Again reminds me of discussions we were all having a year ago about the T1, and how you could pop out the puck and flip it over and put it back (or just crumble it and put it back).
Are we talking the same T1 here boss? Mine has a cone shaped bowl, no way you can turn it over and put it in the other way up???
Question for those who have the TET supplied tenergy charger. My 2900's have been charging for a few hours now, the lights on the charger were still red but if i rotate the battery while its still in the charger will go green, then i rotate back and it will turn red again, is their any specific way the batteries should be put in? Should the label on the battery be facing up or does it not matter?
I'm not sure what exactly to say here, there are several points I think? First off, a few hours for an initial charge I don't see as a problem, even if they're in normal service charge times over 3 hours can easily happen since it's a one Amp (maximum) charger and nearly 3 Ah battery (charging current isn't maximum the full time). That part seems normal.
Rotating the battery in the slot can cause it to loose contact (seems to be more common on flat tops, button tops are pretty solid). However, while that does shift the red to green (when the battery charge current drops to a very low value, like zero, since it's not connected any more.....). However that's only for a second or two, then
it should go out. It should not show a solid green with a battery that's not properly charged in the slot???
FWIW my usual routine is to put the battery in, fiddle with it until it comes up red then let it sit that way until I get a solid green. Like I said, flat tops can take a little fiddling. Also I have some protected versions of the high current NCR 18650s (2900s ) TV is using the unprotected version of. The protection board makes the total package over long, it won't fit in that charger's slots so I have to angle the positive end up a bit. Looks funny, but it works.
No, there is no up or down, put the label any way you want.
