Like that power supply. Does it have a name? (Not like Fred or Jill a model number. It would have been easier to just say that in the first place, why am I still typing)So, years ago I had a Dog and loved it. Once I invested in more "powerful" vapes, I sold it. The good news is, I have a new Dog in my life (thanks @bellas)!
My old Dog was larger and it didn't have a voltage regulator. This awesome trade came with a bunch of stems, screens etc. I am really digging the glass stems at about 12 volts.
Anyone have any tips, suggestion, etc? Anyone know what kind of wood and/or the name of this particular beauty?

A while back these were one of the more trusted, cheaper VVPS.. IIRC they were pretty sensitive at the dial..
There used to be some on Amazon, but it looks like all the ones I see are out of stock until who knows when...

I think those two purpleheart lost dogs are still in stock. Forgive me, but what's a "lost dog"? Are there imperfections or something? I was set on purchasing a walnut listed for $185, but it's now gone, so looking for my next affordable option.
All these logs work identically correct? It's just aesthetics all the difference sizes etc? THANKS!

Yeah. The 'lost dogs' have some cracks/imperfections. Those, I think, aren't actually cracked yet but PH logs are very likely to crack so they're listed as lost dogs anyway (my PH goblet from that same batch has developed some barely visible cracks around the core, no instability or performance issues).

No, that's why they're listed and sold as Lost Dogs. Purple Heart doesn't take heating and cooling as well as other woods and tends to crack.

@biohacker the lost dogs also come with a mk1 heater, the newer ones are the mk2, which is pretty much every dog but the lost dogs. Fwiw.

I think the Alpha Core was a short run, just before UD and UDette had to change locales....which, I believe, is not completely settled yet. To that end, your interest could possibly pique UD into another run, as I am also interested, being unable to find the funds first time around......

Still haven’t decided whether to keep them around long term but regardless I think we’ll have 10-20 available in May that are left over from the last run.
Not that many were made, less than 200 IIRC. They run the same heater as regular Dogs but have special stems with extra large bowls. There’s probably details here back in the thread somewhere.

There is obviously some demand, and no other log has this (epicvape discontinued their EV-2) so hopefully that helps steer you in the direction of bringing back the Alpha Dog!

Yeah they should be available in the first week or two of May.
They will be available in the first week or two of May. I recommend you send Underdogette a message so she can put you on her 'list' of people who want an Alpha. Since we have a limited amount it'll be 'first come, first serve' based on the list.
The Alpha uses all unique stems which consist of a Direct Draw Nylon stem with SS tip (larger version of our regular stem) and then 18mm NonGs in 'regular Alpha' size and XL size.

I like glass as well, but my Nongs don't alter the flavour and actually create a better seal on my pipes.
