Who here would want the dart to come back?

If it were to happen soon, I could clear a good chunk of my Christmas list, but I really doubt i would/could happen - TV/TET doesn't possess the tools to make new bodies anymore (IIRC it was leased equipment that is now gone).Me to!!! LV with an Ultralite please.

Id be more interested in an Ultra or Revolution body with a top to fit Cera...but if the dart surfaced back up, could I pass on the opportunity? Probably not...Who here would want the dart to come back?

Who here would want the dart to come back?
He doesnt work for TV anymore, so Im assuming if the dart did come back it would be with. His new company DTS...same could happen with an adapter too. And who knows maybe even a latching switch??!?!How about the Cera thread adapter you told us would be coming some day?? Or was that BS?
Right here!! I would .Who here would want the dart to come back?

I don't think TET is going to bring back the DART unfortunately...

Sorry to hear about your broken Dart. Just to clarify for me, this had nothing to do with your new cleaning technique posted a page back, did it?Man is this "white ceramic wafer" fragile!
I had been so used to Messing with the Messy Black Gunked (Boy, do I dislike that word) up ceramic, my cleaned ceramic was VERY fragile and I accidentally center punched the poor bastard.
Which led me to the Glorious heating element in the DART.
Immediately, I thought of the dabbler and ran off to get some water boiling to wash out the ceramic "dust" that might have accumulated due to a broken ceramic wafer. Baked for 20 minutes. Loaded her up with BHO and got THICK vapor. but only 3 big hits. then it tapered off. I'd say around .13 or so was loaded.
Tried another load, at .17 and 4 big hits. (Taste was off)
I decided it was worth ONE more test. This time, the quality test, as the efficiency was there. Medicated FULLY. I originally thought maybe the heating element burns so hot the taste is just off because of so much heat. I loaded .23 of High grade Co2 Wax and achieved 5 coughing Hits (could've been more but I'll explain)
Now I for sure know the taste of this wax, My new dart core has seen .5 of it. It was NOT the taste I know. So if you don't mind losing some flavor, I'd say try it if your dart is already broken like mine.
In no way am I saying Break your dart.
Those 3 test dabs would've gotten me around 17 hits total if the core was still intact. So yes I did lose some hits in there but now we know the results. All in the name of Science.
Actually this is a known thing. The switch floats in the adapter body to allow different lengths of carts to function. If you go from a longer one to a shorter one you need to reset the switch. Going to a longer one just moves it back then the former cart has troubles.
Take the adapter piece off the battery and cart off of it. Then pull the switch out the back, grab the spring loaded button with your nails and pull it back or poke it out from the cart side with a matchstick or
something. Then pry the ring that holds it out. Then put the ring back in, seating it all the way down, either pushing it with a stick or (what I do) invert the switch temporally and use the wide end to do it. Nest seat the switch as far in as it will go in the normal direction. Now screw the cart back on, it will push the switch out against the ring as it screws home. Then put the lot back on the battery tube and you're good to go. From then on (until you change size again) the ring will shift enough to take care of heating and cooling and other such issues.

I thought I understood this method when I first read it, but I used to take the switch out and place the o-ring all the way down on the switch then put it in, and screw the cart back on. Not the way. This helped me realize the function and I don't have a switch problem now. Thank you OF and Thank you vapehead.com for resurfacing this to my attentionThanks OF, that explains why I keep having trouble between AVA and DART switches. I hadn't read thie full procedure before, I thought you could just take the switch out and re-insert!

So why did you bother asking if FC would like to see the Dart brought back? Obviously this thread has had many people yelling for the "Return of the Dart" for awhile. I feel that you just asking that question implies something behind it. I see you from time to time on here so I have to assume you have a rough "feel" for how the group feels about this product, why the tease in asking that question? Are you implying that "you" may be bringing the Dart back, if so, spill the beans man!!I don't think TET is going to bring back the DART unfortunately...

Yeah, that core was taught a lesson. Or was I taught a lesson!? hahaJust did a cleaning on a LR ava and dart cores. I followed VapoRoors instructions(I substituted a gentle scraping of the core in lieu of the core raping that VapoRoor opted for). Drying it off in the toaster oven for 20 min@ 225 degrees. Hopefully they come clean, taste was rather stale prior. **** After cleaning, neither one fires up. YAY! Back to TET they go again. My AVA was returned last time, looking and working the same as I sent it in. Hopefully the 2nd time will be right.****
