I think they are. I had to dump the water out and squint a lot..lol, but I think I saw glass in between the cuts..I am having troubles telling for sure. Does not seem too "fizzy" IMO.Are the slits gridded? That is, are there little pieces of glass breaking up the slits in to more than one opening? The website says: "Inlines are already known for their excellent diffusion qualities and each slit has been gridded for even more diffusion." It does not specify how many grids each slit should have. Inlines are gridded anywhere from 1-8 times, making a huge difference in the flavor, diffusion, and chug of the tube. Inlines with no grids are quite chuggy, IMO. The more grids you add, the more of a "fizz" you get as many smaller bubbles go through lots of little holes. For vapor, I was hoping for 2-4 grids to strike a balance between smoothness and flavor. Can hydraline owners chime in with how many grids their slits have? The older ones look a bit different to me.
