Regarding the heat shield debate, I learned from this thread to put the wrist bands at the top, and my neoprene heat shield (half height) over the top of it. This has always worked well for me, but perhaps putting even more air between the outer layer of neoprene and the heat from the body of the EVO as
@covercash has shown will work even better! I don't have a full length heatshield to try, but think air insulation is a worthy consideration for future EVO heat shields.

I received my EVO back from VapeXhale repair a few weeks ago (thanks Bill and the VapeXhale team for repairing and sending my EVO back free of charge).
Not sure if it's my imagination but the power cord receptacle looks slightly different, it has a lot of texture, and the power cable seems to come in and out easier now. Has anyone else ever noticed this after a repair?
My EVO runs a lot hotter now. I used to start an ELB at 11 to noon and get 3, 4, 5 pulls out of a basket.
Now I start at about 9 to enjoy those first terps and get 3 or 4 pulls.
A single pull at 12 o'clock is enough to get everything I want out of a bowl, and a second pull tastes quite toasty.
I think my unit must have got a reprogramming or upgraded firmware! Awesome. I'm looking forward to re learning this thing.
