It's perfectly fine to use the EVO inverted, just don't leave it inverted over long periods of time. Heat rises and the board is located on the bottom, so set it right-side up when not hitting it.

On another forum there is a person that is spreading false info regarding the EVO. Dredging up the problems the EVO had early on. Suggesting the vapor isn't safe. This person has been bad mouthing several vaporizers that I actually love. Don't listen to everything bad that you read about regarding vaporizer safety. Sometimes misinformation is spread and those looking for a vaporizer is put off. Not everyone knows what they are talking about in various forums.

FC is a breath of fresh air among the vaporizer forums. That's why I have chosen not to be a part of that BS type of community. Thanks for everyone that contributes on this thread and on this forum.

Agree with you wholeheartedly on that. To me, how can a vaporizer with the taste profile of the Evo have unsafe vapor? I suppose there are chemicals that we dont taste, but this vaporizer never fails for me in regards to taste, even at higher temps.

So I've had my Evo for a few years now and I've never thought to do this, but is there any safe way to clean out the air path? like just inside the air path where the bowls go, or the vxnail, I've had some stuff kinda stain the side. most likely from when i've used my nails and couldn't get all the oil inside and it would rub off on the side.

My initial thought is, everything unplugged and cooled down, just seal off the bottom of the air path and fill it with ISO let it soak for a few minutes or hours, then drain it and air dry for a few more hours.

This is what I did. Mine was not real dirty but it did have some splatter from using concentrates. I just left the ISO in for about 15 minutes. Worked pretty well.

Yes, ISO, or PBW, or a number of other cleaners (but I like ISO and PBW). HOWEVER, make damn sure you don't get any liquid down the cooling slits on top of the EVO. A plastic wash glove with the end of a finger cut off will work. Slip you joint on top of the EVO through end of the cut off finger, pull glove down over the EVO, put rubber band (or similar) around the joint/glove to keep it in place. You now have an umbrella for your EVO.

Plug the bottom and use about 12 ml of liquid, this being the approx capacity of the bamboo.

Carefully rinse and let dry thoroughly. I would do a burn off afterwards also just to make sure as I definitely do NOT want to be inhaling ISO fumes.

I use dish soap and SIMPLE GREEN?
CHEAP!! TRIED PBW and ALCONOX and they work great for sure however My way works for me?

The EVO uses so little herb?

I keep the dial under 1:00 and the FLAVOR does shine! (EFFECT = CIVILIZED)

However keep in mind my younger studies was CHEMISTRY?

All things are relative I supoose, but after getting used to 0.02 loads, or less, in the vapcap, the evo suddenly seems quite hungry...

But it's ok because the evo and that extra herb takes me to a higher state....

So well worth it.....

Using just half of your load and saving the rest for the next time helps with a hungry oven. THe EVO is what I use when I want to strictly use a concentrate without intermingling it with bud. I don't like using the little pen vapes for concentrates. I haven't tried the cartridges though. I'm probably missing something.

Did you know that you can use your Evo to heat up your VapCap Bro? I dont have a VapCap, but I recall @Stu or @stickstones or someone showing how you could do that. Meaning you could use a Vapcap without a torch. And i believe the VapCap starts around $30. I could be wrong about everything I just wrote I'm completely Stoned @the moment so forgive if I'm wrong. However the VapCap looks fragile too!
