Here are my scientific factual observations regarding said whistle:

I suck air through the cold bamboo of my EVO (w/o HT or ELB) and I hear a whistle.

I suck air through the cold bamboo of my OG (w/o HT or ELB) and I do not hear a whistle.

I repeat this with a hot bamboo and a loaded ELB and HT and reach the same results. My EVO whistles but my OG doesn't.

All this research is an enjoyable way to spend an evening after a long day at the office. This testing was made possible thanks to Vapexhale Labs and some of the Bay Area's finest Blue Dream.

All that said I recieved a package with more ELBs than I ordered and 2 wristbands. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Since I have had the EVO all my other vapes have collected dust. It has changed the way I medicate and I have been doing LOTS of experimenting since getting the ELBs and the Gordon Recycler. I have never experienced the effects and flavors from such low temps, which is what I do during the day... right now however I am at three doing huge hits of kief through water. The EVO is amazing and I almost want to buy another one

EDIT: The EVO also blows my mind every time I dab with it. Best flavor and effects ever achieved with oil vs any nail I have ever tried glass, quartz, TI

. . . Sometimes I experience some weirdness, today it flashed red for a second. And my LED doesn't alternate between Red / Green it's more like green / amber (red and green LEDs on at the same). It's weird, but doesn't affect anything.

No guarantee, but AFAIK that's not weird. Both of mine do this, too. I like the green/red combination.

And I'm pretty sure the whistle definitely has to do with ELBs. My old ELBs no whistle. New ELBs and I got the whistle. I'm almost 100% positive it has to do with ELB size. But that's just my theory.

The whistle is created by the airflow movement. In my experiments everything I tried that would have an effect on the airflow also changed the whistle (some more than others). So bamboo, intake velocity, ELB, load, glass, and possibly temp, are all contributors. On my units a relaxed draw stays below the whistle while producing equal vapor.

The variance of glass and personal experience is going to make these reports anecdotal at best. I am not trying to set a standard or anything because I don't think you can when we get into this much detail. I was merely hypothesizing on the idea that when you are "roasting" a load, the sonic vibrations combined with the vacuum in the "system" might "wring" a bit more out of your medicine at a lower temperature. This is totally subjective and I am probably wrong.

.....I concur...I find my different Ht's produce a different experience with the whistle on the evo...some it's louder than others....some don't produce a audible sound at all...they ALL though produce lovely vapor...after that it's quite subjective...but....further study is warranted....

  • Clean ELB = Happier clouds imo

• I'm considering using the OG Da Vinci Oil Can inside the ELB for concentrates. Am I crazy or is that an idea that doesn't smell like a turd?

If you have a carb cap and want to get as high as a giraffes ass you can do try this, run your evo through a cloud buddy using a nail with a male connection to the other side. While the EVO is inverted start heating your nail. This works even better with an enail but works fine the other way too. Once your nail s ready to go start slowly pulling to get the airflow going and drop your dabber in.

You won't feel it right a way but I promise it's like a kick in the chin by a goat! The cera does this well too with the EVO.

In my trials (3) it seems to last about two or three hits or roughly 4 -5 minutes. Of course it also depends on ambient temps. If you take it out into the cold it wouldn't last much past a hit I'd guess. Also it lasted longer if I maxed the temp setting for a couple of minutes before unplugging.

As cords are cheap (or available from old printers, etc) I have "empty" plugs in different rooms so I can just unplug and plug in at a new location.

Here some action for the people
I start around 9:30 or 10 dial… this video is the start at low temps, I really enjoy those flavors the most…
That's the main reason why vaping attracts me so much... 2 or 3 preloaded ELBs… EVO's been on thanks to Wemo since early morning… Hot to touch…
Gives really good vapor loaded around a 1/3… after vaping all ELBs and stirring a bit… I run them again at 12 and then repeat at 2, 2:30 or 3 depending on many variables, weed, temps, time of EVO on, etc etc etc, only people that own a Cloud or an EVO would know, the rest just wonder and
right now I'm typing and hallucinating but it's so worthy

Some pages back there was a link to some black nylon brushes. They absolutely great, cleaned my ELBs great. Like new.

What's everyone's favourite strains with the EVO so far?

For me the best have been:

1. BC God Bud
2. Jack Herrer
3. Blue Dynamite

I've found these 3 my favourites so far. With that said, all the strains I use milk super well. Just those 3 have the most overpowering effects.

I agree. The VXL guys are AWESOME. When I got my broken unit back, it included a hand written note of condolences on the recent death of my dog, and free stuff to help improve my mood. Plus a follow-up from SM to make sure I got the extras.

In 20+ years in three industries, I have never known another vendor to behave like that. Phenomenal people every time I have dealt with them.
