Discontinued Thermovape Cera

Gotting the feeling they have to make/assemble the next "5" ceras just like the previous ones, like some kind of slow slow process..not trying to be negative. Just thinking out loud.

I'd expect spot shortages as production gets going. Remember the process, their suppliers are producing their first batches of the various parts. We know there are more of some of the ceramic parts than others for instance, no doubt yield related delays, remember the ceramic goes through several steps before a week long final firing. Rejects (size, color, finish, flaws, etc) after that need to be remade from scratch. They (the vendors) need to refine their process too so they deliver good parts on schedule so TV can do the same; both the strength and bane of so called 'just in time manufacturing'.

And Tim said they only got five sets of some of the Ti parts in (all 100 pieces of others) so Ti production will have to wait a while for number 6. When the bugs are sorted out TV should have more than enough to cover all the outstanding Ti orders and have some for stock....assuming the common ceramic parts co-operate of course.

The other day five turned into 15 over the weekend. Given the parts on schedule I suspect they can produce them at a fast enough clip to eat through the back orders pretty quickly. But when they get partial shipments from vendors they're pretty much stuck until parts get here.

Despite some opinions to the contrary they seem to be making some credible progress, I suggest some faith they'll keep doing that to the limits of their abilities?

So still a delay on the TI? Not sure what you're saying here. They only got 5/6 parts? They only got enough for 5 units?

Yes, they got 100 of some/most of the parts, but only enough of one of them to complete the first five. The remainder of the run of 100 sets is due in in the next few weeks, or so I understand. I believe the 'first article' inspections (extra rigorous with each new part/supplier) have been passed, the parts are all good they just need more of them. Those 5 units should be shipping out this week.

As I said, unit number 6 will be delayed a while after number 5 for that reason.

Can't wait to hear reviews from new Cera owners. Trying decide between it and the Inhalater XP for my go to portable.

Considering the fact that the cera has multiple uses(flower, oil, and e-juice) and superior durability, I'd say to go with it.

Hello all - first post here but have been lurking for a while now. I'm looking for my first vaporizer... something versatile that will last and not be outdated within a month of buying it. Really i'm just looking for the best out there...

First off, thanks to everyone who has posted here and especially OF -- I just read through this entire thread and you've already answered tons of questions I had. Very clear and thorough... TV should be paying you.

I'll admit i haven't read a lot of other brand-specific handheld threads... it seems like everyone in those threads already owns the device and is going to be biased towards it. From reading through this thread though, it seems like TV has a great reputation & history, and is made here in the USA.

Ill just start with a few questions... i know this post is all over the place so thanks for being patient:

1) It sounds like the EO Cera is what i'd be most interested in buying (~$250). But if i also wanted the ability to use a LL cartridge, would i need to purchase a completely separate unit (~$250)? Or could i simply swap the core / body or something?

Edit: I just clicked "Buy it" on the TV website and I see now that there is a $99 Loose Leaf cartridge available. I'm still confused though -- I thought that the output of the "Core" was different with the LL Cera. Would using this cartridge with the EO Cera be different than if i just got the LL Cera?

2) Is there a functional difference between the titanium and stainless steel Cera? Or is it just appearance?

3) How would this stack up against the best desktop vaporizers out there? Also, what are the consensus best? I know this might not be the right place for the question but I'm not necessarily committed to a handheld and have heard great things about 7th Floor here in CO (Silver Surfer and Da Buddah). I know its all subjective, but just looking for a few opinions as most people here seem pretty savvy.

4) A few of my friends use the Atmos Raw. Any quick thoughts on that device would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

1. you would only have to buy the cart for 100, itll fit your cera
2. no functional difference, maybe just shinier and titanium is better for coastal/outdoor users, less corrosion or some shit
3. ---
4. atmos raw is absolute JUNK

1) Been covered quite a bit already, but in a nutshell you buy the body with one core for $250 and then add on the other cores, not an additional body. Cores vary from $99 to $199 steel vs ti.

