Thanks man, much appreciated. I plucked the necessary pieces of foam out then realized I needed to do something with the cord. I ended up having to fit my hand in the spot that I plucked out for the Cloud and use a small knife to painstakingly cut a 1.25" tall cavity 13 pick'n'pluck pieces across and 10 pick'n'pluck pieces deep underneath where the HydraFoot and ELBs are located.Thats really nice dude - how did stuff your cord away?

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in here as honestly, its been a rough and brutal few weeks for us. The dates that we were giving our customers were the dates that were promised to us. There is really no sense in airing any dirty laundry between us and the folks that are assembling our units but after the first batch of the new Clouds went out without the right temperature, we had to do more investigating onsite.
Like I said, we can point fingers at them, they can point fingers at us, but at the end of the day, that doesn't get you guys who have been patiently waiting for their Clouds any sooner. Just like the email said, we're doing things the old fashioned way now, we're building them ourselves. Some of you will get tracking numbers tomorrow, some will get them next week. At least this way, we can test each one individually before they go out as we make contingency plans for how we will scale up production again.
Obviously this is shitty news and I don't blame anyone for being pissed off. All I can say is that all of us are rolling up our sleeves and putting these things together as fast as we can without losing any attention to detail. Again, while we were communicating to the customers what was communicated to us, we have to accept full responsibility for the delay. For those that can be patient with us, you will be rewarded with a kick ass vape. I know that a few of you guys that already got the properly functioning Cloud+ can attest to that. OK, no more typing for me, back to building.
Dilemma: Order the Cloud now, add to the pressure on VXH to get units built by hand, make for more stress. OR
Order the Cloud now, reassure VXH that we believe in them, and trust that they have it in hand.
I'm gonna ponder that for a few...
I thought my buddy had it bad with some Kush blend that actually tasted like turkey. Well, on second thought I'd rather smell pepperoni than taste turkey. Either way, all good in the Cloud!!This could be vapor talking but I got this strain LSD and I am pretty sure it smells like pepperoni!
***EDIT*** I am not saying this is a bad thing.

I wonder if we could "petition" Mobius Glassworks to request they make a Stereo Matrix Hydratube™ for the Cloud heads.(It doesn't have the same ring as the Packer's Cheese heads, but fuck it, I'm vaped)
We'd love this. He turned us down a couple of years ago.I wonder if we could "petition" Mobius Glassworks to request they make a Stereo Matrix Hydratube™ for the Cloud heads.(It doesn't have the same ring as the Packer's Cheese heads, but fuck it, I'm vaped)
True!!I'd settle for a single matrix HT. I'm not greedy.
We'd love this. He turned us down a couple if years ago.
Try nudging him again, SM...maybe he'll have a change of heart? It'll be worth it for all of us...
This reminds me of the early radio control modeling days. I now live in the Puget Sound area but I was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. My Dad and I started out on free flight airplanes but went with Radio Control in 1961. The Sepulveda Basin is located near Van Nuys Airport and the flight communications were very close in frequency to our bands, which played heck on those first basic handmade radio controls. You would be flying along fine and the next moment the plane would take off on it's own. Sometimes they would stop working altogether. If you can imagine how long it takes to build something that can fly on it's own, only to have it crash because the technology is not developed enough, then you have an idea of what we went through.
On another note. If someone buys a Cloud because of this thread, fair enough if they come back and point out that it doesn't work any more. People need to know these things to make informed decisions.
It doesn't matter WHY they buy, anyone is free to say my Cloud quit working, the temp isn't right, whatever, but we have a rule against product/company bashing (you HAVE read the rules, right?). We've had trouble with SOME members who just won't quit complaining, and a few who take great delight in repeatedly bashing companies as if they're saving the rest of us from a fate worse than death. The deal is that you can post your unhappy experience with the product and/or company, but rabble rousing isn't allowed. On another note. I for one can appreciate what they're doing and keeping us in the loop as to whats going on behind closed doors, IMO is quite out of the ordinary but at the same time extremely honest and I for one applaud that.
Just so you know, my husband has told me that he would be happy to assemble our own cloud, if we can order the parts for lessI just would like everyone to express patience today with our customer service team. Today we have all hands on deck (including myself) @ the manufacturing floor building clouds. The CS team should get to cases later in the evening.
