My pics disappeared? Well I'll try to explain. The Glass Claw helps with side by side setups. Notice that the claw, in the pic, is making up for the height difference between the two and any
sort of off balancing issues. When I want to load an ELB, I tilt the claw up and everything remains stationary. Since everything is held together with the silicone bands, I can adjust for any odd angles needed to pair An EVO with a glass rig.
The Claw stays mounted in the glass rig and I simply tilt it until the business end to fit into the 18 M/M. And it has a carb. (the red thingy)

I was just recently contemplating how to do exactly this. Do you have a breakdown of how this is assembled?

Any sort of Y or U connector will work. Getting those 90s so you have that pivot action. Silicone bands to keep the 90s from falling out and so you can simply turn them as needed.

I like being able to keep things stationary and the EVO prefers that as well. Tired of pulling an EVO out of the socket and having an adapter fall off. I don't fuss with having to try to line up the height for a side-by-side and be all exact. Good LUCK!

Haven’t posted in weeks but I gotta say, Cloud Evo/ Swiss Tree HT STILL probably the best thing I ever bought in my life for less than $500

I’m MMJ so I use flower around the clock. If I’m home the Evo is on green LED seemingly 24-7.

I have a hate/hate relationship with the built-in shut-off. I totally get why it’s there, I’m totally glad it’s there for my own protection, I would never try to circumvent it, but it’s a PITA.

The ELBs or (MY WEED BASKETS!) as I so affectionately call them, I have 6 of them so far. They work nice for me. My fat diabetic fingers have no issue working with them, or removing them from the bamboo.

As you guys were talking about ELB cleaning methods recently. Here’s what I do.. Everyday I use all 6, 1-3 loads in each. At the end of the night I chunk all 6 (lids off so 12 pieces) into a pint jar with an inch or more of 90% iso alcohol. Put the lid on. The next morning I rinse them with tap water, dry lightly with paper towel without pressure and I don’t bother drying the inside. It’s dry almost instantly. Chunk them in my “clean dry jar”. I’ve found removing them from the alcohol jar with a fork is super ez. I have soaked them as long as 24 hrs by accident and they are all like brand new and have been doing this since they were new months ago.

I had trouble with my Evo sliding all over the wood table and it was annoying. I put up with that like 2 days and I cut a 6” square piece of that new fangled non-slip shelf liner, and that my friends, locked her in place.

All I can say is I’m about to buy a 2nd new cloud Evo from Vapexhale because I could not stand to be without mine for a single day. I depend on mmj for moderate to severe chronic pain, and none of my other vapes can even come close to taking me where this thing does, not to mention ease of use, flavor, etc and good grief does this sucker produce the most dense vapor. I call this vape FOGHAT! It’s a workhorse and I just love it. If you knew how hard I am to please it would speak volumes.

The Swiss Tree I just change the water everyday, then once a week it gets an overnite soak in iso in a gallon zip-lock bag. I make sure there’s plenty in the inside top and bottom of the HT and I just lay the bag on its side in the sink. Then I give it a shake every so often when I can. When it comes out I rinse it VERY well with hot tap water to get all the iso out. It’s a sparkling beauty all over again.

Final note- I thought for a week or two that the overnite alcohol soak was causing the bottom seam and the vertical side seam to either rust or corrode because it looked dark and weird. I was terrified I had been inhaling that stuff like crazy. I googled, but nothing. So finally I took a hobby knife and cut the ELB completely open. What I found... NOTHING. It’s an OPTICAL ILLUSION. It was all super shiney. What I was seeing is where the mesh overlaps. Phew... that was scary! Glad I checked it out though.

Temperature- I know every Evo is a little different. Mine seems to be just right for me. I keep mine on cause that heat soaking is pure magic. I start my day with Sativa with the knob at 11:00 position. Sativa is breakfast of champions! In the afternoon when my pains ramping up, I switch to GSC or similar hybrid and the knob moved to 12:00 position. An hour before bed I turn it up to 1:00 position with mk ultra or similar indica. This is a knockout punch of Mike Tyson caliber. ZzzzZzzZZZZzzzzzz

The whistle- I love that sound, it signifies the pain will be controlled soon! Mines not too shrill... it’s not an issue on mine, I know YMMV.

This is why I don’t post high. I’m always high so I seldom post but I love you guys and THE EVO!
I might be high/medicated 24/7
Many scientists consume CANNABIS and write papers of their findings?
But hey da EVO is tool of ENLIGHTENMENT with the end goal to reach CIVILIZED BEHAVIOR!

Re the recent discussion about "factory second" HT's . . .

I bought one last week, a Precision Hydrabomb, primarily because I thought my wife might like it, what with it being smaller and being a side-car. I was wrong. She definitely likes the Evolver Hydratree we've been using, much better. And so do I. We were both under-whelmed and actually disappointed in this latest generation HT.

About the "second" cosmetic blemishes: I don't think I can find any in this piece. It's possible that the blemishes are the warbles I can see in the seam around the top cap, but I can't be sure - I don't have another to compare it to. I can't find anything else. Certainly there is nothing which negatively affects the function of the piece. Consequently $70 is a pretty good deal compared to the usual retail. But . . .

only because the usual retail price of $150 IMO is way too high. Actually, I'd say this full-retain piece should never cost more than $100. So $70 for a "second" is reasonable, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's terrific. I was surprised at how small the piece is; there is very little volume so it is really just a small flow-thru piece. There isn't much of a chamber to speak of. The perc is a scaled-down Mobius Matrix perc so the action is good but a chamber/volume of that size provides very little conditioning. And the small-diameter stem makes me feel like I'm using something made for a child. I do like that its base is the diameter of the EVO; along with its smaller size overall, enables it to sit stable on top of the vape and eliminates any need for a hydrafoot or stand.

