So I got a shipping confirmation email this morning with a tracking number. I'm like a kid on Xmas eve so I click the UPS link to find out if I'll have it in time for fathers day. The link tells me that it was delivered yesterday and signed for by our receptionist!!
The weather has been really cool around So Cal these days and according to the forecast this weekend is going to especially cloudy.

Nice! I'm still waiting to hear back from Phil
We'll be launching a separate website shortly where you can by Cloud accessories.
a couple days ago I was hitting it and as I pulled the tube off (SGW) it started like a syphon action which let a small amount (the thing doesn't hold much in the first place, and it was a tiny fraction of the water) of water down the perc out the dewar joint and down into the VXC...
Ofcourse, steam and hiss but I immediately turned it off and dried up the small wet mess (most of the water had stayed in the ELB and soaked the herb). Turned it back on a few hours later and no problems. However....
I am an old vripmaster, and I know the tell tale signs and sounds of glass weakening, and the joint is getting a bit loose. When I look down the VXC I see all kinds of flaws in the glass I never saw before, and like I said the joint is starting to feel loose.
Anyway, filled out my warranty registration and I am trying to get this thing sorted PRIOR to it actually breaking. I am sure they are going to get me dialed in no problems...
It just occurred to me that if all the remaining pre-orders are now about to be processed, and that number is in the hundreds as some of us have speculated, and we know that many will not have been following this thread (or the preceding) all that closely so there will be a multitude of questions and comments and complaints and . . . well, can we just imagine what this thread is going to become like in short order?
I thought of tossing in a few applicable smilies here, but realized that there would be just too many. The one that seems most fitting isn't in the list . . . the "fasten your seat belts". So I'll just settle for

per the instructions leave the elb in the cloud overnite. It becomes "trained" and is very easy to pull outI just warmed up my new baby and decided to video my first session with her for posterity.
edit: My ELBs all fit extremely tight in the male joint of the cloud. In all the videos I've seen it seems easy to put in and out and I see people just popping it in, and removing it with a fingernail. There is no way in hell I can do that with mine.
I was afraid of damaging the elb the first time I put it in because I had to push reaaaaly hard to get it to go down (seemed to get stuck about half way in). Removing the elb after was impossible to do with the unit on. I had to let it cool all the way down because it took so much manipulation with the (hot) joint in order to get it out.
Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.
Well, that's easy to do in theory.....but I wasn't gonna wait until tomorrow to fire it up.per the instructions leave the elb in the cloud overnite. It becomes "trained" and is very easy to pull out
the point that I was trying to make was that it gets easier with use. I was using mine 10 min after the ups guy dropped it off. enjoyWell, that's easy to do in theory.....but I wasn't gonna wait until tomorrow to fire it up.
I'll give it a try tonight... Thanks, jackstraw.
. . . I was just wondering and sorry if this has been asked before but does anyone have any idea how soon it will be until an international version is released?
I apologize if this has already been asked but i have been reading these posts for a while and did do a search through them again to make sure and i couldn't really find much on the topic.
Perhaps stonemonkey might know?
