I think we're starting to get better but figure it's going to be another week before we're able to wear respirators and get our shop work done. Fingers crossed it's not just a trick and the bug is actually planning a sneak attack. Seeing how sick a lot of people are around here with covid we're just glad that's not what we're dealing with at least.
No, like @arb mentioned the wood isn't the point of failure, it's more that the plug and internal wiring doesn't have a choice but to be very, very close to the heater which starts to degrade them due to the heat. In testing (way back when) we saw failures as early as just a couple-few hundred hours of use.. that's vs over 20,000hrs+ for our standard vapes.

Underdogette and myself are more or less recovered and back in operation. We're busy finishing up
pieces for a refresh and hope to have things done within another week.
This should be a nice update with pieces ranging from beautiful but budget oriented SC3 Vape Specials (Fig Walnut, Cherry, Oak, etc) all the way up to some Alpha+ units. Some of the pieces I'm working on are super nice, maybe some of our nicest ever to date so that's pretty sweet. Follow our instagram page for some possible sneak peaks before the drop.
Anywho just wanted to catch you all up while I had a minute. Thanks for everyones patience and the flood of kind words and well wishes.

What are the differences between the alpha and alpha+ cores?
I think you are right and we will do something great from this for the community. Just bear with us while we get caught up on all the work that slipped while we were sick.
The Alpha+ core has twice the airpath length to maximize heat exchange for the sake of higher performance.

I did feel like the Alpha had a issue on performance. The issue is not big deal from the fact it still produces big clouds. I just feel like sc3+ and sc3 are my awesome daily drivers since I micro dose.

I don't really think the alpha is missing anything. I think there are just some slight variables that can affect the use of it like with any vaporizer really.
I'm sure you didn't mean it as a slight but as a response to those that had issues, but how awesome is it that underdog keeps trying to innovate and come up with better versions instead of being complacent with their designs.

Been wanting to add another log to my collection for about a week now and I was undecided between getting the available Walnut SC3 or a WoodScents. Saw the recent update and figured I would wait for the drop to see what was going to be available to make a decision. I still plan on getting a WS eventually since I have a large DV collection but I'm stoked with the Alpha I purchased.
