Hahaha whenever I get packaged stuff I don't even wanna open it.. I used to get cool stuff like colas and cereal! Lol things can be fun when the government gets outa the way. PA passed medical! We should be seeing some progress in this election.. Hopefully..? Anyways that shit looks great dude and gorilla glue #4 is all the rage right now. Especially in Colorodo, He got you the good shit haha. Have fun dude I'm about to test a new one for me, maybe some of you have heard of it? It's called hippy Crippler. It's a hydrid and its a cross of AK47 and Blue Satelite. Looks and smells great and should be awesome

Yeah I'm in NY , I'll be honest I'm the same I had this for 2 days now and have not opened it. Lol I like the cool stuff also. Tonight is def the night though. Good thing is my buddy takes a ton of trips there and is always bringing back goodies. Sometimes it's not in cool packing though. @Oogendoogan nice. My main strain is blue satellite. It vapes so nice in the EVO. I have other kinds but it's my fave. I bet the ak crossed with it is nice. Haven't had any ak for a while.

right on! i have never tried blue sattelite but i have tried one of its parent strains, shishkiberry or something like that lol. im actually finally about to fire up my first elb of the hippy crippler i will let you know how the AK mix is. i have had a line on some super good ak for a while now so i will be able to compare it. this stuff looks amazing!! hope it vapes as good.

@Oogendoogan haha yes! Shiskaberry is indeed one of its parents. Perhaps that's why I love the blue satellite so much. Shiskaberry was the very first sensimilla I ever had way back in the day when all we had was pressed bricks round these parts. We didn't know what it was called until much later, we just knew it was dank.
Do you all ever get just high enough with your EVO and get into a TV show or an album enough that when you reach over to pack another ELB it's blinking and stone cold? Yeah, me either...

My Evo finally arrived this week. I must admit, it was hard to contain my excitement opening the box after all the positive reviews. Anyway, I first did 2 good burn-offs to remove the factory smell (quite clearly present on my unit). I then set the dial to 11 o clock, waited for green and took a hit through the dry stem mouthpiece.
8 ELBs and 2 days later, here are my thoughts:
Negatives:
1. The whistle when drawing is driving me absolutely crazy.
2. Feels a bit flimsy in the hand, but I understand the need to use lightweight materials.
3. The dial is a bit “loose” feeling. The one on the LSV feels smoother, stiffer and higher quality
Positives:
1. Let’s not mess about: Flavor! The vapor from this device tastes amazing.
2. Efficiency: up there with the very best ever.
3. My ABV is 100% evenly vaped. No hotspots or dark patches. The color is totally even. The Mighty used to be my benchmark in this regard. Not anymore.
4. Clear red/green LED to let you know when it’s ready. I love this.
5. Versatility to do small and large loads fast and slow.
6. The ELBs deserve special mention. They are really well made and do a great job.
Overall, this is the best performing vape I have ever used by quite some margin. It really delivers what it claims in terms of clean, dense vapor. I do believe the LSV is capable of delivering an experience close to the EVO, but it is tricky and I still get it wrong half the time with the LSV even after years of use. Needless to say, I am more than happy with my new baby. If someone can help me eliminate this awful whistling, I think this really could be “the one”.

Afte my experience with 4 units, I know every unit whistles differently and on different draw speed. But it's always whistling in a very narrow window on draw speed. Just try pulling a tiny bit slower or faster and it will shut up.
The nagive of this would be the combination with stiff power cord that tends to slide the unit down the table. But you will get accustomed to the lightweightness of the unit. And don't put it on the table with the cord going down anyway, that's risky even if the unit was heavy. On the table only if the cord is secured through a hole.
If you put on the heat shiled, the dial gets hidden in it enough so you could not accidentaly bump it anymore. Also you can put two wristbands above and below the dials, so it touches it on both side and provides some extra friction. THIS was my former EVO and it was overkilled with wristbands, only the two above and below the dial will make the trick.

I also dislike the whistle, it doesn't bother me too much, but I could definitely do without it.
Sadly my unit has the worst whistle on the most comfortable drawspeed...

