Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Slightly Medicated

(SliM) Iron Lungs
I think they made the change and removed the flared end to make the assembly easier. I imagine now they can slide the heater over the end of the glass making assembly quicker. I also noticed the newer units (the ones I saw at the Seattle cup) all have some form of give/play/wiggle in the stem.

I do not know enought to know if it could ever slide completely out of the unit. I would have to defer VXH on that.

Makes sense. I will say, my Clouds bamboo has play as well, even with the flare, just not the ability to move more than the glass allows. Being careful, my glass hasn't moved (that I can tell) at all, since probably the first couple weeks.

But, just from what I've gathered here, I don't see any reason why a replacement glass tube couldn't be made and slid in place. I mean, if High Sigh has removed his Clouds glass tube, and put it back in, and his Cloud worked until the glass broke, I don't see why another glass tube couldn't be put in. It seems like VXL must just slide one through as well, I'm sure there's more to it, but seems like it could be done, for somewhere less than 400 bucks.

But, only VXL can say.

Customers,

VXL does not offer a replacement glass tube, a inner glass tube "bamboo" can't be removed in that fashion and replaced. For the cloud to work it requires heater core to be fused to the outside of the bamboo, any attempt to perform this at home will be unsuccessful and potentially dangerous.

I've been vaping this stuff tonight in the Cloud. Wow.

It's kinda like kief that sticks together a bit. I tried some mixed with herb at first but then put about .1g in by itself and it vapes really well. Damn thing won't stop hitting and it's starting to irritate me! I feel :whoa:.

Seriously, I give it the thumbs up for Cloud consumption.

Wow. i wasthinking of getting another vape and looking at the cloud and life saber. i came here expecting rave reviews and more pressure to spend more money on the cloud vs LSV. but allthere reports of breaks and malfunctions...! it still sounds like you love your clouds so much you dont consider the issues that big and are even willng to buy a second one as a spare. but, it sounds like a money pit. might just go with the LSV. thanks for the surprising insight!

Your choice but keep in mind that the vast majority of Clouds are not having issues, there is a one year warranty and VXH has been really good, though occasionally overwhelmed, with service. I would never refer to my Cloud as a "money pit". One of the best purchases I've ever made!

Vaplexus, the failure rate seems to be really low from reported incidents here. If you read the thread I think you'll get the right vibe. The thing flat works.

Hope my recent posts didn't play into your opinion of the Cloud either...I would have one for every room of the house if I could afford em! Said it before, and will again, Hands down, the Cloud is my favorite desktop vape, or any for that matter.

Thanks for the clarification Troi! So, with this info, do you believe your Cloud was defective when you received it, High Sigh?

Guys...the cloud sleev (which by the way I will have an update for everyone watiing on them later tonight!)

Here's your rave review: I've had zero issues with mine, and I've used the living shit out of it since getting it in August. Yes, I love it very, very, very, very, very much. But again, I've had no issues to consider, as you mention, and I've followed this thread and the previous thread before the Cloud's release, and as others have mentioned it's had very few issues overall, and they've been resolved with good customer service.

It's not a money pit. Conversely, with my routine down pat, I'm using less herb and still getting more than 'satisfied' during and after sessions. As I've mentioned before in this thread, I enjoy large pulls of thick vapor through nice glass, and the Cloud's performance is second to none in that regard, relative to all the vapes I've tried and own (and I LOVE all my vapes). The LSV is good too--I've tried it a few times and it gets good reviews.

Cheers!

I would also agree that a vast majority of people do not have problems with their Clouds. Most people come to forums and such to ask when they have issues. They do not generally come on and talk about how great something is. However, in this thread, you will see a bunch of people praising it, and very few people having issues.

Albeit, I am one of those that have issues, however, as soon as VapeXhale explained everything to me, I completely understood. I just had to ship my old unit to them.

Electronics fail. It happens. My Xbox 360 broke three times. That really sucks and I'll never buy a Microsoft product again. Point is, most of the products I buy have had a defect or something at some point and I have had to return or exchange it. I never question a product by the first warranty exchange. It happens. Even to my beloved Apple products. I guess the real test is if they fixed the issues in the newer models so that I won't have any more problems.

I'll say it again, I'd buy the Cloud in a heart beat again. And I would definitely buy a backup Cloud if I could afford it.

In other news, They received my Cloud yesterday and I will contact Phil today and see if he can give me the tracking number for my replacement.

That just happened...
I'd love to see a cloud taken apart. Specifically the bamboo and the method the heating element is bonded to it. Once my warranty is over ill take mine apart but I have an early unit that no longer represents what is currently shipping.

You can also read the patent. It has pretty detailed information about how the Cloud is assembled and why it is the way it is. I posted a link quite a ways back. Let me see if I can find it...

(original post)

Patent application - The link is huge thats why I did it as words instead of the direct link, it's at uspto.gov link.

I used this to make it a PDF to view the images: http://free.patentfetcher.com/Patent-Fetcher-Form.php

I'd be shocked if you can get a tracking # so soon, unless they're ready to release a lot of units. You're definitely not at the front of the line.

He said, in the email that I received regarding my case, that as soon as he received my Cloud unit, he would send a new unit back in the same business day.

Hence, why I even thought to ask for it. :-). Just sent my email to him.

I can only assume they're all caught up, since the same day turn around hasn't been happening lately.

I have a cloud just sitting in my room with a broken off male joint, was eventually going to try to take it apart since there isn't really anything else to do with it.

Ok I sent Phil an email directly early this morning, and I just called and left a message. Let's see what they can tell me about the status of my warranty claim :-). I hope I'll get a response today or something. They received my unit yesterday at 10:40am.

For everyone waiting, were processing returns right now. For those that have been waiting we have been waiting on new inventory, today new inventory just came fresh off the production line and is in our QC process, were tracking to have this inventory out of QC by the end of the day (hopefully before our shipment deadline). Worst case scenario all outstanding returns will be shipped tomorrow.

Troi, just heard from Phil. Thank you guys so much. This response time was a lot better than last time. Thank you for all your help! Have a great day!

VapeXhale is honestly the best!

Hopefully Phil will be able to send us tracking numbers once he has them. Thanks so much!

Does anyone else get thrown into a coughing fit from the cloud? It's not because the vapor is harsh, I believe it's because the cloud extracts the thc so well that when it hit your throat it instantly dries it out for a second because thc is a mucous irritant. Anyone like to share their ideas on it?

I really do wonder why It cant be slid right in. Either mine wasnt fused right from the start, or somehow its just so weak that pushing in an ELB breaks it, but I do not see any marks from it ever being connected, despite the STRONG smell of superglue it emitted for the first few bowls. Either way it seems like I will not be able to get a new cloud from warranty, and WILL NOT buy another one, due to either a bad unit, or just a weak one. I guess it is what it is. And to people who think I broke it on my own, I have owned about 5 different vapes, and mannnny glass pieces, and still have yet to break something. As most all of you on here probably do, I treat my vapes and glass as if it were my child.
EDIT: My cloud still works by the way, even though the glass tube isnt connected, it still seems to perform the same, although it is a PITA and probably a hazard to be using it....

Maybe if you took your "Bamboo" piece to a local glass blower, maybe they can fashion something like that for you. And then it wouldn't be as hazardous my guess is. And that's jus my guess.
