Got my vapexnail. First reaction was that it feels flimsy for $25 + shipping. I do love the design though. After using it, I feel the price is justified, but I should have a spare since it is easily breakable. Also have a glass dabber stand to put it on IMO. I happened to have one to use that fits nicely.

Now onto the actual review....WOW. I used a micro micro dab. I got effects of a much larger dab on a nail or pen.


My only question is "is this thing like 3-5x more efficient for other people, or have I been using nails wrong somehow?!"

Really I'd love to discuss efficiency of this, because unless this was a fluke I can see a gram of oil lasting me easily 3x longer with this product. Totally blown away. I just don't get how it can be so much stronger per weight than a quartz nail. Either way very well done on this product vapexhale.

Just got my nails in the mail. 1st impression is that they are weird looking, quite a bit different than the prototype looked. How are you guys going about loading more liquid-y stuff like Co2 oil? I will test tonight and let you guys know what I think

I am very impressed with the nail. I really don't dabble in dabs: the very idea of a blowtorch in my hands sends shivers down my spine. I could accidentally do a lot of damage with a blowtorch. I'm impressed with the flavor at 12 noon: I don't get this from a skillet pen. Very medicated very fast. Yeah, I'm glad I have more of these coming.

Not sure why people keep saying this. Wanderlei is famous for being hard to hold down and he's faced bigger blankets than Chael and guys with better top control. Arona had the exact same threats to Wanderlei and he managed to reverse Arona and stuff some of his takedowns as well. Wanderlei's actually one of the tougher fighters to keep on his back. The guys who have historically exploited him were the ones who could abuse the fact he throws loopy, wild hooks (guys like Cro Cop, Liddell, etc). Even an old school, wrestling and slam heavy Rampage, had a hard time controlling Wanderlei.

But this is wildly off topic so it should end here.

Pride Wandy was juicing like crazy. He's been a shell of his former self since Pride. I know he's getting older but its funny that once the testing started, he looks human. Chael will dominate him.. I doubt he finishes him but if he could hold top control on Anderson for 4.5 rounds, I cant see Wandy being a problem.

Neither one of my EVOs gets hot enough to clean the stem portion of the nail. The concentrate seems to travel up the inside of the glass tube. Does concentrate get sucked up the glass nail to stain the glass sides? I have trouble grasping the obvious.

If you hit it right the part of the dab you don't want is left behind in the nail to be "cleaned" out. The heat is enough to "clean" it a ways up, but of course, you will eventually have to clean it. My ultrasonic does a great job, look for more info on that and cleaning fluids soon from the beta team.

Got my VapeXnail in today too - been testing all day!
Here are the results after heavy 1-day use.

It took me about 5 tries to really dial-in the temperature and sizing of the dab. Now I feel like I got it down pretty good. It is indeed insanely smooth yet still effective.

My EVO gets plenty hot and also only self-cleans to a certain height.

So who owns an SSFG Hydraline? Do you just use a normal hydrafoot and it holds it fine? Or did you rig something up, something custom made?

I always thought I'd end up ordering a Deadfoot stand, too, because well, they're just cool, dammit! But it turns out I really like the mobility of the hydrafeet. What I don't like about the hydrafoot, though, is JOINT LOCK!

My solution? Wrapping a pipe cleaner around the base of the HF stem (my second HF is taller and required 2 pipe cleaners. I was like "BFD."). One of my better fixes, really, despite it being so utiltarian. I've never had a hydrafoot stick to another HT again! No goopy SlideRight. Easy one-handed operation!

So now the HT slides onto the hydrafoot rrrrreeeeeeaaaaaallll nice, coming to rest on that soft cushion. No grating sound of glass crashing onto glass, anymore, sounding like it's about to break. I can be much more casual with it now. It never locks when I put it on, & it always rocks my socks when I take it off! The Hydraline is still my favorite HT, far and away, because (although the Swagger Showercap really impressed me): it's easier to pull, easier to clean, easy on the eyes, and she even takes ice. What a lovely piece of glASS:

...wow...my "nail" arrived yesterday...however, will not have some shatter until later today...glad I read through the thread to hear the experiences of my fc brethren ...when I saw stonemonkey on 4/20 he had articulated quite clearly to use a real small amount of medicine...plus I remember my initial reaction to the hit he gave me...I was fucking smashed...and couldn't finish ...what looked like to me a "micro amount"....and for someone who had used cannabis for over 40 years...I don't consider myself a neophyte...so....I don't believe I will fall prey to putting too much in...did notice that we kept the evo at max for that session..well...lot's to do today...have to go to cinch-de-mayo..in addition to the appropriate dispensary for the necessary ingredients ...cheers everyone...and thanks for great feedback.....and what 'not to do"s"...note: wow sd...that looks like some heavy testing!...

Ok I just want to write and say I'm super jealous of all of you with access to concentrates and would buy a VapeXNail if I had access. :-(. Oh well, such is life.

Also, I'm still rocking the Evolver HydraTree v1. My wife dropped it off a 5 drawer dresser onto a wood floor and no damage whatsoever. That thing is a tank. :-)

You won't find an EVO that gets hot enough to clean the enter VapeXNail but it will get the bottom area clean. Here are some tips that I have found over the last few weeks:

1. Use a tiny amount, I like to keep it so I can finish it in one draw (this will take some experimenting)

2. Inhale very slowly. The faster you inhale, the more of a chance that you pull the liquid up the stem of the VXN. I am at the point where my nail comes out almost perfectly clean with no honey residue on the stem.

3. I've used temps as low as 10 on the dial. It takes the concentrate a little longer to liquify, but once it does, you get cooler vapor

4. Always load from the loading hole at the bottom

5. @SD_haze got it right a few weeks ago with ice wax... I find nothing to taste better through the VXN

The HL is my regular piece. It sits fine on even the newer, smaller base hydrafoot - used it just last night. That said, I agree with Stu that a Deadfoot stand is probably safer; when I'm really ripped I find it easier to place the HL on the stand because I don't have to think about it.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I think stuff on hydrofeet are tippy looking. I glued glass circles on my HT's feet, but I also found plexiglass disks online. I picked up a few of these on Ebay to help stabilize other glass toys.
