2. Inhale very slowly. The faster you inhale, the more of a chance that you pull the liquid up the stem of the VXN. I am at the point where my nail comes out almost perfectly clean with no honey residue on the stem.
Super important! I had forgotten this part on my first try & ended up with a tiny bit being pulled through the stem. Smells fine now & now that I'm drawing slowly it works perfect.

4. Always load from the loading hole at the bottom
Did not realize this at all, good tip.

Vapes on vapes on vapes!
The nails have landed! I'm not one for pictures or videos, but I can say that these things kick ass. I actually just got some concentrates for the first time in my life two days ago and the double cap method was working alright, but this is a whole new level. I followed the advice and loaded as little as I could let myself :p. I had it at about 1:00, but will turn it down to noon or lower for my next ones. I let it sit a couple of seconds then *boom* it started to vaporize so I quickly tossed on my HT and went along for the ride. I normally write like an essay when I'm vaped, so this post is concise for me. I'm sure there will be more to come as my first hit was amazing and I've got plenty more.

Curious as to if I received a cold unit.

I put my vape at noon on the dial and left it warming up for 12 min. I came to take a toke and received little to no vapor at all. I than vaped with maximum temperature, after another 10 min heat up to be sure it was heated enough I received a nice hit. Just curious because my original unit at 11-noon would give me some pretty fat clouds and this is my upgrade unit I received for a trade-in. I am awaiting my nail attachment next week for concentrates to give that a shot. Maybe my old unit was just running super hot since it did gives fat clouds under noon on the dial.

Do these run much cooler than original units? Also on the dial for flowers what do you guys normally run if you are looking for fat clouds near bong toke level on your evo? Do you receive vapor at noon for flowers?

Thanks

It might be the normal, but compared to my original unit i traded in though it wasn't which is why I am asking. When it cools down I will go with 3:00 and report what happens. Want it to cool down completely to test it properly.

Update: 3:00 has little to zero vapor as well. Only way to get a nice hit is to max out the dial. I am starting to think i have a cold unit.

Update 2: When hitting max on the dial it turned green again within two min and produced little to no vapor. Sitting another few min it than produced a decent hit. What is happening is the unit is thinking it is hot enough when it is not.

Update 3: Set the dial to 3:00 and waiting 10 full min on my evo and had little to zero vapor. Set the dial to max waited an additional 5 min after the previous 10 min. and finally received a acceptable hit.

This is a bummer because I just waited two weeks without a vape for a trade-in to have to now send my new unit back and wait another two weeks since it is not performing. VapeXHale needs some sort of advanced RMA system to receive the new unit first. I am diffidently waiting for my nail though next week because I have been dying to try my shatter in the EVO and have been saving some of this nug run for it.

Anyone else having this issue and having to wait longer than the green LED to actually produce vapor?

Try setting it to noon and flicking the switch on and off a few times. I think that's how VXL said to reset it. I know some people have said it seems almost like there is a break in period with the heater. I run my EVO around 1:30-2:00 and get huge clouds.....My VapeXNail was supposed to be delivered today but somehow it ended up in NJ instead of LA...thanks USPS. :hmm:

After having my Evo back For a little more than a week my bamboo is broken again… =(
Exact same problem as last time, After using it and turning it off I would hear small cracking noises which eventually got louder and then tonight I examined the bamboo with a flashlight it has a very large crack in the exact same spot as last time.
Wouldn't be such a big deal if I wasn't in Canada but the International shipping fees are killing me.

When attempting the reset does anything happen to indicate it has been reset? I did not see any indication when doing that, but will give it a shot.

I don't believe so...but maybe someone else can chime in with more knowledge.

Correct, nothing happens that is visible.
It is a software reset feature, so it all happens in the PC board of the unit.

Hey everyone,

I have a question about good technique w/ my new EVO. I currently turn it off for 10-15min on 12 - 3 oclock. Then I take a couple hits. I then want to chill for an hour or so and come back and take another couple hits, etc.

I do this for a few hours. Should I leave the unit on the whole time or turn it off and reheat in-between sessions? Also, if I leave it on, do I leave the bowl in?

Thanks!

i do just that many times a day ,Feel free to leave it ( at a slightly lower temp ) and then crank it back up. Do not leave the ELB in there as the heat from the evo will cook it , you want those delicious compounds in you not the air around you !

Give this a try: Turn the unit on at max, you will probably get green in a few minutes. That indicates that the heater has reached the setting. Now wait for the thermal mass to build up, in this test wait 20 minutes. Is the top section (above the screws) very hot to touch? If it is, dial back to 3. Be sure the ELB is loosely filled no more than a half. Then take your hit. If you're not getting a strong hit or the unit is not very hot at top, submit a support ticket. There have often been subtle factors that the VXL guys can identify and resolve w/o needing to send the unit in. Not saying your unit is OK (hope it is, of course), just that a lot of times service has turned out to be unnecessary.

As far as a comparison to the OG, many have found that to not really be all that helpful. Some of the OG's just ran hot. Also, the heat range on the EVO is wider than the OG. My EVO between 2-3 is close to my OG between 12-1. But my EVO also begins to produce whispy but tasty vapor at a low setting, closer to 9-10.

And re the nail, might be worth repeating that the beta testers have pretty consistently found that less is more, both in size of the dab and the temp. After the unit reaches thermal mass, 12 seems to work well for many and the concentrate goes farther -/too much not only wastes, it can get messy, too.

Good luck.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. The same thing happened to me twice and it can be frustrating. I was lucky that Vapexhale took care of me quickly as always but there is that turnaround time and the cost of shipping would be a killer :( I empathize with you.

On a side note it just occurred to me that of all of the products I have ever bought I think I know more about Vapexhale as a company than any of them. I wonder if this is a new revolution (or perhaps evolution) of sorts. When I was getting my MBA ~ 15 years ago their were always major shifts in businesses like when Henry Ford made mass production mainstream. When I was studying it was all about information sharing but I feel that Vapexhale is pioneering a new kind of business transparency that drives peoples loyalty. Given all the hiccups that this company had I somehow feel personally connected to the CEO even though I don't really know him and because of this transparency I am willing to let things slide. It is as if it were a good friend of mine starting a company and I wanted to see him successful.

Maybe this is the start of a new trend with companies or maybe I became a fanboy of a company and did not even realize it. Hrmmmmm :) Makes me ponder.

Same thing happened to me. Two weeks after I got a new bamboo it broke - same issue with the crackling noises too. I sent it in on Friday to be re-repaired. VXL paid for the shipping this time.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried this and it does allow me to get a nice hit, but I still cannot clear an ELB (no combustion) in one hit anymore such as with the original cloud. I just cannot get my Mobius to milk like it used it with a nice thick layer, but now only really thin layers so I am pretty sure it is running cold. After I build thermal mass the unit does get very hot, to hot to touch. I have opened a ticket with VXL to see what they have to say on the issue and will go from there.

On a side note, if we have to build up thermal mass each time, we are not really getting a faster heat up time than the original unit, which took 10 min and green meant green. Now green means nothing if we have to build a thermal mass. I just would like an indicator that is accurate and green means go like it used to be.

Actually, I'd be for that suggestion.

When I show the EVO to someone new, I don't want their first hit to be wispy. I want it to be thick and full. When I heat it up from cold I always give it 15 minutes to be safe. I don't follow the green light at all really until after it's been on for 20+ minutes. If there was some indicator when the thermal mass was heated up fully, that be awesome.
