I already have one ordered but seeing that video...for some reason I feel like now I need another.

I have a Zion and a grasshopper coming...must...fight temptation...

I have the Milaana and Grasshopper coming as well.......but after seeing that video of how well "Apollo Tech" halogen heaters work......I am really looking forward to seeing the new Helios plug-in model.

So, I guess I'm not too good with temptation myself lately and will probably end up with a Helios as well.

I am guessing that with a true class leading "real portable" vape in the Apollo now being on the market that there's a chance that the Helios might be a very nice upgrade to the Venus..... since people will now probably either steer towards the Helios or Apollo in his future sales and a style refresh might be nice in addition to the plug-in vaping experience.

......except those people who really want a globed and whipped portable vaporizer for picnic and camping of course, or perhaps repeats sales through his current customer base who just love their Venus'es (hmmn, not too sure how to do the "possessive plural" for Venus"?)

But watching vapour swirling through a lit up glass chamber before it "whips over" to a water tool sure seems like something to look forward to.......and I do enjoy the whip vaping experience.

It would also be much easier to pass around a whip mouthpiece during social occasions rather than a water-filled bubbler that you don't want to see fall from anyone's hands.....and then you can also control the button for a new user.

My FC-UFO v2 glass really hasn't seen a lot of love lately but I'm thinking that a Helios running through to the FC-UFO and then again out through the UFO whip connection would be very nice! I also have enough whip length to cover the whole living room seating radius from the coffee table - so that nobody needs to get up from where they are sitting.....just pass the whip around and then just ask the guy sitting closest to the vape (probably me ) to hit the "launch button".

VirtualPurple - I think that you said that you also had a FC-UFO glass piece as well? At least I think I read that about a page or two back.....unless I am thinking of a different FC'er?

But if it was you that I am thinking of..... then it sure would be nice to see a video of Apollo heater tech sending vapour through the FC-UFO and then out again through a vapour whip.

This would probably be close to the same experience as through a Helios or Venus I'm guessing - except minus the lit up vapour visuals.

Yup......seeing is believing!

I was relieved to see how well it performed through glass after pre-ordering it just only after seeing how beautiful it was and then hoping that it would also pump out vapour as well as the Herbalizer videos that I've seen...... which is also based on a halogen technology.

Can't wait to get mine......probably grab the Helios at the same time. It's really a good time to be a vapour connoisseur......it seems like the next generation and fully evolved vape tech is hitting the market just about now.

Hello FC Community, I am lurking in this Forum for quite some time now and really like the constructive way of how the communication works here. I was mainly following the GH Thread, because I had a pre-order for some time but then decided to wait until there are functioning retail units available. At some point I found the Apollo in the unreleased thread and it fascinated me from the begining.

Since I am almost sold and really would like to order it, I would like to ask some questions to the people who already have it (two as far as I have counted correctly).

How harsh is the vapor when used dry? Since I only have a MFLB, a FM 5.0S mini and an Extreme-Q, how good would be the taste compared to those? I really like the taste of the Extreme-Q through water, but that is also my only experience with a convection vape. And do you have to stir the load in the Apollo? Since from what I read here the chamber gets to hot to touch, so that stirring might get problematic within a session.

In any case this is a great looking vape and I am almost sold on a pre-order.

Don't think the vapor is harsh at all. The tube is really large and about 20mm ID. But I'm still sick and having bad throat issues... So what do I say?
Don't have any of your vapes to compare to, but this is one hell of a nice tasting vape. Smutman says it's being tasting than the GH. It's definitely top notch quality vapor. Top tier.
You don't have to stir the Apollo. The material is flying and moving. The heat can be so intense and the way the halogen light is radiated, it extracts damn well. Of course it would be interesting to see, if you kind of over pack it .. And see how the abv looks after a session. But who would do that?
Definitely recommend getting one.. Really do!

I personally have the feeling that I am kind of a sensitive person when it comes to hot or harsh vapor. Very easy to make me cough. That is why I am asking so much about it. Dont want to stress you out with it, especially since such feelings are very subjective and hard to answer.

Though I am extremely tempted to click the buy button the justified but not so low price is why I am asking so much.

While you did extensive research on the heating element are there any temperatures relating to certain percentages of intensity with the halogen bulb. For example, like 20 percent halogen bulb intensity are about 180 degree celsius or something like that?

I'm kinda a sissy too when it comes to throat sensitivity etc. But don't mix up harshness/too warm vapor up with very intense and dense vapor.. There's people that are drawing like a horse but have to cough after or while exhalig (the typical nnnnggnnnngngnnnnnn...ncoughcoughcouhcoughchchchch). So it can be really nice and good and smooth goin but you can overdo it. I think this applies to everything vape.
You don't need to worry about this one I think... You have the option to get the longer stem too. You can ride this thing hot, I'm sure, but I have more irritation when doin my Air sometimes even on blue.

Just thinking about getting a D020 bubbler from DHGate to use the Apollo through water. The D020 looks like a nice small piece of glass and I could connect the Apollo directly to it, instead of using long silicone tubes as I have to use now with the Extreme-Q and my bubbler.