I had a whistle when I 1st got mine but it seems to have disappeared after some use. I actually hated it at 1st than got used to my draw speed and found I got the best hits if i took draws right below that whistle sound. Now i kinda miss it , i do hear it sometimes with different pieces i use with it. Give it some time , it very well may go away on its own , if not just mess around with draw speeds.
@justvapin if using the sleeve there is a strap you can put under the bamboo this may help , i wouldn't stick cotton in there , but that's just me. I also find when blocking that bottom hole a bit , it is easier to combust so be careful.

Oh I'm not going to do that (I don't have any issues with whistle), and I agree it could be possible to combust if not careful. I was actually thinking about the strap when I suggested a small piece of cotton. If I were to try it, it would be a very thin wispy piece so as to not create undo restriction, but maybe just enough to stop that annoying whistle. It was just a thought anyway, maybe not a good idea.....

Whistling goes away with time! also use the strap! Look up Evo faq on YouTube and the first question is why does my Evo whistle so loud and the answer is the bamboo.. Obviously but then they explain that it will go away a bit with use and eventually should only happen at occasional draw speeds and it will be quieter
also the strap on the heat shield, will make it almost go away especially if your not inverting the Evo, if you are strap it really tight and it will still make a huge difference. Nice review man, hope you enjoy your Evo as much as me. I have a SSV and LSV that haven't been touched since I got mine KindaLikeMe

I've been tempted to pick up a Cloud Evo for a while now - my Volcano doesn't get much use since I bought a Mighty, but a desktop unit that doesn't use bags does appeal.
I read a rumour recently though that VapeXhale may be working on a new unit and that now isn't the time to buy - anyone heard anything similar? Worth waiting or should I just go for it?

The price of the vapexhale evo is pretty good rn and I was happy spending $450 on it a couple years ago. It pairs nicely with the mighty but is completely different

Agreed! I own both (and an Errlectric eNail, which is a completely different beast) and wow do they complement each other extraordinarily well. Not only that, but if you buy one of these for your Mighty, you can easily use it with whatever glass you use with your EVO. Pretty cool...

They have had new ideas in the works for a long time. I bet they are done lol, just waiting to release because the Evo is still at the top of the market. Why replace something when it's already considered one of the best? I don't think they are the type of company to hold out just to make more money on an older unit though and I wouldn't be surprised to see a pocket version and maybe something like an improved Evo that can be cordless, or maybe it will just be cordless but I don't see them taking away the cord completely, if they're gonna make a new desktop it will be a heavy hitter like the Evo i would imagine and they would probably at least keep pass through for people who medicate at home mostly? Idk but that's what I see in the future from watching the current vape market. Also Seibo has said in interviews that they are working on a portable for 2016-2107 so I'm thinking a new improved maybe portable Evo? could come with it?
Don't think that makes this a bad time to buy an EVO, prices are lower than ever and this vape will stand the test of time.. People are still using their volcanos and those were designed way before, I don't see the new VXL models making this one completely useless. And they sure won't be cheaper lol.

Cloud & Cloud+ never had the whistle problem. Bamboo was different and more open airflow...
I own a Cloud+ and 2x EVOs...
My Cloud+ no whistle at all...
Both my EVOs whistle like crazy indeed. There's a solution while you adjust your draw speed...
But I prefer mine not to whistle at all...
This is my solution to "whistling EVOs"...
I got medical gauze, any kind will do...
Just got a single layer... You can even play with 2 thin layers... Up to you...
Use some tape, any tape will do. I prefer masking tape... Leaves no residue... Easy to peel and reapply when changing/replacing the gauze...
IMO it works really well...
Also, you can see, all the dust and dirt, the gauze keeps from getting inside the hot bamboo while drawing...

I just wanted to let you all know that it is absolute garbage. The joints are very poor and the 18mm ground glass connection does not fit on the EVO without wobbling from side to side. As such, it lets air in. Please do not waste your money on this when there are others out there that are much better for less money.
I have 5 pieces of china glass and this is by far the worst. I will stick with Yingmin and Sunshine Store from now! Just an FYI.
