So yeah, this thing is f-ing great so far, the funky taste i had mentioned last night (see TV thread) was completely gone by the 15th or so hit, now it's as pure a taste as any concentrate delivery system that i have tried (ti nail, skillet, smokeless coal (yuck).....never tried an Omi to compare) the strawberry cough budder that i have been using in the Rev is really coming through now and i couldnt be more satisfied with the function of this thing, it can produce as big a cloud as you can take......and bigger if you are not careful :ko: my GF tried to hit it for as long as she would hit the TV (even after my warning) and she was coughing for a good 5 minutes lol.

does it work just as well with hash/kief? Looking like I need one of these.

I used it with both hash and kief, a few different kinds. It seemed to work well - and pump out continuous clouds, for longer than I could handle :)

I haven't yet tried a decent oil since it is hard to come around here, unless I make it myself. So I can't compare what the performance is to the oil clouds and videos that are out there.

So me Rev worked great yesterday and I cleaned last night as per video inst. Today i fired it up to see how clean it was and i heated it up and i smelled it heat up a few hours later I loaded it and it will not heat up at all. I switched batteries and still nothing added the herb attachment and it heated up fine. Watched all the rev videos and I can not figure this out. I took it apart put back together and nada please help looking bad in front of the wife spending 300 + and it does not work more than a day. Hoping I am doing something dumb. thanks

Hi. I had the same problem. ThermoVape told me to unscrew the the battery, and push up harder to make sure it makes contact. I got into a habit of doing it every time. I wish there was something I could do to avoid doing it each time. This is TV's response:

ThermoVape said:
Try taking the battery compartment off, and then pushing the switch up towards the revolution so that it is fully inserted, and then restart. The contact for the base of the revolution is slightly shorter than the ThermoVape Heater Core.

Cheers,

ThermoVape

In this case having the batteries positive side up may help some? I always have mine + side up and have never had to fool with it

just got mine, great shipping times, about to give it a go with

Durbin poison budder

OG amber oil

diesel bubble that melts about 70%

sativa bubble that melts about 85%

several different grades of dry sift bubble box screened melty melt

and a few not so great with more plant material so this thing will get a good trial with several different purities of concentrate

I had that problem a few times. So, what I do is:

Completely unscrew the batteries compartment from the Rev. Push up the slide so batteries stick out. Match up the round Rev Contact with the battery. Start screwing it on while still pushing up the batteries. By the time its screwed on it would have heated up and you can try. Remember to keep it pressed up while you screw it on.

SF Giant:
I am going to try and see if that helps. I have a feeling there might be some variation in some of these, but I do have this problem a lot.

Well it seems I have the privilege of having the first defective Rev . Talked to Nate on the phone minutes after posting my issue on FC and he is overnighting a replacement. Bummed because I had two different friends coming today to test and compare it to the Omicron but I could not ask for better customer service. I guess more testing of the T1 for now and bust out my globe for the bubble :peace:

I started with my best oil and got one nice big hit, and about 4 total

Then loaded again for about the same and cashed the batteries

Total time < 7mins

second set of batteries cached abit quicker taking bigger hits???

Could have used more batteries or better technique? will report back

Have it loaded with og amber oil now, about 5 drops, when batteries are charged i will go again

Interesting this thread should show up. I thought we had 'the word' from on high back at message 1238:

"It seems to me the revolution is an accessory, and as such we will leave it all in one thread for now. I get what you are saying, though, as I don't have any use for concentrates right now either, and I just skip most of those posts."

Perhaps I missed something? Or did the 'you really need two threads so it'll be easier for me' guys stuff the non existent ballot box?

some folks are concentrate exclusive so it prolly will help out a lot of folks to have this rev exclusive thread

While i was sassing the idea at first i have come around to the idea of 2 threads i suppose, it really isnt fair for the folks who either don't have access to concentrates or don't have interest in a portable herb vape to have to sift through useless (for them) posts, i would be fine with it all in one thread as i own both the TV1 and the Rev so all info is relevant to me and i can likewise try to help with all questions but i can see the other side of it too

Hey, I followed the idea. And gave my reasons for thinking it a bad idea. Yes, I know the MFLB was taken over for a while by the PA bunch who simply wouldn't shut up. It calmed down, and we still have a single thread.

No big deal to follow two threads, although there are a fair number of topics that cross the line anyway.

The big issue, to me, is we had a ruling on this. The decision isn't ours to make, we're guests. There is no voting involved. We proposed it, and were politely told 'we'll keep to one thread for now'. Like it or not, them's the rules guys. Old fashioned as that idea might be......

Sadly my revolution seems to have gotten lost or something by UPS :( they stop delivering by 7:00pm according to their site and i got ups 3 day with "guaranteed delivery by 1/20/2012"

weird thing is my tracking only has two scans on it, the label creation and then the origin scan in san francisco. I called UPS and the only thing the customer service guy could tell me is that it hasn't been scanned and will still be delivered. Said if it wasn't delivered by the end of the day I should contact the retailer. big help they are lol

sent Thermovape an e-mail so hopefully things get worked out soon!

I highly doubt it will be a problem, while the T1 can be converted to a Rev, the Rev is also sold as a stand alone vape (the sans delrin model) It's barely different from having different Omicron/persei threads honestly, anyways it's not for me or you to stress, if mods deem it unwanted POOF! threads merged, no real harm done, no need for the OF thread police to intervene ;)

I too think it's under control.

To be honest, I took offense to your last statement. After a bit of thought I guess you either didn't follow that a mod made a ruling which was ignored (or otherwise missed), or you don't consider that part important. Either is fine with me.....but no need for name calling is there?
