People really like closing the airport huh? I only close mine when the bowl starts cooling down and vapor productions significantly diminishes
My clouds are much more puffy than this smoke-like thick vapor... I couldnt really pull of (effectively at least without reheats) that joint style puffing when i tried so i gave up... This makes me wanna try it all over again as I did with the V1 :D
That vid is my system too, only I DTL, one or two hits closed hole and feather it toward the end. Full bowl, works a treat just don't pack it down. Superb. Through glass it's stellar

Beats that heap of over priced metal the Hyperdyn ( I got it to test the hype-- It should be called Hypedyn) and my much loved Dani Fusions 1 & 2. cooler, bigger bowl, WPA built in and all the rest.

Yea the Hypedyn is really underwhelming... only purchase from dynavap that i regret... tried it a few times after the Tempest but it performs so much worse that it is not even funny...

EDIT: i have just received my Tempest 2 - it looks SO MUCH better in person than the pictures or videos!

Also received some unexpected goodies :) thanks a lot Brenyo and others, I'm off to my adventure!

Another EDIT: as i clean i noticed rust or rust-like stains at the end of the condenser part, the narrowed side (moutpiece side), localized spots in a circle around the end of it.

and another one: upon closer inspection it seems to be where the spiral cooler touches the condenser on the exit (where the moutpiece screws on) and the spiral thingy has a stronger metal smell than id expect.
not sure if I care though, cleaned it up nicely (bit harder to clean so far because of all the grooves and new machined parts, but nothing much

all the chatty people sleeping so i gotta keep editing the comment:
tested it with the full bowl (felt heroic today) just now, after cleaning it - stock as it came with zirconia, installed the new adaptor (it is not fixed, you can adjust the angle slightly) as the manual says (end of lines on tempest at the edge of wand glass, slightly shown).

Wand temp 275 Celsius as manual says, heated up much faster than I expected (i will try 285 next time as my wand/batteries are showing its mileage). Cooling is awesome, airport fully open with fluttering after the initial pull, cooling spiral installed as stock.

It was less hot than what I am used to (using direct tube tempest 1 without SCU and airport intake is going through the spiral first, then mixes with the vapour in the condeser )

... to be continued I got an upcoming unexpected meeting which the excitement and this hit made me forget about... awkward

anyway, TLDR is:
awesome first impressions, hits like a truck

Yes that's why I soaked mine on arrival, cleaned out the head carefully too. Inspection had showed some marks and a tiny stained area. All gone after ISO. Waaaay better than current Dyna production I read on here with swarf, broken bits, poor machining with tool jitter marks.
I didn't notice the spiral having an aroma, I don't know what its made from.

I'd imagine it'll just be dirt from manufacturing, titanium doesn't corrode like that, as in go brown/rusty.
If the marks don't go away after cleaning get in touch with mad heaters, but it should clean up fine.

Yea, it struck me as weird to see corrosion on titanium, but thought maybe the spiral isn't titanium? what material is it?

Regarding the magnet pull on the reload - it is much weaker, is this intended, @Brenyo ? I cannot open the bowl with the regular top-side reload magnet, i have to use the slotted one because it keeps spinning in place.

After 10 days of solid use (patinas going purple on the head ha ha) first deep clean and it was fully gunked. Balls fairly dark also. Decided to go for a Ruby build, let's see what they got!

Edit. They smack, I'm getting more taste i think, but they dump heat so rapidly into the herb. Punchy 👊

Mines also getting a clean this evening as it's finally starting to gunk up.
Are you having to do anything differently with the ruby's? Inhale slower or faster etc? I've got some to experiment with too.

Yeah mine was pretty heavy in resin! No nothing different, just with zirc you get a ramp I feel, with these its more instant. Great for micro bowls however which is my preference.

Pure Ti gr1

Tighten the screw a bit more, it might be spinning on it. The bottom of the cap is the same material with the same thickness and surface area as the V1.
Tried to tighten it but it is pretty tight already. It smoothly glides on the magnet when the v1 doesnt, like there is less friction?

