Quick question on the PP stem? Does it incorporate some type of condenser and intercooler or does it just have a metal lining with the fins?

Sh** thought pp‘s wood bobbin will fit also on the tempest stem…
I thought that likely too, enough to invest in one (not exactly pricey, so worth chancing, may be hjandy to have for later if I go back to revolve's metal sleeve!), but turned out it would need a little bit of a thin rasp or something to just widen that hole a little bit, not much.

That Inductor seems bloody powerful! If I had to guess I'd say it's at least about 250 watts. Do you know the actual power?
They look really nice for the job, but sadly beyond my budget, but interested as to the sort of power that takes only 30 secs to get to temperature.

Height = 30mm
Diameter at bowl = 14mm
Diameter of heat matrix = 13mm

Edit: Height does not include the bowl.
thanks for the answer!
I might be asking too much but I'd like to also have the bowl measurements, since its the part that mate to the stem and I'd like to add some matching fins.

edit: thanks for the extended measures, only measurement I'm missing that it'd be interested in is the fins width, but thanks again for the kind favor i have plenty to work with now.

Sorry, nothing to measure with to hand, but the fins are really more slots cut into the outer lower part of bowl assembly, I think they are as wide as the bowl.
The fitting into the stem is a 'standard' 8mm fitting, should be the same as any DV compatible item I believe.

Been using a TA3 with a wooden Tempest stem configured with open airflow. I love the simplicity of the head, fewer parts than a Tempest, and the design feels more industrial.

The cooling stand is effective, I did think it would have more weight, I'm considering gluing one to the bottom. I use a leather strap to unscrew the two halves of the head.

I'm still trying to figure out the best configuration for the wand. Like other commentors, I have found using the same settings as the Tempest disappointing. My current configuration is similar to that for my Dani Fusion 2.0, 400C, but wilth the Tempest insert, and I try to get the majority of the heat focused on the battery.

I made the mistake of trying the dynavap insert, it swabbed black inside the cup after using, I'm retiring that to the trash. Glass cups all the way.

Er, hate to say it, but that 'Wand insert' is for unscrewing the heater when hot! It's not an adapter! PP came on to dispel that misconception!

I'm finding I'm giving it a to-the-timeout run on the wand, then finishing it off with a torch (only using a small pocket jet lighter). I'm using the Tempest insert, and making sure, inserting from the front (display) side, that the widening (on TA3) where the bowl starts, never goes past the start of the glass and into the coil, and seems ok so far. Just that the Wand ain't got the juice to be suitable. I think it'll work, but always be a bit of a pain, while the Tempest only needs 30 to 45 seconds.

Spent 3 full days with the updated TA2 now and will give some honest feedback. Probably had over 25 bowls through it now. It was a heavily medicated 3 days I must say.

If you have the tempest, there's 0 need for this, unless you're like me and want to support the OG behind the concept. If you don't have the tempest, the TA will give you a very similar signature, minus the refinement

TA still feels like a proof of concept and a garage project, though a thoroughly thought out garage project. The adjustable bowl idea is fine, but not great. There's not enough friction in the holding ring to confidently support debowling pressure. The screen for the bowl also does not perfectly fit the bowl, and triggers my OCD. Also, only 1 screen came with the TA, which feels stingy since it's relatively flimsy.

The screen holding the balls in place is fine, but does not instill confidence. A screwing mechanism, taking advantage of the threads is recommended. The easiload head would be a good solve for this issue

Airflow and airflow adjustment is great and works very well. Wide open airflow when fully open and great for MTL when closed.

Heat transfer to the stem is insane and will make any metal stem without a shield too hot to the touch. Highly recommend a glass or wood stem.

The heat sink is amazing at sucking away heat, but becomes too hot to handle as a decapper.

Performance is great of course. LOTS of heat calories to cook through whatever you throw at it. I've done hash, full melt, TWAX, flower...you name it, and passes with flying colors.

A really fun vape to have, and one for the collection, but won't be a daily.

Can't say I agree with that (though the support bit - 100%!), but then it's a personal thing, I find they behave quite differently, and while it's a luxury having both, I have no intention of putting either one in the dreaded 'drawer of vape-death'! Also finding lots of different ways to play which change the behaviour too, but this is taking longer to refine, focus is first on getting the desired effect, only then trying other ways (at least for me).

Could it be that if you have OCD, that's exacerbated the perception of the problem for you? I don't suffer OCD, but I do know what some conditions can do to perceptions and how hard that is to appreciate in one's self. No joke at all, and I'm not dissing you or anything (sympathetic if anything).

As for the stingy side, I can see how that could be seen, but I think (and this is just my impression, nowt more) that PP has worked to keep these at the lowest cost he can, and he provides spares at a very decent price, cheaper than many other companies, and the spares come with a goodly bunch, not just two or three. He's working in a very different way to an established larger company with more resources and more ability to invest at short notice, so in the spirit of supporting these 'community' business folk who also bring us all these lovely cutting edge toys that some of the bigger companies see less profit in than sticking with established lines, I think we can give a little more leeway? 🙂

That'll be the TA4, still in production.

I have to agree with you here tbh. The Tempest, and my Anvil along with it, are or at least feel like much more 'engineered' products.

That’s interesting feedback because I feel the experience I’m getting is a little different between the TA3 and the Tempest but I’m not at bowl 20; but the TA3 has 70x3mm vs Tempest with 40x3mm so there has to be some differences, the main one for me is there seems to be a a lot more conduction in the TA3, the bowl gets quite hot in use where the Tempest bowl is a little more isolated. Maybe its my imagination.

I love the Stem
The CC Omega's 14mm injector fits the Thermal Accumulator's bowl perfectly, diffuser style:

It was my impression too, very similar devices in essence, but the way they work is quite different, especially the heat capacity and profile of the different heads. But then I can also see that if push came to shove and I hadn't the money for both, then one would certainly fill my needs. But I'm quite happy having both in this case. Xmas and Birthday did their thing at just the right time for me! Gawd bless ya, Santa! 😈 (and thanks mum!)
