon in the future if the kinks get worked out.

good luck to all.

Good luck to you as well, but I respectfully think you're making the wrong decision and here's why. Granted, there have been a number of service issues that have come up in recent days but consider this... There are people like me that have had nothing but an amazing experience (over a month as of yesterday for my Cloud/Vertigo) and I'd offer that a significantly larger number of people are sharing that same situation, vs. the few that have had problems. I agree that early adopters are always in danger of seeing more of these launch type issues then most, but that's part of the risk/reward as you also get to be the first on your block to enjoy the benefits of revolutionary products like the Cloud.

IMHO, what separates the wheat from the chaff is the quality of support that the company provides if there are issues. In that regard, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a more responsive, caring group of individuals that have proved themselves on this VERY public forum to go above and beyond to fix any occasional issue that has popped up. In the 50+ pages of mostly raving reviews, I think there have been close to single digit complaints?

I guess I'm just of the opinion that if you have waited all of these months, followed the ups and downs of their business plan and execution and seen first hand what stand up guys they have been at VXH...if you happen to be one of the rare unlucky ones that has a problem, where is the risk when we both know that SM and his team will move heaven and earth to make things right? I guess you would be out some additional time, but after two years, what is a few extra days?

For me, I think the TRUE concern about their product would be if those that had working models were just kind of like, YAWN...nothing special here. Happily, it seems that for the most part there has been an absolute void of "average" reviews. And to me, that is the real story being written at this time.

Couldn't be happier fwiw,

Giant Robot. :)

I completely agree with Giant Robot! I would not hesitate to get a Cloud. Even though I'm not happy about the subtle noise it makes I understand that at this point that's part of what allows it to work so well. And it does work so well! If people were reporting being left hanging for support I might say wait but that is certainly not the case. Also, at this point if someone gets it and doesn't like it (hard to imagine) it should be easy enough to resell it for what you paid.

Well said Giant robot. The Cloud is one of the very few products I've ever bought right off the bat. In my experience with any new product there's always kinks to work out. I just had a good feeling about the cloud and knew that If I did have a problem Sm and crew would get it fixed.

I feel the same way as Giant Robot, VapeArts, and BL4ZE. I never pre order for things, and usually never like to get a newly released product. However, since they were so open right off the bat about their commiment to quality, making sure things worked well, and that they had the ability to handle any problems that may occur once the launch happen I had no problem putting my name on the pre order list last year.

I have been impressed with how they've been handling everthing so far and will not hesitate to pay for my cloud when I receive my email to.

Kudos to the VX team!

Word of warning for those that are trying to figure out a case situation...DO NOT ORDER THE PELICAN 1200. It is way too small. The Pelican 1200 was suggest to fit the Cloud, Hyrdatube and a small grinder. I went this way to save money (figuring I would get a bigger case when I get more hydratubes), and figured it would always be a good size for the Cloud on the go. If the power cord was detachable for the Cloud it would work, but there is no room to do anything with the power cord. I ended up having to wrap the power cord around the Cloud, and then put the plug part of it near the base of the Cloud (dangerously close to the glass)....needless to say this is a sketchy setup at best. Now my perfectly plucked foam is all stretched and contorted in weird ways to accommodate this heavy duty chord being there when it really should not be.

A really disappointing experience to say the least. Maybe if I had the chance to pluck the foam again I could figure out a way to have the plug of the cord have its own spot....but just learn from my mistake and get the next size up. It does feel good to have my stuff in case but I am haunted by how much the cord fouled things up.

Are these of any help? . . .

Here IAmKrazy2 lays the cord on top of the pieces:

And here PoopMachine has it tucked under the Cloud. That may not work in a 1200, the Seahorse here has a 6" depth not just 4". Anyway, fwiw:

Based on a recommendation I saw on this thread (maybe around page 30? Forgive me, I'm out and about and this comes to you from my iPhone) but I went ahead and ordered a Nanuk 920 case for about $92 on Amazon. I looked at Pelican, Seahorse, and Nanuk and read as many reviews as I could and the Nanuk sermed like a perfect choice, albeit a bit spendy admittedly. Lots of colors, and cubed foam that looks easy to mess with. It got high reviews for comfort while carrying and very easy to use snaps. Full report and pix when I get it.