2) Lighter and more corrosion resistant.

3)None of us have had a chance to try it out yet to be able to really answer this question (except for OF). But I will say that desktops are great for really big hits, and large groups of people. So unless you vape exclusively on your own and/or don't care about fat herb hits, you will probably still enjoy a desktop in your arsenal. The Cera oil cart really does look like it puts out tons of vapour, but the LL still appears more suitable for one person from what I can see.

4)They are junk. But you should head over to that devices thread for more info.

OF you are wise for your years. Per your recommendation I am placing my order. Keep on fightin the fight and one day we will all prosper- 7upstar

1. The Cera vaporizer accepts carts. Each cart his its own power inside. So you only need 1 body and 3 carts if you want the complete kit.

2. The SS and Ti will perform the same while in use. It is recommended if you want to use a blow torch to clean over and over it is best to stick with Ti.

3. The best is subjective. The Cera is convection and some of the best desktop vaporizers are convection (SSV, DBV). You mentioned you want something that isn't outdated and is good. The direction TV went is with a portable vaporizer that is analog. It has no chips, settings, dials, lights. It is made with high quality parts that can be easily cleaned and are durable. The Cera is going to be dropped, slammed, going from outside in -20F to 80F in seconds and turned on right away (or even used in -20F weather). I want it to be spent in service, not in warranty. The heat cores (cartridges) come with a year warranty so use it a lot and send it in if you manage to get it to stop producing heat. After a year send it in to get fixed up for $10 + shipping.

Hey I'm new, and I was just wondering if your the Mark from Innovapor, and if not then why would Thermovape choose to give him the cold shoulder, and not get him a Cera first and formost since their supposed to be partners along with the rest of us e-cig customers trying to quit smoking. Seems like an unrelyable thing to do since we e-cig peeps funded an apparent, Huge betrayal. Are pot smokers dependable? Is Thermovape dependable, and will the Cera ever be dependable? Hmmmm these dots are like something out of 1st grade. Yea I used to smoke a few, but I dont anymore cause I like my neurons...IMO.

Many users on this forum use cannabis for legitimate medical reasons not just to get high. Slagging off on mmj patients as just a bunch of dumb potheads is not a good way to make friends around here bud.

whoomp whoomp:\ its about that time isnt it? To hear the absurd..I work at a nursing home.I deal with alzheimers and dementia...In the late evening they like to act up...We call it sun downers...same thing right?

Id like to make the Cera my next portable..Ive had the mflb and really enjoyed it.But its not stealthy if people around you can smell you vape, because your resin soaked box wont come clean..Whats attracting me to this portable is the lack of moving parts and how easy it is to clean. Plus it looks pretty snazzy. I like simple things, theres an unmistakeable charm to them..
But I can see myself waiting this thing out. Because I cant see myself mailing my unit back to the company so they can update a safety pin and switch...not at that pricepoint. So theres mine and Im sure manys dilemma. Life has its trade offs....but for now Ill just hurry up and wait!

Don’t attack products or companies. You can post your opinion, and you can criticize, but posts written to offend are not allowed.
Why hasn't Innovapor gotten any e-cig Ceras? Why has Thermovape snubbed us e-cig customers for pot smokers? Are pot smokers more dependable? Will Thermovape be dependable? Will the Cera be dependable? Shouldn't we get two cartridges since one has already failed a customer out of ten or so shipped? After the heater core fails (after a year hopefully) shouldn't we have a spare cartridge to buffer Thermovape's manditory repairs? How can your grassroots customer vape through their first repair session without a backup? Quitting smoking by taking up your newfound catering for pot & a piece of wax fallin on a termite, who's chokin on the splinters, wasn't what I had in mind. The e-cig community are the loser's baby so why don't you kill us? Oh, you already have. For you cannot serve two masters, for you will love the one and hate the other. A house divided shall not stand.

