Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

OK, that's all you got? Cheap insults, noting by way of relevant thoughts?

OK, I've got a thought then, this conversation, such as it is, is obviously over. As you suggest those following can decide for themselves what's wheat and what's chaff?

No, under the ground rules offense is in the perspective of the offended. It's insulting, you intended it that way, I understand it that way. I just don't put a lot of stock in it, but you probably expected that?

I can live with it though, because I see it differently than you I guess....

Thanks everyone for your input.. I am really leaning towards the Evo LV "Stock" mainly because it is so small and looks like it could be so stealth when need be.. And the 30% better battery thing.. But still really confused with all the options TV offers..

Any FC discount codes for TV?

Thanks!

You can use coupon code FC10%OFF :D

Just a random thought.....what do you suppose the chances are TV will have an attractive discount Fourth of July? It would sure fit in with past history, wouldn't it? Be a bummer to hold off for nothing, but it's a couple of weeks off.....

I hope I haven't just blown it somehow. It's not like I expect a sale, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit.

I would agree that it's a pretty safe bet there will probably be a 4th of july sale

Just a foot note as I have no LV stuff. If you have any intentions of a T1 down the road you might what the 6 volt unit. Appearantly heat up time is faster as well.
Might want to hold off to see of OF is correct about a sale. (he usually is).

I have all 3, and like Pipes said, if you even think you might go for the T1 later, get the 6v Evo so you can use the same battery/charger set up. The Evo LV works great, but does have a slower heat up time. I have been using my T1 more lately... it just gets right to the point for me, but does require a bit more fidgeting, stirring the bowl about half way through the sesh, and then swapping batteries with each spent load, but I also do that with the Evo now too, to put less wear on my batteries between charges. I'm sure there will be other opinions about this, it's a tough call since each has its own perks and personality.

just joined the thermovape club today! Ordered the evo 6v. I read that this only gets a around 15 hits but much earlier in this thread it was said that you could get 50+ hits from the LV...sorry just started getting into the vape world other than my Dragon Lite Box so anyone with both of them have an opinion on how different the battery lives really are from each other?

I was afraid this might come up about now..... How about 'the last one I used'? They're all great in their own different ways. I think T1 is the most flexible, even though it doesn't do bubble hash..... It is I think easier to control in subtle ways, it's the best way to sample new strains. I don't find the batteries to be an issue, in any of the cases really, since they all do a bowl per charge at least. The rest is logistics IMO.

Evolution is more tool like and works in a more narrow range. The 'fun to mess with' part of T1 yields to not having to stir. And it will do bubble. It's also a bit longer. And comes in two voltages.

The real question is what's best for you though, isn't it? It can, I think, be reduced to a couple of decision points. First off is the mess with it or take it out and rip aspect. I think, if I read you right, this eliminates T1. Now we're down to voltages. While I like the SV for faster heating, I think most guys would rather have a few more hits and a single larger battery. So, unless you already own some SV gear, I recommend the LV Evolution to you for the best fit for a vape you can fill, pull out of your pocket and hit a few times then put back in the pocket for later.

Since I'm not looking for that use, I'd cling to the T1 I think personally. Again, hard to go too far wrong with any of them.

Welcome to the club. There was some misinformation when the LV was released and the quoted 50+ hits was not correct. The total is around 25 hits. I personally like the quicker warm up and hopefully you find the 6v to suit your needs.

Great Scott!
So I ruined parts of my TV today. The bowl itself and the white thing under it, possibly even the "housing" the bowl screws into. All my fault I guess. I had trouble with it screwing in way more than it was supposed to while it was hot. I tried to undo it with pliers and the bowl chipped apart. Definitely out the bowl and there is gross residue on that white part under the bowl which I squished as well. Awesome right? And I'm not sure if that sleeve that the bowl houses is even any good anymore, or if that is an expensive part.

I really did a number to this thing I guess. Pretty upsetting stuff.

Any suggestions on what to try for a new setup with it? I mean I only have the base at this point as in the battery and switch and the delrin and moutpiece tops are fine. Really bummed out. If the 18650 was out I'd consider this a sign to upgrade, but as it is now I need to replace this and I get the feeling its not the best time to be doing so. I don't know if I should get a 6v evo now? I finally saw one in person but didn't get to try it on my T1 base.

Thoughts? I definitely want to have a portable, but I really want some higher battery capacity. I want at least 2 bowls pet set if possible. Or is there any known working 18650 ecig bases that I can use safely right now? Tough to be without this thing at this point, so I guess it has earned its place for sure.

I'm sure killing it while trying to fix it isn't covered. I'll take pics in a bit I used my underdog and new bubbler just now and would rather just wait and think this through without rushing.

But assuming I have just the base I might as well try the 6V evo right? I gotta strip this whole thing down and see where its at but at least the bowl is fucked in a way that I won't use it. Plus my nasty ass pliers had some grease on them that I didn't notice. NOPE.

Damn it but what can you do. I'm trying to own up to it and just figure out the best way to go forward with their products. I could almost swear I remember hearing someone was able to use an 18650 with one of the evos? Did anything happen of that?

For $85 you could go with the 6v EVO everything you need

http://thermovape.com/collections/all/products/thermovape-evolution-conversion-kit

If it's just the bowl that is damaged that is $55 here

http://thermovape.com/collections/botanical-convection-vaporizers-parts/products/v1-core-bowl

If the housing where the bowl screws into is messed up also then that could get pricey as I don't see just the house on the web site so you would have to e-mail TV and request it.

You broke the T1 not the evo right?

I use an evo with the persei using an 18650, works fine and can get 4-5 bowls if I drain the battery

Thanks for the info!

$55 for just the bowl seems brutal since I'm not sure if I need the housing or not quite yet. The 6V evo is much more attractive to me for $85 I think but I'm not sure. I definitely didn't budget for this at all though.

Yeah I broke the T1 bowl and possibly even the housing. Which persei is it? I was looking at their setup coming out for herbs too. I'm keeping my T1 and will eventually repair it but I'm anxious to use a battery that can get 4-5 bowl asap. Do you mind PMing me more about your setup? I don't think it is too appropriate here, but then again it does use the evo right? Is that the LV or the 6v for the 18650 persei?

EDIT: Did some research on my own. 18650 in the $200 persei kit right? With the 3.7 LV evo? What exactly would I need to make them work together, or just the $200 kit and the evo here...

No adapters or anything else I need to know?

Should be ok if people talk about using the evo on ecig mods:

LV Evo + Black Persei + 18650 = 4-5 bowls

I like max performance so I charge after 2-3 bowls but I measure the battery to still have 50-60% left. Also if you go that route you want the persei brand adapter, TV's adapter was loose for me and messed up the threads on a top.

Yeah, I did that a couple of times as well. However, while doing it the last time it packed in. The light came on when the battery was put in, it had to go in for service. I doubt that's what killed it, but until I'm sure I can't recommend the practice. The latest word from THC says it's OK (it actually just under 5 amps), but.....

And another point, performance was still sub standard relative to the TV units since the Persei had a bigger drop (not as severe as V2 as I recall). I'm hoping the VV upgrade will fix this issue.

But yes, Persei did drive my LV Evolution a few times nearly as well as the TV unit......until it blew up.

OTOH, if I'm following the destruction correctly, you could pull what's left of the bowl/heat core out and screw an Evolution into the T1 adapter base, right? Only the part above the switch is wrecked?

How is it even possible for someone to do something like this

As a guess, you've never worked a Service Desk? Or done Field Circus? There's well over 10,000 TV vapes out there, at this point anything is possible. Anything.
