normal UD vs vvps UD - that's kind of like the difference between driving a 1-speed car vs one that can go slower/faster. some UD owner's normal power plug can go quite hot, whereas for my home, i need the vvps for a booster and for my UD i can see the difference especially on the higher temps. If you prefer simplicity and am happy with the current performance, go with the normal plug, more than enough to get you high. But if you like to fine tune and fidget with gadgets, the vvps is a nice addition.

Made a little gif of my new favorite way to use my Underdog vape.
GonG Stem + 14/18 reducer adapter + 18/18 un-difffused downstem => All-glass log vape wand!
(Be sure to apply the proper pressure when connecting to ensure the wrong GonG seal doesn't randomly break while upside down)
edit: $10 stem + $5 adapter + $10 downstem = $25 wand!
(Adapter and downstem were deals from a LHS)

I've been using almost an identical set up. Except I've been using a 14/18mm downstem, so it fits right onto my gong, no adapter. And then I've been putting some cotton at the top of my mouthpiece.

Only reason I had a un-diffused 18/18 downstem was for using with the vapexhale cloud (which did not work well at all).
Currently editing a really neat Underdog video using just the stock power supply & bubble hash.

I know you've all been waiting patiently for the upcoming refresh and I've got all the pieces done and sitting here but have been holding off while we try to make some more website tweaks. Should be putting them up soon, definitely in the next couple days.

Anyways to answer your question, yeah the Simple Glass Stems are still 3/8" and should work with a PD just fine.
@ SD - thanks, glad you like the poker/stirring kit.. was wondering if people disliked it and if I should stop making them lol.
