Robot here.
It’s been a long while since I updated the forum. Haven’t felt the need since SM and Troi have been so loquacious with their posts – I am not one for redundancy.
Nevertheless, I thought it made sense to write a hearty thank you to those who helped make our maiden trade show a resounding success. I did not attend (day job and family responsibilities did not permit the travel). From what I understand, it was a resounding success. As hard as I push our guys, I cannot find it within myself to complain about winning “Best Product” of the show. I am very, very proud of the lads. Not just for producing a kick ass product. But for conducting themselves in a professional and dignified manner.
Several good things in the works:
·We have increased our production capacity. We now have our heating sub-assembly manufactured in Philadelphia and shipped to Northern California for final assembly into the enclosure. All still Made In USA – and proudly.
·We continue to hunt down and eliminate bugs with our ecommerce process. Bryan is doing an excellent job. He has replaced the entirety of our infrastructure and has done so with nary a hiccup.
·We continue to receive offers from distributors but so far, very few make much sense economically. And since we sell the things as fast as we can make them by going direct to you (and now brick and mortar shops), that channel remains on the back burner for the foreseeable future.
·We have fixed the level of discretion vis-à-vis shipping (or previous lack thereof). Apologies for this.
·We will be attending the MMJ show in Los Angeles called Kushcon. Who knows, I might even make an appearance. If you happen to see a guy in a suit in our booth looking really awkward, that’s me.
Other issues that are still in process:
·International versions. Trust me, no one would like to begin selling into the market beyond US borders more than I would. But right now we are all working 16-18 hour days between our day jobs and VapeXhale. And as has been noted, you’ve got to get the basics running flawlessly before adding more variables to the proverbial equation.
·Availability. We are making Clouds and glass as quickly as we can. Our contract manufacturers are running at capacity. This, unfortunately, is not sufficient to meet demand. However, we have had a couple meetings with them and they have committed to ramping their capacity to match demand. And just as importantly, forecasted demand over the next 12 months.
That’s all for now. Thanks again for riding the Vapexhale roller coaster with us.
