I wonder also how would the standard wood options look with those black panels,they look awesome . I think Purpleheart with gold plated panels would be the ultimate bling bling version, but not sure if that is even possible considering gold is super conductive .

There are rumors of an all black edition coming out soon, so you might wanna pump the brakes on grabbing a TM2 monetarily.

Which will also incorporate as yet unnamed “functional upgrades,” which, if past practice holds true, will only be available in the all black model.

This was something I was worried about. A new model coming out. I guess I gotta wait a bit longer then to see how this unfolds. Firefly 2+ is gonna have to tide me over.

When you all clean your mouthpiece are you tossing it all in ISO? Doesn’t the cooling unit have gaskets on it? And are those safe for ISO? If not, how are you all cleaning the gasket? I was under the impression it could be dropped in ISO.

not really sold on an all black aesthetic but i'm sure they'll still have the other wood versions.. mainly interested to hear about whatever other little tweaks were made... would be cool to see more fancy wood options... is the black wood ebony or Cocobolo or something like a guitar fingerboard/bridge woods?

I swear, after looking at these pics on my laptop, vs my phone... I'm thinking the black version isn't wood... but composite (which could be good or bad, depending on one's view, and I am specifically not stating a preference, one way or the other).

Oh that's not good, that doesn't make my decision for a new electric premium vaporizer for on the go any easier.
I'm torn between the purple heart and the new frolic. I've never owned a tinymight, after the mighty i switched completely to the analog world.
But this might change things for me again.

I'm very interested to know if you find out more soon and if anything else has changed, maybe a bigger battery etc

It looks like black swamp ash to me...
If it is real bog-wood (Morta) and it will cost an arm. But it also could be black tainted or deep smoked swamp ash.

My decision was made on buying a new vape...TM or Frolic? TM always comes first. Frolic can wait a bit...I love this new version of TM. LOVE IT!

The black version doesn't do much for me. Looks (to me) too much like my plastic devices. TM, regardless of color, and Splinter remain my my favorite devices.

FYI, for those awaiting info on the black version... I may (?) have found some info. No guarantees, though!

Went to the TM2 website today to register my walnut, in order to request RMA / instructions, re: power button.

In the 'product type' dropdown, I saw 'walnut', 'purpleheart', and 'roasted walnut' (maybe the new black?) Perhaps @Radwin Bodnic could confirm, if he knows what roasted walnut would normally appear as.

I think the site also called this a 'limited edition' (has one of these been released previously, for the old heads patronizing this company for awhile?)

When I used to play music years ago, certain guitar manufacturers had 'roasted maple' necks, and they were darker, but not black looking.


TL; DR: Might have found info on the new black, but nothing definitive.

I don't think so... Iirc, The roasted walnut was a quick one off when people were requesting the purple heart and it didn't come to fruition the first time due to drying problems. It didn't look that much different to the ordinary walnut.

I just gave mine a wipe with ISO moistened q-tip on the interior liner(not the bottom) and did burn off at least 6-7 for a couple minutes.
If you don’t already have another 18650 battery get one preferably a Molicel P28A 18650 battery 2800 mAh, 35A or similar, you need 2 because it uses up a battery in 4-5 sessions and you can switch out batteries.
The most important don’t is don’t drop it, though durability is improved it damages easy, I have a leather jacket on mine and adds a little bit of protection.

Thank you. I have my TM2 in hand. Initial impressions - wow! This thing is beefy AF. I love how well it's made. I'm going to think about whether and how I carry this out and about. Does it tend to stink? (See below.)

Although I will need to wait a bit to try it out, I'm already thinking how to clean it, make sure the pieces don't break in transit, and worrying about dropping it, etc. I've also taken your advice and have 4 Mollicels in my cart at Illumn (2 P30Bs at $7.49 each and 2 P28As at $5.99 a piece). I will be checking other sources. (EDIT - I found the P28A for only $3.99, but the P30B is out of stock, at IMRBatteries.com.)

Questions:

1. Where did you get your leather jacket? Is LabetKomp the go to?
2. What are folks using for travel and to protect the glass stems? I have a tobacco pouch, but it's a bit too large and I'm thinking a smaller hard case may be in order, especially to reduce smell. And do the "smell proof" cases work? (Note - I can't smell, so I can't tell if my gear stinks.) Ryot, Stashlogix Alma, other?

Hi! We have no release date yet set in stone, so I cannot comment on it. That being said I already tried it, and it works and looks great. We want everything to be perfect for the release, so we are not rushing this one yet!
