It's an 18650 hybrid IMR. I'm pretty sure they only come in 18650, which I use with my K100. Unsure how the kick would fit in there, it's a flat-top battery. Also no batteries will maintain a 3.7 constantly through use by themselves, which is what a kick does. I think it's 4.2 when fully charged like other batteries. Is the VTC5 imr batteries? Constant 3.7v? Does it come in a 18500 size? And where would you suggest I get an authentic one from?
At least with the kamry 18650 battery the included kicker barely fit in there. A real tight squeeze.
Still wanting a stealth portable for flowers but it would be irresponsible of me to pull the plug on a Cera at this particular time.
Thanks for the tip -- I already tend toward small and often, for conservation/efficiency.Just remember 'load small and often' is the rule. Overload it and it gets slower to make vapor and the taste gets 'muddy'.
Well, I do enjoy vaping bud in my lotus and UD, just wanting something that I can use discreetly, and that friends can work, and the EVO doesn't cut it performance-wise. You are probably right about not delaying. I am also curious about what the grasshopper guys will turn out, and don't want to blow my (lack of) wad on both. That doesn't make much sense, but you get my meaning. ThanksI think you should rethink that delaying the Cera idea. The sooner you get one, the sooner you can start really enjoying vaping bud. You're not getting any younger, you know.......
Both switches will fire up the T1 as well as the Evo although I get almost zero vapor out of either even though they are hot as hell. I must be doing something wrong here.
Anyway I thought the Rev could handle the nastiest bubble hash, I don't see how it could be my shatter?
I do have a VV battery, what voltage would I have to run them at?
Is it possible you are running 3.7volt devices at 6 volt?Foil test, refer to first paragraph of last post.
I'm beginning to think I must have somehow burnt them both out, which everyone thinks is impossible. Is this something that may still be repairable if sent in?
To clarify, the T1 and Evo get hot as hell with no vapor, the Rev and Dart won't even light.Sorry to hear you're having troubles, but I think your troubleshooting skills are 'firing on all 4'. The chances of a working Revolution and a working DART packing in together like that is about zero.
One thing sure getting "hot as hell" is about all you can ask of the system. Once hot enough the question comes up 'why no vapor?'. It should not matter how you got hot, heat is heat.
My first thought goes to the concentrate? How does it do in a Foil Test?

The dart is LR and the Rev is LV. Powered by the 2 smaller batteries. I'm only using what the guy sold me so I have no idea.Is it possible you are running 3.7volt devices at 6 volt?
That would do exactly as you described. Nice and bright for a short time. Then dead.
Thats the problem. Seems you got LV (low voltage) 3.7 volt units. The T1 and many EVOs are 6 volt. No LV T1's were made. Some custom only. The 2 small batteries are 3 volt each so 6 volt handle. The dart is LR and the Rev is LV. Powered by the 2 smaller batteries. I'm only using what the guy sold me so I have no idea.
Dammit. I had a feeling. So you think they're dead?Thats the problem. Seems you got LV (low voltage) 3.7 volt units. The T1 and many EVOs are 6 volt. No LV T1's were made. Some custom only. The 2 small batteries are 3 volt each so 6 volt handle.
Was it the same guy that sold you the whole kit?
If not you may be SOL.
Good luck. Such a waste.

Rev And Dart dont heat at all. I wonder if the Evo I was sold is the wrong voltage as well. Nice to know they Rev and dart can be rebuilt but sucks I have to shell out more money and wait 2 weeks for them to be repaired. Not happy with my classifieds experience so far. Same thing happened when I bought my Cera, had a bad switch, had to send it in, eventually, a month after I bought it I was finally able to use it.Sorry, I misread you. Lighting is no indication of anything except the cart is brand new and getting hot. Some concentrates cloud the ceramic enough to block the light in a few hits. Heat is the indicator.
Bingo!
Not a big loss really. I bet that a hit or two was kind of strong??? I have no doubt light got through at that level, you were running them about four times the rated power.......
If you bought them new from TV, they'll rewind it for you (be sure to tell them if you want to continue using SV (two batteries) as LV (or LR some guys say) is the more common. And, if you don't tell them otherwise, they'll rebuild it 'the wrong way'.
If you bought them used from an independent party, contact TV. Rebuilds are $15. New heater and ceramic as necessary.
Hang in there, this can be solved.

So now my dilemma is, am I better having them rewound for 6v or keep them at LV and buy the big batteries?Look on the button on the bottom for "LV", the standard ones aren't marked. They take two batteries like T1.
Understood it's a bummer you have a delay and cost, but to be blunt it really was your fault? And being able to recover completely and save a cherished model like Revolution/DART (long out of production) at all with factory support is way cool. What do you suppose GM charges to rebuild a '67 Stingray? Way more than new cost for sure. Most makers, I think, would cop a 'that's an old model we no longer support, how about a discount on our new model?'. I'm hard pressed to think of any commercial concern that supports rebuilds of obsolete products at what must surely be a money loosing rate for them. There's a LOT of labor involved in rebuilds......I've watched.
I agree, also, classifieds can be a way to buy someone else's troubles. A true 'buyer be ware' deal. Vapists, we'd like to think, are better citizens than average, but that only goes so far. No matter how careful, you're sure to buy a lemon sooner or later. Part of the trade off with the typically reduced price. "A great deal" sometimes has such a risk to counter that.
Here, I think, is slightly different. You bought two of what is an increasingly rare and in demand product. Used is the only way you're ever going to buy one any more. There are no doubt a few unsued ones around (I have a secret emergency DART stashed, one of the $40/ea lot they sold at the end (part of 50 piece order that got cancelled)) but I can assure you they will be anything but cheap. I think you most likely still 'lucked out' at what you paid plus $15 plus a delay........lots of guys would, I'm sure, happily swap positions with you?
Best wishes, you know you're going to love it when it's working.

So to update I got both carts rebuilt. I kept them at original specs cause I planned on using them on 3.7volt anyway. Dart worked good for a gram or so, ISO soak didn't help much, maybe a boil will do better.
Problem with the Rev is it gets red but there is almost no heat it seems, doesn't even melt anything let alone vaporize it. I even tried at 4.2 and that didn't make much difference either. Am I doing something wrong?
Rev and dart are the same specs I believe so they should perform the same... It could be your battery is dying like @hoptimum mentioned... Or your cart could be out of spec (not likely if it was just rebuilt)So to update I got both carts rebuilt. I kept them at original specs cause I planned on using them on 3.7volt anyway. If you are seeing red, it must be heating but not primed correctly. Once the concentrate gets to the coil you will not see red anymore but vapor. You need more concentrate to melt in?Problem with the Rev is it gets red but there is almost no heat it seems, doesn't even melt anything let alone vaporize it.
