TinyMight / TM 2

This tinymight almost sounds to good to be true! Besides the small parts when cleaning anything else that could be a negative?

@Sensory Leaf mentioned the gap, which occurs on some devices and that irks some people. There have been reports by some that the temp dial comes loose, the maker offers a solution for it and I suppose newer devices will not have this issue. I personally find the o rings on the cooling unit the weakest spot as they are very tiny and can get lost – however, I'm still using the first couple it came with. The wood is only lightly waxed, so you might need to do that unless you like bone dry wood.

I have read reports by one user in another forum who claims that his (quote) „first unit actually flashed over on fire, shooting flames up the draw tube!“ (see respective thread at Vaporasylum), however, I mention this only because I have read it and it wouldn't be right to conceal it. I'm skeptical that this would even be possible at all. :-)

Beside that I have not seen any complaints about the actual performance.

I wonder if that is yet more misinformation being spread by the fc-banned user who has done his best to cause trouble for the tiny might’s inventor. On reddit he’s gone as far as trying to instigate legal interference from a large established vape manufacturer. I’m glad TM’s maker has stuck to the business of craftsmanship instead of getting involved in the chatter. Ignoring the noise is paying off in spades :)

I just couldn’t wait any longer to get on the list! Patiently waiting for order #349 and I just might pare down to only 2 vapes and a future backup TM. Cheers!

The case of the flames sounds like combustion and a user who has never experienced it on a convection vape. I’d take that one with a grain or two of salt. Otherwise, this is comprehensive IME.

Flames resulting from flower crossing the combustion threshold on a convection biased device such as the TM would require airflow. Whomever experienced this while holding the TM away from their face could not be inducing enough airflow to take combustion from smoke to flames shooting! While it’s bad enough we are hearing this second hand, I have trouble understanding this even occurred unless there was some accelerant such as alcohol involved.

There were some concerns that the airpath is not totally clean because it can bring some air from the electronics compartment, but the manufacturer said it should not be a problem:

The electronics sits on the metal plate at the bottom of the device. An small part of the electronics board is in the same air space than the airflow compartiment separated by a sheet of wood. The airflow is not completelly isolated since there are two holes in the sheet of wood, one for the coil connection and the other one to let the red led light pass thought the compartiment to the top of the glass stem.
I asked to the owner and he say that all parts and solder are according to specification following the RoHS directive and the air flow is not passing mainly through the electronics board and the hot air does not touch it. He also explained to me that the only harmful material when burned is the solder stop mask located in the battery contact spring but is on the other compartiment.

I have a sensitive throat. Does the long stem provide significantly cooler vapor than the short stem?

I swore I wouldn't buy another vaporizer. I shouldn't swear.

The long stem can hold two cooling units if you want extra cooling.

I've been using this thing with milaana 18 mil stem and Evo hydrotube for the last week. Quite nice, cool, vapor.

Flavor is best without water. I like the grav stem with tapered tip at level 4 for flavor. Very nice clouds with that setup and temp level too.

Unless there is a video, or photos, or actual proof besides some guy saying so, this never happened.

I've tried to combust with over packing fine ground, dry, herb and cant. The draw restriction get tight. You pull hard and get vapor. Worst that happens is uneven ABV.

Not really, for me they feel the almost the same (haven't tried two cu's in the long stem as suggested by @Brewervapesalot yet, though, bet that minimizes harshness to zero). The Tinymight vapor is smooth, but on the other hand it is a very quick extractor. So it can make you cough, but rather because of the amount and volume of substances, not because it's harsh or hot. You might have to go easy at first to learn to gauge the TMs hitpower. I recommend releasing the button ~4 secs prior to the end of a draw, especially for the first two draws. I have a sensitive throat too sometimes, but even then I find the TM totally manageable, you just have to respect its power a bit. Keeping the dial below 7 helps too.

Interesting device.
I have never heard about that before.

That really got my attention immediately..

So with this unit there are no first light hits and then ramps up? Usually with convection vapes the first hit is wispy, but ramps up after 2nd and 3rd hits. This rips from the first hit?

You get an 'instant on' heater with temperature monitoring (regulated). It still takes energy to vanquish the vape from the matter. But you could read this vape as a high power heater element that has very little standing in the way between your lungs and the heat. And by all accounts, it is an easy-breather. Waiting for KGW to get her stock and I'll be ordering. This really is becoming a no-brainer for the vape to have.

No ramp-up time, no wispy first hits, it gets straight to the point.

While in session mode true.

I was referring to the on-demand mode, as the heat up time is so short, but of course you are right, it's not that instant. :-)

Sounds pretty cool, what size heater is in it? Sounds a little like the grasshopper io coming soon. It looks like this year we are gonna see more of these high powered instant on type vapes. How does this thing work in session mode?

It feels very unnecessary to accuse anyone of misdeeds over this, if the guy was trying to cause trouble he wouldn't emphasize that he thinks it's a perfectly capable competent unit, and I don't think he and the TinyMight's creator would be facilitating replacements to his malfunctioning units if he was just trying to be a pain.

very good points. I didn’t mean to accuse someone that could be entirely unrelated to the other posts I was referring to. Let’s see if I can delete that post. You know what, actually I’ll leave it, along with my sincere apology. Past is past... I’m sorry for derailing and assuming the worst. Have a good night, everyone!

This really sounds like a beast of a portable. How's it compare to the Edge? Does the replaceable battery make that much of a difference in battery life/heat up time?

Also how the hell does the cooling unit work?

I heard the new TinyMights have stealth option to disable the led light but keeping the vibration. That's good, I will test it and report once i'll receive my TM. Maybe already this week.

they are so different style of devices that it doesn't make much sense to compare them.

Edge is a session vape, TM is on-demand (well, also a session vape...)
Replaceable battery is very nice, it's easy to carry a spare battery with you.

If you glean the cell requirement posts, it points to running near the 60-watt range. Not sure if anyone has done a measurement yet.

The specs say 70 watts, but I haven't measured that either.

I'm just about to ask this guy if he documented said behavior – owning the TM myself I am very skeptical it is even possible. I might be wrong, of course.

I'm not sure when this feature was / is implemented, though.