Relax, they're having trouble putting their orders together for their LL and EO units.

And it's a far stretch to ask for another cart, don't you think? My xbox controller failed one time and I'm not asking them to send me two... shit happens. Cera, as awesome as it may be, is no exception.

Give them a second to actually have their production in full swing and you'll see they'll deliver.

I believe TET has replaced their ecig line entirely with the new cera ecig juice core and cera unit... yeah i guess its that good? We will have to see. And knowing what kind of customer service TET strives for, I would not be shocked if in a year from now, with no replacement on hand, and needing a rebuild, you dare ask for them to send you a temp of some sort while yours is sent in for rebuild, they would not hesitate. And if in a year from now, you need a rebuild... couldn't you go back to a 3 dollar atty for a week or so while your $100 dollar core gets professionally rebuilt?? By the way, I couldn't even read your post after getting to 2/3rds of the way down. Believe me I tried a few times, but gave up every time...partly because im vaked... but thats definitely not the type of input that is wanted around here, especially cluttering up a second attempt at a reliable thread.

Do like me ! I'm waiting for the XP... and I will buy the Cera (but maybe ! After much more owners reviews)
For now, the advantage of the XP is that we already know it, with the INH004...

For example, for the FlashVAPE, I don't regret having trusted the opinion of Pakalolo (and others) ...... like I can trust OF for the Cera, but it is not the opinion of OF that I lack confidence, but in all the changes made by TET, and now customers don't even know what they will receive exactly

Ok here goes...
Imagine the supprize I felt when I got home from work, (knowing that according to the tracking info my Cera was still sitting in customs) and my wife starts filming me for no reason, (wrong) then hands me a box from behind her back...
Yep it was Cera alright and my first impressions you ask?

Wow!!!!

I have only tryed the CEO in her yet because I thought I wouldn't see her for a few more days so haven't gone and got any buds yet, but you don't need to know about my poor life choices.
First up I will be refering to Cera as her quite a bit I just can't bring myself to call her it... any way she seemed smaler than I had imagined and quite heavy, but heavy in a good solid durable rock like way, and after fiddling with every thing a few times and topping up the batteries decided it was time to get the oil out, and oh man oh man do I like it. I had a little trouble getting it primed but am sure that its because my wax was quite cold and hard but it eventually got warm enough and it stated soaking in (about 2/3 minuets) at that point I couldn't get a hit off it so I chucked a bit more wax in thinking it might help, and it shure did.
I remembered that Tim had said he blows on it sometimes so I tryed that, I gave a little puff into the mouth piece and found it restriced so blew a little harder and this time it blew through and some vapour puffed out of the little holes, at that point I stoped blowing and gave a nice little honk on that beautiful device and was blown away, she is amazing loads of nice tasty vapour and smooth too hardly any irritation at all.
Any way after roughly 20/25 minuets of on and off work later I really couldn't fit any more in but Cera was still going strong she was getting warm but not uncomfortable (if you took the cap off you could touch the cart but you probably wouldn't want to hold it) but everything else just warm. The best part was when I pulled the battery out it was still remakably cool as if the ceramic holds the temparature away/around the bat without transfering to it.
As far as cool down she was back to cool in the same 20/25 mins

Well thats enough for now I have to go test some more, I have some more photographic proof they do exsist in the wild, and the natty little case I have for her as well  but I can't be f@cked working that out right now so that will all have to wait.

Very glad for you man :)..... I think you're the first customer to do a report ....... now waiting for your report with the LL cart. (much more interesting for me ;))

I haven't seen that in TV Cera website :

Is the Cera still made in the USA?
The majority of the Cera is still made in the USA with US sourced materials. The ceramic is produced by an American manufacturer. Our new switch is also manufactured by an American company but has some of it's smaller parts manufactured in France.

So the Cera is not 100% US made..... is France/USA made :D
