I also finished up this Pup today.. lots of segments in this piece.

Zebrawood with Maple accents.

God damn this thing is mesmerizing! If you decide to sell it I might have to hop on that... How exactly do you go about creating these segmented ones? I know nothing about wood working, I'm just curious:) @underdog

Curious as well. Seems pretty interesting.

Also, in addition to enjoying having my little pup in my palm as I take a sip, I've found something oddly therapeutic about putting wax on it...

Since @underdog said something about it looking like a space pod, I've taken to calling it a spacedog.

Anyway. Enough from me

Keep it! I'd say it's a pretty sweet trophy piece/reminder of the hard work you guys put into this sale (and every other day!)

That was my initial plan actually but I'm running out of room to store my personal Dogs lol.. might be time to cull the collection back a bit.

I might sell this one, we'll post here on the thread if I do. Even if I don't sell this one I'll probably make a couple more in my spare time.

There's definitely something therapeutic about applying the wax! SpaceDog.. I like it.

There's a neat video of turning a segmented vase, I'm sure a lot of the process is similar but different for UD.

Very similar though the process I use is much simpler since I'm sticking with less complex segmented designs. For vape use I've found that too much segmentation causes problems down the road from the heat exposure.

I have used mine like that but it works much, much better in a small bubbler like the D020 or KO G line.

My experience has been the same.. Hydrotube type solutions work but not nearly as well as a small bubbler.

I knew it was small, but wasn't quite prepared for how small the micro is. My phone's camera sucks so of course these all look way better in person.

Like the description said, mine has some cracking. Right by the power port.

Got a few quick hits off of it. Seems a bit warmer than either of my Mini's but not as hot as the full size standard cores.

Man that is tiny! Those big leaf maple and myrtle burl pieces are straight fire bro.

Dude. The middle one and the one all the way to the left... Beautiful. Sweet dog collection.

So, I'm thinking I may just grab an Orbiter and use it with the jhook or a small stem rather than a whip. Anyone tried this?

Really I just want a nice desktop water piece that I can use without standing up and messing around a bunch. Feel like this is my best option, but at 3x the price of some chinaglass I'd like to be sure.

I've got a Matrix Sidecar from DHgate that's been working pretty well for me, it's sliiightly shorter than a D020-D (which I also had, but have gifted to my girlfriend to use with her incoming Blue Mahoe dog), I've been using it handheld on the sofa with no problem. The percolator has more slits than a D020, but I certainly haven't noticed any negative effects from the extra filtration, hits just as hard and the draw is smooooooth.

The Orbiter is really nice, I just can't trust myself with a whip mouthpiece attached to a snow globe.

Ordered a Holly Air Core from the holiday sale and couldn't be more excited to get it! Order #4184 from last Wednesday night so should be getting it in a week or two.

How is the Air Core compared to the original core? It's hard to find any real discussion about it.

I'm interested in this as well. Mainly which unit is preferred for water pipe use.

Well, I need a little longer with the standard, get them in the same room, on the same outlet and all that jazz (and I'm pretty high  ) but... the difference is... appreciable. The Air Core is a great vape but the extra mass in the standard pays off. Definitely still worth taking bong rips with the air core but the std. will rip harder.

Will need orings in an air core to use a GonG anyway so I'd say standard core will be easier (foolproof) for waterpipes.

Air core does look nice though.

Eh I figure if I'm using a water pipe I'm tryin to get riggedty riggedty rekt so I use GonG for a slightly bigger hit and overall session.

NonG do work quite fine though. Can confirm.

I mean I definitely don't need the amount of a GonG to get good effects but I get nice enough daytime effects from using DD stems (thus lower temp, shorter pulls... And I even use my GonG and NonG as DD stems sometimes... :ninja:) but I use waterpipes to get higher temp, longer pulls where I don't care as much for taste and just want to sleep or be sleepwalking

Used my 18mm NonG for the first time tonight, with my recently acquired Amboyna Burl Dog. Finished off with a sandwich of flower and bubble hash. It really doesn't get any better......
How do you like the 18mm NonG? Its by far my least used stem, the 14mm GonG seems to deliver a better all around hit than the 18mm NonG, I might just need to mess with the screen placement a bit more though...