Maybe my perspective is distorted by having always used (since 2012) the early HT's many of which were made by excellent blowers like Evolver and Swagger. Those pieces ran from ~$150-250: Very good value at the lower price point, sometimes over-priced at the higher end, but still certainly much better performing and more aesthetically pleasing than the (sorry) tinker toys VXL is selling now. YMMV and likely will.

A side note: I just tore the bottom mesh off one of my ELB's. I've had a dozen in rotation since '12, and this is the first one to wear out. I've always really liked the ELB's, mostly because of the performance they add but also because they are easy to use and are durable. Given how clunky many vape bowl setups are, this feature stands out IMO.

I ordered factory seconds of the graphite Lynx and graphite Helio that should arrive tomorrow. I've got no experience with the unit at all yet, so it'll be interesting to see a first-timer's perspective perhaps.

I also just got some VXL glass, one piece a factory second......

The Helio and Calyx (both graphite) and a Precision Swiss Tree.

I like the Swiss Tree a lot. It was a second and they had a sale, so I paid about $100. The only flaw I can find is a small simple in the glass that you need correct lighting to find. I really like it. It doesn't hold much water, but conditions well.

I love the Helio and use it dry as a mouthpiece and on the Calyx. The Calyx would be great if it was just a bit taller. There's not enough room for water above the percs that won't leak out the male joint above unless you are taking the lightest of draws. Needs maybe 1/2" more room.

I also got the whip connection and really like it. The glass mouthpiece cools quite a bit on its own.

Tried to get the EVO to work stationary without ant stability issues. Never getting the right height or angle. So I came up with the Glass claw. The silicone bands keep the 90 in place like socket.
Like tendons in a claw. A GLASS CLAW!:science:

Any ideas on a merchant who carries 90 degree adapters? I've been searching for a while, (including some USA stores) but I'm a having trouble finding them.

Someone recently asked about concentrates and the Evo. I switch back and forth from concentrates to flower almost every session, here is my feedback .

The glass for concentrates work pretty well although they do need to be burned off after each fill which is kinda annoying .

Any kind of concentrate works well, just use a small tool to place your dose amount inside the tube, drop it in and wait about 10 seconds or so til you see a wisp of smoke inside then out your tube on. I give it another 20 seconds or so then get 2-3 rips off. I also burn both at the same settings, 1-2pm on the dial.
Take off the tube, turn the heat all the way up and burn off the carbon for about 5 minutes until you font see smoke anymore.

The quartz nails are more expensive because you can use a torch on them to clean them better, that's it.

The Boro nails function the same, they're just harder to clean. You will get done burned on residue that will require an alcohol soak every few uses for optimum efficiency..

Biggest issue for me personally is that concentrate hits are lung busters. Flower I can rip on all night but concentrate I gotta take a breather between hits,. Fortunately a few rips of live sugar gets me going pretty quickly.

I'm considering a second hydratube for concentrates to smooth out the hits But not sure which is best.

Thx @Krzydmnd for the concentrates feedback. With the vapor feedback I think its best I continue holding off trying concentrates until my water piece comes in. My supplier mentioned that he hoped to receive it shortly which is nice to hear. Vapexhale notes that there is no best hydratube, rather it comes down to personal preferences (i.e., how much conditioning one wants) and potentially how different or similar one wants another water piece to be from what they already have.
----------------------------

As for doing concentrates with the VapeXnail I thought this video was interesting. It's from Vapexhale, is a guide for doing concentrates and they don't drop it in the tube. Take a look... any comments?

Have y'all been checking the VapeXhale website? It looks like my supplier was correct on VapeXhale moving their water pieces to the graphite style.

I'm really enjoying the EVO again as this weekend starts. I'm taking much smaller draws and the EVO is just so damn efficient. Lots of flavors in the first few draws. It doesn't hurt having some great flower .

What are you using to cover the male end?
Not sure what you mean? The Red knob? That is the bottom cover for bottom of the Bamboo of your EVO. I placed it over a broken 18 mm because it works.
Sorry to repost the pic a third time. Unless it helps you.
If you are new or like me, unaware, IMGUR IMGS don't work here. :bang: Please STOP using imgur | FC Vaporizer Review Forum
Been looking all over for this piece. Thank you!
Cool. I had a much simpler GonG idea in mind when I picked them out. That seller had some other interesting Y AND U hooks and adapters as well.

This glass carb fits my main rig and covers the EVO's socket with a lot of open area around it. The carb is kinda nice and functions great.

Got it, darn. Mine is second hand and didn't come with one. Perhaps I can find a cheap silicone plug for 18mm male ground glass, or a fancier cap of some sort. Glass noob with unhelpful local options (that I've found) so I'll do some more scouring.

Drop in the tube Do you mean the material and how they put it in the nail? As soon as the nail hits the heat tye material will drop down to the bottom and start to boil so it doesn't have to be all the way in
Yes, but I'm not sure the material will drop. The dab was put literally right above the slit. I'd hypothese that if it liquifies and drops it will form a droplet in the gap of the slit and some would likely end up on the outside of the VapeXnail. Has anyone tried placing the dab like this method in the video above the slit and if so what's your experience?

It's a surprising place to put the dab on the nail in that video to me. YMMV. I thought I'd post it up and see what people here say :sherlock:.
