To compare them: both have similar technology, the new heating element released 6 months ago is now in production for the Venus, and the same part is used here. But this seems deliver even more strong vapors. Maybe because of the short path from herb chamber, not much opportunity for the vapor to condensate on any surface like the tube or glasstop. Incoming air path is also much shorter. Of course the vapor is warmer in the pocket version because short vapor path doesn't allow cooling it so much. batteries last a longer time with a single charge in the pocket version, about 50% extra capacity. And batteries come out and can have extra batteries. In Venus, batteries cannot be replaced, but on the other hand they are very strong with a long life time and the supplied ac/dc adapter can charge them in about 1 hour 20 minutes, and it can be also used with the adapter in place and charged same time. On pocket model charging happens on external battery charger, so it's good to have 2 sets of batteries.
Advantages I see with Venus: Very nice feeling to vaporize, when you can see the vapors flowing beautifully in the glasstop with lights inside. In a dark room, with music playing, it can be very nice to enjoy not only the vapors but also the visual view and the process of getting medicated. Very comfortable cool but strong vapors for sensitive people.
And Pocket: Size, more easy to carry with, and doesn't take much space. Very nice ergonomic feeling to use, fits nicely in hand. I like that I can have as much battery energy with me as I wish because batteries can be changed quickly. Even more powerful vapors in a smaller form factor. More clean vapor path with higher airflow capacity. The glass tube is sized so well that it surely doesn't limit airflow in anyway. And there are not much to clean in this vape, just clean this glass tube sometimes and that's it I think.
I would expect this to be nearly indestructible. The oak it's really tough material, the metal parts support it even more, the electronics I've tried to make as foolproof as possible, placing them in their own compartment without any mechanical contacts and since charging is done externally and batteries and chargers are widely available around the world, the actual vaporizer might just need a new halogen bulb someday but that's it, probably can be still used by the following generations if batteries will be available in the distant future))
I have to say I haven't myself used any other vapes, only once tried quickly one well known model with the inflating plastic bag full of vapor. But I've heard from many customers that the Venus has the quality and amount of vapor very well comparable or exceeding that of many popular desktop vapes, and the pocket model as I explained the above reasons, has even stronger vapors and same time it is a true portable model fitting in your pocket. So I think it is a good fit for those who don't want to compromise on vapors but need a reliable vaporizer which can be carried along easily.
And since it is a compact neat pocket sized device, with solid and pretty but same time natural appearance, and delivers amazingly good vapors, I feel very fond of it, it's like a personal treasure, always around, if not in use, just nice to look and touch
