@TV I am still not sure. Is it safe to use the rev with a fully charge persei (or whatever) at 8.4 volts?

im trying to decide on the LV Rev or the AVA LR...

are people still getting good results using the AVA LR with their concentrates?

thermovape-right now the ceramic is surrounded by a flat metal surface. If instead of flat, make it slope down into the ceramic, like a funnel. as it heats the oil will slide down into the ceramic. food for thought.

For those of you who haven't had success with your rev yet, give it a chance. Mine is functioning flawlessly,in fact in the begining my learning curve was more getting wayyyyyy too ripped, took me several sessions to get it down. I recommend hooking it up to some glass, the visual feedback really helped me to figure it out.

Got my omi carts, but my adapters are still in transit. Props to Delta9, they got me my carts QUICK. should have the adapter thurs.

I'd go for the one that is actually made for concentrates, I am not convinced that the AVA will have even close to the same lifespan as the Rev when used for oils. I could be wrong here, someone chime in with proper knowledge if so.

Still runnin' the AVA on 3.7v and it still rocks. No door, just the right amount of
heat. The extract seems to want to stay put instead of running up the walls away
from the heat. I am using Ethanol based and have no issues....

Top Loading Revolution in both LV and Standard models is coming soon.

We will definitely see what we can do to increases the funnel effect on the chamber... we do face some limitations from a machining standpoint but we will do our best. Please keep the feedback coming.

We are unique as a company as you can give us feedback, requests, criticism, and it is ver possible you will see that suggestion implemented in a matter of days, something other manufacturers just cannot achieve. One of the benefits of doing everything in house.

Cheers,

Can we exchange the old ones towards credit for the new ones. It doesn't hurt to ask.:brow:

I would think there would be legality issues like the zephyr ran into(the chipping of items with detectable traces of illegal substances on them in the mail - aka to bit brother if they wanna be dicks about it, drug trafficking!) if they did that. and i wouldn`t wanna see TV come to any harm!

i will also be using ethanol/EC or ISO based errl and find this interesting.

when you load in your product is it still a solid? do you start getting rips right away after some heat?

thanks

Then I will keep my old one and buy the new one with a loyalty discount.

thermovape-what about making a piece you could drop into the rev that both had the funnel into the ceramicand covered the window. that way you wouldnt have to change the maufacturing process of the rev itself and being able to load the funnel then drop it into the rev seems like a very easy way to load.

I've been brainstorming some kind of metal drip cartridge that the end heats up enough to allow the oil in the chamber to slowly drip down while in use...just have to work out the air path, and how big to make it so the drips are big enough, but not too big.

Just dropping a fitted piece into the already existing Rev would result in the same outcome, oil wicking between the walls and out the window, making a lint-magnet. IMO it would do nothing to fix the window issue.

I figure I'd post up my Revolution carry kit. It's a Maxpedition micro pocket organizer...[snip]
Your excellent post inspired me to buy one too, and I love it; thanks!

I don't use a Revolution (no way to get oil where I live, :(, and I don't want to start playing with butane in my apartment!), but I really love my ThermoVape T1, and I didn't have any way to carry it around that I liked. The micro and mini are really too small for the T1 and accessories, but the fatty is perfect.

Check out my message about the fatty in the ThermoVape thread if you're interested, and thanks again.

Another dumb question:

When you top-load the revolution are you just removing the black mouthpiece, or are you removing the top of the two metal pieces making up the revolution? Mine arrived in the mail today and I can't wait to make another ISO run so I have some testing supplies:science:

Okay, let me try and answer a few of these questions:

what voltage does the revolution need? errr.... how much voltage is too much?

For the ThermoVape Revolution - LV: 3.7V standard Li-ion, or LiMn batteries are fine. These can actually read ~4.2V but they are commonly referred to as 3.7V batteries. This is the standard nominal voltage for lithium ion rechargeable batteries. The Revolution - LV will fail if ran at higher voltage.

For the Original ThemoVape Revolution you can run this up to 7.4V, it is optimized to run at 6.0-6.4V. More then 7.4V is too much.

Can we exchange the old ones towards credit for the new ones. It doesn't hurt to ask.:brow:

I am sorry but that is not possible. Keep in mind we are a small American company. We keep more then 10 dedicated individuals employed full-time making all of our products. We are on the front line, American manufacturing, trying to prove that Americans can still build products in America. Our margin is Razor thin. What we can and will do is keep making products that you request, build them to the absolute best of our ability out of the highest grade American materials we can purchase, and then back those products with exceptional customer and product support. :)

This is certainly doable and we have played around with this idea. We will probably beta test something along those lines in the near future.

Yea I saw your setup in the other thread, I'm a bit envious of your battery capacity hehe. I thought awful hard about weather I should get a bigger version or not, but I really wanted something that would fit nicely in my pocket, and this one does just the trick. I'm glad my original post provided inspiration for your TV1 carry needs :).

To further inquire about the Orig. TVR running at 7.4v: I've been wondering for a short while if protected 18350 batteries, similar to the ones linked below, would fit in the ThermoVape body, as it seems their dimensions are very close to the RCR-123a's. Would there be any downside or negative impact in doing so, assuming they do fit? I wouldn't want to do anything to damage my TVR.

Also, I'd like to reiterate my view that simply making another piece to block the window probably wouldn't do much to stop the capillary action of the heated extracts flowing up between the walls to eventually exit the window area. I've been wrong before tho :D

Thanks Team ThermoVape for keeping so dedicated in responding here and providing stellar customer support in all regards.

the black mouth piece and the top metal pice that has the inner wall to the window as well! it`s too messy to try to drop it through the 2nd metal bit and not worth it!
