Well, I got to spend some quality time with my EVO last night. First off, I have to say that I have never hit a VapeXhale product until last night. A grabbed an older Cloud+ recently as a backup for the EVO, but decided not to use it yet. I wanted my first VapExhale experience to be a new EVO through a hydratube, so I waited. This review is coming from someone with no prior Cloud experience.
My pics aren't as good as others:
As you can see, I ordered a dry mouthpiece also. I like variety.
Here is a shot of just the HT:
I will start my review by stating what kind of customer I am. I am not medical. To me this is for fun. But it is daily, so my tolerance is high. I switched to vaping a couple of years ago because I always seemed to be coughing up something or clearing my throat when I smoked. I am glad I made the switch, and my congestion has all but gone away.
But it was at a cost. Everyone is different, but for me vaping has never quite gotten me where I want to be. I always seem to be 'not quite there'. Because of this, I tend to vape more often than I ever used to smoke. I have accepted this as a drawback to being healthier, and I accept the trade off. But I have always found myself longing for 'more' from a vape high. Again, I am only speaking for myself here.
I tell you all this because the EVO has changed the game for me. VapExhale has effectively created a time machine. To say I haven't been this high from vaping would be an understatement. I haven't been this high since I was at prep school in the 80s.
Many people are trying to fight intolerance these days. VapExhale has gone the opposite route: they are fighting tolerance. I can say that they are winning the battle. I have spent over 25 years building up my tolerance, yet the EVO cut through it like a knife.
I have never been the type to 'lose my shit' when I get high, but I can tell I'm where I want to be when I stop thinking about getting where I want to be (not sure if that makes sense). A lot of times maintenance of my buzz seems to require almost constant vaping.
Not so with the EVO. I filled an ELB about 1/3, then hit it until it produced no more vapor. I felt very nice, so I picked up a guitar and starting noodling around a bit. Usually that nice feeling goes away quickly, and I soon find myself back at the vape to 'top off' my buzz over & over. Well, last night when I went to hit the EVO again because my buzz was tapering off the EVO had shut off. Not because of a faulty unit, but because I had been high and just enjoying playing guitar for over an hour. I do not remember the last time I went over an hour before wanting to hit the vape again.
In summary, the EVO has given me a gift I had pretty much thought was unattainable: It got me
HIGH like I was a teenager again. I don't know all the science behind it, but I'm glad you guys figured it out. All I can say is thanks. I know this doesn't carry the same weight as when a medical patient mentions how much easier you have made their life, but thank you. You have given me back one of the joys I thought was lost.
In the issue of fairness, I must point out two negatives I noticed:
First, the device is a bit too much fun to use. I found myself going back to it just to use it for fun when I really didn't need any more.
Second, the tube is so smooth that it is easy to take a huge hit without knowing it.
So if you can overlook these 'flaws', I would highly recommend picking one of these up.
For those wondering about a learning curve, here are some pics I took of my second ELB. It is so easy to achieve dense vapor. In fact, it couldn't get much easier:
So in conclusion: I made the mistake of getting caught up in the hype of how great the EVO was going to be. This made my expectations unbelievably high.
Luckily the EVO made
me unbelievably high, so it all worked out just fine.
Thanks again to the whole VXL crew for this awesome product. I couldn't be happier that I was able to play a (very) small part in your resurrection.
