Oh yeah! I've heard of the corn syrup thing before, actually. But I try to stay away from refined/processed sugar these days, which unfortunately includes corn syrup as well
. CU = cooling unit, basically the big block of plastic that twists on or off the Mighty. The vapor condenses/collects there, just like it does on the bottom of a HT, which means there are goodies to be extracted via ISO after a while
. I don't use any salt, just clean my HT frequently enough that the extra scrubbing salt provides isn't necessary. I wash my HT every night and just let it dry while I'm asleep
. (Usually, anyway, sometimes I forget /cough)
This tutorial on using an ISO wash to clean a grinder and how to extract the reclaim explains the process pretty much perfectly, just instead of using it on a grinder imagine using it on your HT!
Is it bad to remove the ELB mid-session? I have no idea D: So far it hasn't done any damage I don't think, and yeah like I said it can definitely provide some extra hits since it breaks down the material further! I also use a SCS (love it as well!) and while I do have a MFLB Finishing Grinder I find I don't need to use it for my material to be used efficiently and completely by the EVO, which is nice
. Saves me an extra step in the grinding process!