Ill be interested to hear your thoughts. I love the Seahorse stuff. Ive been buying it for years. Lets be real, its a vape, not some kind of highly specialized electronics that is shock sensitive. The SH has pick apart foam like Pelican, it just doesnt have the Pelican price. I do wish the lid was a little snugger but it is waterproof so Im not sure what else you would want.

Hello fellow vaporists! I've been lurking on here for a while now; I pre-ordered the SGW back in December of 2010 and figured it's about time to join the party. I'm eagerly awaiting my number to come up, checking my email and junk mail like a madman! I'm a little bummed to hear about the broken shipment of the SGW tubes but the Hydracirc looks great. I wish I would have preordered the Sovereignty though! I LOVE bongs but I really don't enjoy smoking my herbs. I have a PHX HD that I use for concentrates and a Mobius Matrix Ion that I use with my SSV.

I've previously owned a Volcano Classic, Extreme Q, and a Vapir NO2.
I still have my MFLB which is great for portability!

I can't wait to add the cloud to my lineup. It truly looks amazing! The best of both worlds!

Congrats to all those who have received their cloud!
Mega Congrats to the VapeXhale Cloud team on releasing what appears to be an amazing product, the vape of all vapes!

Hoping to have this by 4/20! Patiently waiting I am!

Banned for life
So, mine is coming next Friday. I do have to say that I am a little concerned with the ticking/leaking/ breaking glass/airpath pushing down/not getting hot/screws too hot - posts that have popped up in the last few days. I am not trying to be negative at all, but a LONG time ago I suggested that the first run (v1.0) of anything always has problems. I also realize that once dozens of units are out there, people will always have things to complain about in a vaporizer. So I really don't know what to think at this point. I'll just have to wait and judge for myself.

As has been said on this board many times, there is no perfect vaporizer. I started thinking maybe this was the one, and it may very well be - but these problems are alarming. I want a Cloud that has no issues, and I also don't want SM and his guys failing due to so many people returning them for repair, replacement, or refund.

Agreed. It's a little disheartening really, but there also seems to be alot of happy owners too without any problems. Let's hope these wrinkles get ironed out. I can deal with the clicking, warm screws, but not some of the other more serious issues.

Also, is there any kind of money back guarentee?

I think you are interpreting my post incorrectly oldiebutgoodie....I was in fact trying to be helpful, not one of "these" posts.

I was not trying to say that the cord should be detachable or that this is any fault of the Cloud, in fact the long heavy duty cord is a plus in my mind. Rather I was trying to warn people that are making a decision about what case to buy that the 1200 is in fact not adequate in my mind. I felt it was necessary to bring this to peoples attention since prior posts indicated otherwise and in fact advocated for the use of the 1200. The 1200 is simply not large enough to accommodate the cord in an ideal fashion. I can get the Cloud, and a hydratube into the case...but that is it, no room for a grinder of meds, and it certainly is not a pretty scene squeezing them in there.

I have a feeling my number might come up soon. Crossing my fingers. :)

My number just came up.. click click click click

Sorry, posting on FC with a 100% operation Cloud can lead to some stupid posts after a few hits.

Hang in there, guys. Its worth it. To those of you that got bad ones, Im sure SM will make it right and you'll be amazed when you have a 100% operational unit.

I just skimmed the last few pages and saw that a few people had some bad experiences with their cloud, I just want to say that I have been turning folks around to the wonders of vapor since i pealed my cloud out of the box like a rabid child on xmas. I love it, it works great on all temps with all flavors and types!

Perhaps you're cannabis isn't potent enough for vaporization?

The first herb I used on the VXC left me disappointed, to say the least. I thought the unit was defective, over hyped, etc.

But then I decided to go get a real sack of medical flower tops. That changed my whole outlook on the VXC. It is truly an entirely different way of vaporizing. Even vape throughout, smooth at any temperature, and the ease of use is ahead of any other vaporizer on the market, IMO.

This is a fair point and question, as I have only used mine with top quality sensimila, I have no idea how I would preform with lesser quality product.
