He would prob need to know exactly where the lip/edge at the top is also , like how far down from the top and also a measurement of that lip so it stays put in the bamboo.

How long is a NAIL?
Machine Shop Day Tomorrow.
The EVO UNIT I LOVE!
So I need some NAILS that don't break?
Baskets that don't fall apart?

My new pack 3 day's use?
Uhhh... how on earth do you manage to do that?

I'm imagining you as Andre The Giant trying to pack an ELB but just having such excessive size and strength you destroy each one. Eventually you just smash them out of frustration and let out giant roar.

Like I said I love the EVO.
The first two baskets lasted 5 day's. (OK squeezed)
My new pack 3 day's? (no squeezing)

TI2 machine shop action.

The Vaporizer Industry is not up to speed.
The weak link is WPA's, GonG'S, NAIL'S & BASKETS

MATERIAL that does not effect flavor and doesn't break?

I used to tear or crush them alot but that was when I used to squeeze and wiggle them as I held it upside down to unload. I since have switched to using a flat headscrewdriver to both pry the lid off and unload the elb. Since switching techniques I haven't had any problems.

I expressed my concern and although Vapexhale is going to resell this bad turbine they promised it wouldn't be in a standard priced package this time and it will be sold as a scratch and dent. So that's a good thing.

I haven't seen the standard HT scratch and dent sales before but they must have had a lot of them by now with all of the returned glass.
How much do they usually sell them for? Heck if it's $50 or something that might be a hell of a deal for someone! I may even be in the market for a Scratch and dent HT for a discount when that sale happens again if the price is right?

There's a scratch-and-dent sale on the Symbiartic Chandelier HT, for $449..... vs the normal retail price of $499, its only $50 off.

@stickstones

How does the reclaim hemp fiber work? I tried reclaim by scraping the golden residue from the top of the female joint on my HT's. When I finally had enough to scrape into a nail I did such... and found the taste AWFUL (think I'm still coughing from that months later too!)

I did only one dab out of each of the nails pictured below.

I gave them a hot ISO bath to get the black gunk out, but they still look the same.

I'm using high quality, clean concentrates.

What am I doing wrong or is this normal?

Try soaking them in some Smoke Soap in the microwave for three minutes. That should get them a lot cleaner.

Congratulations to everyone here, because your evo club now has me in it!
My setup is evo -> whip -> water bong.

My review? 5/5
I'm taking bong rips like the good old days.

4-5 big hits at any pace I want and then I swap out the ELB for another round.

Congrats @KennyPowers ! It's the one device consistent enough that I don't hardly smoke anymore, unless friends are smoking and I'm out. I had portables before, and some hits are great, but a lot were weak. Much more consistent bigger hits on the EVO. Plus the concentrates, oh lawdy! I was never very good with the torch and guessing the temp on crystal bangers, and no matter what I did with pens it was always burnt hit city pretty quick.

For the VXNs if you don't use a torch you can use some steel wool to clean that smudge that accumulates mid-way up the nail. That's what I've been doing lately. I had some extra fine stuff that I laid in for cleaning the inside of the VB2. A torch would, no doubt, be much quicker, if you have one.

As far as keeping the bamboo clean, the biggest things I would recommend are keeping the dabs as close to a one-hit clear as possible and make sure that there's no concentrate on the outside of the nail. In my experience the bamboo stays pretty clean. I haven't had to clean inside save for the inside of the 18mm male joint that collects vapor residue pretty quickly but that can be maintained with a quick iso/cotton swab cleaning.

Well I got my replacement elbs the other day from vapexhale that I was told would be checked before shipping and I guess they were not. Same problem , they are way to loose and fall out when inverted or rise up when not and inhaling. I don't like them like this. Good thing I still have two decent originals I just cleaned that fit perfect. I emailed them again , hoping they can help but to be quite honest , I really don't want loose fitting elbs so I have to worry about them falling out on me.
There are slight variations in both the bamboos and the elbs. I would ask to see if maybe they have a slightly larger one. I had the same problem and they were able to sort it out. My friend also had a problem with his bamboo being smaller than most, purchased during the "give thanks bundle" and they sorted that out as well but he had already sent it in to try to get the bamboo switched out for a slightly larger one, and the new correctly fitting elbs were the solution.

Is an infrared thermometer an accurate way to keep track of the bamboo? I'm getting 255 Fahrenheit at 4 o'clock.

I think juist checking wouldn't help with a problem like this. They could have checked it in a slightly tigher bamboo.
But the bamboos should have very tight precision standard.
Same problem , they are way to loose and fall out when inverted or rise up when not and inhaling.
Have you tried reshaping them so they fit better?
For example the first thing I do with brand new ELBs is that i gently press on their bottom, so it gets pushed a bit inside and the bulge on the bottom straightens (or even inverts) so the ELB can stand on its own. That also widens the bottom a little, so it could also help with your looseness.
Just do it gently and hold the ELB by sides while doing it. If you just put it upside down on a table and press on it full force, you will break it almost as bad as in the quote below.

What? I don't even...
...did you pack them so much they exploded?
I had the same ELBS for liek 2 years and other than some discoloring they're still shaped like brand new.
Just treat them gently and they will last.

Ugh, I'm so frustrated. My Evo is doing that thing again where it won't shut off, it only does if I unplug it. No amount of toggling the switch on/off with the dial in the reset position seems to be resolving the issue either. I guess I'll just leave it unplugged for a while and see if that helps the problem.

Obviously not the biggest issue compared to mangled ELBs and questionable glass craftsmanship, however. @ataxian I actually managed to accidentally squish an ELB beneath my foot the other day (it rolled off my table without my noticing) and even then its still usable and doesn't look half as bad as yours! You must really be putting them through some rugged use :p.

I am so careful!
Maybe I have a bad batch?

The Glue or Weld on the cap seems weak?

I broke my NAILS as well?

Like I said it is just for medical needs.

I think if your a recreational user your needs might be different?

Looks like I need to leave this tread!
Sorry I need to make my own accessories for my needs.
The FLAVOR is really good just the attachments are lame!

With the dial cranked to 5, the thermometer would sometimes show readings in the 700 degree range... which is what made me think it wasn't a super accurate read.
Wow 700! I did the readings after 20 minutes went by and at 4 o'clock the highest temp I could achieve was 260 with my infrared. I was definitely getting hits and great flavor but im not sure if my gun is giving faulty readings or the unit. I'll give it a thorough testing today as the weekend is almost here!!

no way Jose, Infrared hates shiny surfaces like glass. and trying to read in that little hole will be a no go anyway. You will have better luck with a probe style thermometer. Even a meat thermometer will give you a better reading than a gun on this unit. But the chart they have is damn close.

@ataxian Those look rough! Are you cleaning those by dropping them into a blender ? ;) Don't ever bend them out of original basket shape at all and they should last much longer.
