Wow!!!! I just got my tm2. Damn it is hella dope. I got the standard mouthpiece and then I got a bonus one thats the small bead stem with the basket screens in it. . Holy hell I’m stoaked!!!!

I noticed the vape came with extra O rings and screens. 1 additional basket and 2 regular screens. Where are these regular screens suppose to go? Do they got at the bottom of the vape or the bottom of the standard mouthpiece. Do I need to use them at all? Also this thing has some nice weight to it. I’m soaking both mouthpieces with the cooling unit in iso before I rip it.

I do wish the button was slightly larger and slightly higher up. I like how the unit feels in hand. But wish the button was higher so I didn’t have to hold it near the bottom to power it.

If they’re flat they might fit the one above the heater. There’s a ring that holds a screen to keep bits out if the heater; you need to remove the stem ring and metal cylinder below that to remove the ring with the screen. Extras are always good. Hope you enjoy the TM. Love both of my TMs, one since ‘20 and the other 1.5 years ago - best vape on the planet! :peace:

Holy shit!!!! No draw resistance on this at all. I ripped my first hit on level 5 and barely ripped it. And then I went for a second hit and pulled it hard and long like I do on my FF 2+. Holy shit!!!! I couldn’t stop coughing. Was a massive hit. Love this fucking thing.

I do struggle to get the mouthpiece in and out for bowls though. I dunno why. But it feels hella tight.

I take it I just need to keep the mouthpieces clean and wipe the oven with iso on a q tip once in a while?

Possible fix for temperature issues.

I had the issue where I had to switch from green range to white range to get any vapor, and eventually I had to put it on level 10 to even get visible vapor.

Emailed TM, after a couple tries and several days, and contacting POTV to ask if they could help, I finally here back from them telling me its my fault, but they finally gave me an RMA. Sent it in, the day that FEDEX told me they would receive it, I got it back. The battery cover was much tighter (I was afraid of damaging something, so haven’t been tightening all the way down), and it had been switched from the white temperature range to the green.

No visible vapor on green. Went to white range and I could get visible vapor on 10. I’m not a fab of TM’s customer service so far.. BUT I got bored last night…

TLDR:…I was wondering if it would even get warm on the white range, and being stoned, I tried it…many times. Yes the Lobo still gets me stoned fine. At some point I did some weird key press thing apparently, and it started flashing all the colors. I freaked and pulled the battery, and tried again. It might have taked a couple tries, but when I went to the blue temperature range, it was hitting harder than the green range had been. I went to the white range, and almost combusted. It’s working great at the moment on the Green range.

I’m not sure if it was the flashing light thing or the going to the lowest range then back up, but it’s something to try that doesn’t violate the warranty.

To whoever was saying the stem is tight, I bought a bunch of the cheap chinese stems pre-embargo and the sizing was all over the place. The Stainless one wouldn’t even stay in if you tilted unless you switched the o-ring, and then my glass stems didn’t fit. One of the glass stems was big enough that if you got it past the o-ring it left gouges in the glass (apparently TM uses hard metal). If it’s a cheap stem, look for another stem.

Congrats on the purchase., @ginolicious. It is truly an outstanding vape.

For the button location, try holding normally in your palm, only use your pinky or ring finger to activate it. It seemed awkward at first, but then became second nature and easier.

Also, for the tight fit, I rub a little CBD ointment on the o-ring near the mouth of the unit. Not a lot, just enough to keep down the friction. You can tell when that o-ring gets dry. A little lube enhances the experience. :D

In a pinch, the oil from the side of your nose trick has also worked. Sometimes I'll rub a smidge around the outside of the glass stem.

Hey hey glad you finally took the leap, always load your stems into the vape, with the vape upside down, you can press it in gently, with some force, turning it slightly to help it go in... Cleaning is so simple, with glass stem vapes, that is your chamber and your pathway, so the more you keep it contained, that's all you have to clean, and it won't need cleaning very frequently at all... In fact you can just swap the screen instead, for a while, potentially.

Don't forget to try super low settings on the dial, really enjoyable, of course you can use it with one setting like old school FF, but temp stepping with the dial tiny bit by tiny bit is so rewarding, much more enjoyable than FF ever was imo

Supposedly they arrive more fully cleaned these days too, otherwise all the metal would need a little ISO rinse is all

NOSE GREASE!!!
It’s always with you….

I mentioned this old trick my dad taught me, somewhere. You wouldn’t believe the unintelligent responses.
Just confirms the old saying: “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them put on a bathing suit! :)

Is it weird to say I love how the walnut smells when it gets warm.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a vape this good. This may have checked off all my boxes finally after all these years.

I take it the stem can get tossed in iso all in one? No removing the cooling unit or screens

I guess I can wipe down the cooling unit with iso quickly and not soak? Or how else do you clean the cooling unit inside?
I don't use them anymore, but when I did I just disassembled the cooling unit and popped the o-rings off of it and then dropped all the metal components in the iso.

I’m still using my original o-rings included on the cooling unit with my first TM. Each time it required cleaning, I would unscrew the cooling unit leaving the o-rings attached, and just drop in ISO for about 3-4 minutes. This has had no adverse effect on the o-rings as they work as intended and still look new.

Oh you need to unscrew that cooling unit completely eh? I didn’t know you had to do that.
I really like that they made that modular, so that it could be user-serviceable. Not that it requires a ton of maintenance, but just being able to get down that far into the device is a very good thing. (and, yet, they don't really want you unscrewing that Torx bit on the bottom... lol)

Bakin4Life,
was daydreaming this morning about getting a PH and a all black to swap the bodies
yeah if that option was available to buy that would be my pick between the various woods/colors... didn't see any 710 sales so just playing waiting game and buying rosin with my saved loot till word comes of whatever these teases are

The black accents look to be gaining a LOT of favor on the board.

I do hope that the finish is applied in such a way that it doesn't wear off. Like paint would (not that I'd expect that from the TM folks). From what I can tell from the limited info / pics, it's not anodized. But I'm not an expert in that field, either. I know it can wear, but it takes time, especially vs. something like paint.

yeah also a concern with the black but even when it's silver it can still get marks that are only seen in proper light angles etc.. flawless is never something that can truly happen if you use something.. esp if used often

OlfactoryHue,
The only thing that stays 'flawless' is something under glass, unused. Not expecting that. Just don't want to see wholesale reports of black finished parts wearing. And I don't expect to, tbh.

I used to want to keep my stuff (all, not just the herb devices) pristine. I still don't abuse the stuff, but if it gets a mark on it, I'm (finally) chill abt it.

(on edit: looking at the page counter... we're 10 away from a thousand (!) pages on this device.)