Well, I am really excited about being part of this and hope I will like the Apollo as much as expected.

But to answer your question, I don't currently have any data regarding the actual temperatures. The extensive testing of heating element has been more structural and practical kind of testing, and the development has been purely driven by vaporization results. But maybe someday someone on the forum comes up with some information.

I cannot compare myself as I don't have experience of other vapes but there is one customer feedback comment on the venus vaporizer site, which has similar vaporization results with the Apollo, though Apollo has been improved further but I think they are quite comparable. Apollo was my project to get desktop performance in your pocket.

I also like the MFLB a lot where 2 to 3 tokes are also enough for me for about an hour or two with a fresh trench. I also like the taste from the first couple of hits.

What I like the most about those 2 Vapes, is that I can just take the hits I need an then get back to my load later on. The Flowermate I own is a nice and discrete portable device but it spends the whole load while being used and the taste is inferior to the other ones.

My hope is, that the Apollo gives me those nice tasting convection hits, like the Extreme-Q, while being almost as portable as my MFLB with on-demand functionality of those both.

I will report.

I had a mighty, sold it soon after. Just not a fan and the device couldn't keep up with my harsh environment I exposed it to. I thought it was suppose to hang but it couldn't. So a mighty isn't a good comparison for me lol.

This vape will not see the same conditions as my past mighty. This is more of a classy vaping tool for calm and enjoyable times IMO.

I work in a rugged environment, needless to say this will not be my 'at work' vape by any means. I have a very durable flame powered vape for that.

I don't like bags, so I haven't used the Volcano and I also haven't used an LSV/Da Buddha/SSV - so I can't compare to any other desktops but the Extreme. But the Mighty can generate a lot of vapour when filled up and used at highest heat setting through water.

But we've both seen the "Pictures Of Pot" video and the vapour that the Apollo produced is very impressive - at least as good as the Mighty and likely even better.

The thickest vapour that I've seen was through my Underdog stainless steel stems......but that was just below combustion level vapour.

I would also be only using the Apollo in an indoor environment or just on a weekend getaway - maybe camping but only where it is a cottage rental or car camping site.

I wouldn't want to truly rough it with such a nice looking vape as the Apollo......I would probably pick up a VapCap, Vapman or Hammer for that use if I was vaping in a very rough environment.

I have an original Extreme too. Still runs fine, although i never use it. The Q stands for "quiet". The only difference in the Extreme vs the Q is the fan, the original fans were less dependable, and a lot louder.

Following this thread closely. Really want to get and review this vape. It looks ideal as a session portable for me to share with others.

I would think the appearance of vapor would be 'better' in the mighty's case but the taste is where it's at! And I can't wait to taste the Apollo for myself.

Yeah I've actually done the replace a desktop with a portable thing, very recently and quite effectively in fact, so it is definitely doable... There are now plenty of powerful portable convection vapes around these days and more coming... Apollo seems like a great addition as I always expected...

Thanks @vapen00b I am loving the Apollo! @villekille2 you sir have made an OUTSTANDING vape! Thank you sooo much for rerouting mine at the last minute and exchanging a few items on my order. You sir definitely provide top notch customer service along with a quality vape. I got the shipping email Wed morning and received it Fri afternoon in the US, can you ask for better shipping than that? It was bigger than I thought but that is not a problem at all. It fits and feels normal and smooth in the hand (bout the same size as my cell). The taste alone is amazing through the Apollo. I set mine at 5 and let my mind become "Homer Simpson-fied". Every now and then hit the "boost" and prepare for stars. I am still trying to figure everything out (that's the plan today with saving heat settings, trying every heat setting, playing more with the boost).

First off the taste with this vape is so insane to me. My first chamber was some Bruce Banner and a vape session never tasted so sweet. My favorite vape for taste had been the VaporCup but the Apollo has taken that place. I vaped my Grasshopper, VaporCup, Guru, Apollo and CFX yesterday and the Apollo took the cake. At first I thought I wasn't going to like the mouthpiece being "wide" but it hasn't bothered me at all. I've haven't used the 140mm mouthpiece yet but will get to that today. I like the easiness to load and unload the herb chamber. You can pack a little load or fill it up (nugs or grind). I have stayed within 4-6 heat settings so far. I like to vape at low temps but I am gonna try the higher settings later today as well. I'm still on my first charge and gone through 8 chambers anywhere from 5-10 mins each session. Speaking of which, it comes with a sweet battery charger that can be used in the car.

The downsides of the Apollo is you might have to wait a whooping 60-80 secs (haven't officially timed it yet) for it to heat. I know people can't wait 60 secs but if you want quality, the extra seconds are worth it. The learning curve is pretty big on this one with figuring out the buttons but if you read the directions, @villekille2 did an excellent job basically taking you by the hand from turning it on to turning it off in the manual. It runs a little hot after 8-10 mins around the chamber but nothing to be upset over. I had a few people use it yesterday and they didn't even notice. Now you need to be careful and not wrap you hand around the chamber when using. You could get burnt there after a good long session.

The Apollo has blown me away to the point I doubt I buy a FF2 now and I still haven't figured out the Apollo 100%. This is now going to be one one my everyday vapes.
