The amount of time it took to get the tiny amount of vapor it produces is far too long
Your skills are obviously better with the VOS than the LB. It can produce a lot of vapor if that's how you choose to use it. I prefer small hits with this one though, and with a fresh load and a fresh bat, it takes all of five seconds for me to get one.
I'll take your word for it.

I can vape (instantly) whenever I want with my VoS, and so can you.
Tried it. Don't like it. Don't have any interest in improving my skills with it. Pretty much like your experience with the LB I guess. And I consider clicking a lighter, often quite a few times to no effect, to be less stealthy than the LB, and in some cases the iolite's hissing would be less noticeable. Different strokes....
I've used my VoS on an airplane (going to and from Hawaii if you want to know), on the freeway, on a ski lift, in the movie theater... the list goes on. Nobody seems to care. Also, I've told this story time and time again (at least once in this thread)... I was driving with some friends to Pullman, WA from Seattle, WA, and we were passing through Ellensburg, a notorious speed trap, when we saw the blue and red lights. Right after we had just taken a few hits. So we pulled over, rolled down the windows, and the cop asks to search the car, which the (idiotic) owner agreed to because the cop could "smell the weed" even though smell is no longer probable cause... anyway, cop searches the car which contained 4 VoS's (yes, 4), the cop picked up my personal VoS, sniffed it (it was full of tasty herbs), and put it right back where he found it. If that's not stealth, I couldn't tell you what is.

it's ridiculously easy to break
If you mean the LB, I'd disagree, unless you're trying to break it.
When my friend handed it to me he said, "Careful, don't drop it, it might break." I dunno if he was being facetious or legit, but I'll take your word again. I must say, it didn't exactly feel sturdy in my hands.

carrying batteries around with you is not exactly what I'd call the ultimate in portability.
Carrying a couple of extras, (rarely necessary for my needs) takes a lot less space than my cell phone.
I wear fairly tight clothes most of the time. I find that even 1 extra battery takes up too much space in the few pockets I have. I suppose if you wear baggy clothes or cargo shorts or whatever, then yeah, they probably wouldn't take up too much room, but still, too bulky for me. BTW, I stick my VoS in my back pocket.

it smells and tastes like rotting wood.
Don't think I'd want to use his either, but my original is well used and odorless. I just keep the screen clean.
I'll ask my friend how much care he takes of his, cuz I really didn't like the nastiness that it is.

The reason the rest of the thing isn't under a warranty is because it's fucking invincible. I've done more to my VoS than I could possibly hope to ever do to an MFLB or an ioLite.
My experience was that it was much easier to damage than the LB or iolite. The one I used easily got some of the plastic melted while trying to figure out the proper vaping position. It wasn't exactly clear how to use it right away, and others shared my confusion. The directions I had were less than great.
The instructions for lighting are pretty simple... push up to 45 degrees, put your mouth on the mouthpiece, inhale while pushing up. Done.
Also... what? Are you serious? I've taken a blowtorch to the back of both my VoS's, run over both of them with more heavy machinery than I care to list, dropped it from 3 stories, thrown it across a parking lot, slammed it in a door, and hammered it with an 8-lbs sledge hammer for 5 minutes, and both of them still work and look like new, save a few scuff marks from some rather small pebbles, and some slight surface melting from the blowtorch. There is no way in hell you could do anything of the sort with an MFLB or an ioLite. Period. The chassis was designed with the sole purpose of being completely indestructable. You would be hard-pressed to burn a hole through it, basically is what I'm trying to say, haha.

Like I said, some will like it. Some will like other models. You have to weigh the pluses and minuses and see how it fits your likes and needs. It's not for me, and I've said my piece on it.
Couldn't agree more. I'm sad that you don't like the VoS, but I certainly won't force you to like it. I find that most people who like the VoS tend to be active, and love it for its durability and ability to be used in any weather.

The lb is probably going to be my next investment on one of these tools.
If you're like most, you'll like it. I think it's the best stealth portable for most situations.
He's thrown in his pennies and I've thrown in mine, it's your choice to make, but you should hear me out before selling your VoS. I would like to know how your first lighter broke (what did it start doing that made you know it was broken?), and whether or not you had taken your VoS apart prior to its breaking? I mentioned before that I broke my first lighter by inserting the pawl incorrectly, and I fear that this may be exactly what's been happening to you. If the lighters ceased to ignite once you pushed past 45 degrees with the mouthpiece (and they sometimes light after you've hit 90 degrees), then this confirms my suspicions.
I was told by my source that someone spoke to you on the phone last night for some time, but I don't have contact with that specific person, so I dunno. I would still like to help you resolve the problems you've been having with your VoS and send you some new, working lighters that I have personally tested and can confirm are of the same quality as mine. If you would be willing to, I would really appreciate it if you could send me your broken lighters so I can see for myself what's going wrong. Unfortunately I can barely afford to ship the lighters to you (please don't deny the lighters based on this. I am MORE than willing to send them to you), so that would have to be on your own dime. :/
If nothing else, please let me know exactly what you did with the lighters that broke from the time you received it to the time it broke. Research like this helps companies make better products, so even if you're set on getting rid of your VoS, I would appreciate it a lot if you could help make future renditions of the VoS better.
Despite what people say, I still don't work for VoS. It does brighten my day to hear that I'm the "face" though, hahaha. Yes, I am friends with several people that work for them, and there's no doubt that that influences my opinion on the device somewhat, but any one of them can tell you that I've offered unbiased, unadulterated feedback on the VoS since I first laid eyes on it. Because that's what they wanted. I'm the kind of friend that if you asked me for an honest opinion on your song, art, book, bike, gloves, fingers, toenails, etc., I would give it to you straight. Constructive criticism is far more helpful than simple praise, ya dig?
Let me know either here or via email where you'd like to go from here. I'll be sending you an email right after I post this with my phone number. I would like to personally talk to you about the lighters, but if you'd prefer to post here for the benefit of everyone, that'd be fine, too.