The wand adaptor is awesome btw - I admit i was pretty sceptical looking at the photos, but it legit works very well once you set it up correctly, i cleaned my v1 adaptor and put it aside as backup.
As it was 3d printed i had a piece of the material remain in the silicone slot so i used scissors to break it off from under - then the silicone perfectly slotted in.
Also I was not sure how to angle the adaptor as it is somewhat wiggly. Screwing in the round part into the adaptor felt intuitive but with a bit too much friction (i was scared to was gonna break it so i tried being gentle). I used some "nose-grease" to make it screw in easier, seemed to help :p

For wand settings, I needed to adjust the timer/temp to 285C and got like 90% extraction of the full bowl (very dark brown, no charred parts, end of whole bowl was a bit less dark, with hints of light brown) and no need for a reheat, very satisfied. Used a herborizer piece this time and it works perfectly as a WPA, the 18 was satisfied, instantly cleaned and stored my water piece adaptors.

The airport setting locking in needs some getting used to (as the v1 is drastically different/easier to mess up).
The head doesnt yellow as fast it seems when heated, maybe because of thickness and it will just take longer.

Anyway, hits like a truck, very pleasant, very potent, first impressions are excellenct, V1 experience all over again WOOOOO

Give a shout out to your European collegeues for courier choice and promptness!

peaceeee

Flare is kinda trash and doesn't work with much. Didn't work with tempest 1 well at all.
Forge is great over wand but it's 4x the cost.
Can't speak for tempest 2 as I haven't gotten mine yet ):

I tried the Flare with the T2, and it has the same issue as the V1

Its a shame as its fantastic with the Dani Fusion

But that said the wand is giving me a full extraction with 1 cycle, so i don't need any more power!

I’ve taken my reload apart and put some gorilla glue under it, but you can try tightening the screws that clamp the corners In place on the reload (I assume you mean magnet is spinning)

Damn. It's a shame thr flare was such a disappointment. Bfg promised wayyyy more than they delivered.

Can't wait for my T2

This is totally usable without the spiral cooler, i was scared a bit, but it has the same cooling capabilities as a hypedyn, maybe a bit better.
Left the airport fullly open, no fluttering, its wild. less surface = less loss. im wrecked.

edit: am I trippin or is there no more way to pop out the bowl screen with a part of the device? like how you could use the moutpiece part on the v1?

used the v1 part and i cant for the life of me put any bowl size other than full size... from top, from bottom, no way it slots in, i dont get it

Somehow managed to slowly get to the 0.15 line, but took me like 3 whole minute with 2 tools, one to push other to control deformation... i love the new screens but so hard to slot them for 0.1 and 0.15 lines. There must be some better way, I will try again sober one day

Use the black “C” shape tool, it fits on the condenser tube under the thread of the MP, smooth side facing the thread.
Set screen to the max position first, then put the bowl over the condenser / tool and push the screen from the other side into position. A DV condenser works better than the CU for pushing it in place.

You can use the CU

Fwiw I have also found the Reload 2 magnet to be far grabber with my V1 than my V2.

I'm pretty sure it's the screw, it has to be the same. I can't feel any difference.

Oh, the C shape is for the bowl, thought that it was for screwing in the wand adaptor - thanks, I'll try that right away!

Yea tried it with the CU, it worked but kinda deformed it a bit too much for my liking ( rolled it flat with the reload )

Yea its the screw, but no matter how much i tighten it, when it gets warm it seems it still spins on it a bit, I now have a scratched middle circle of the magnet on the reload to prove it haha.

Thanks!

Works like a charm! perfect! i wondered that the lines were on the condenser, i love it!

EDIT: ok that took a minute to compile but i got it, pictures for others to understand easier:

Après quelques utilisations, je trouve personnellement, en tant que propriétaire du Tempest 1, que le Tempest 2 a été vraiment bien pensé et a bénéficié de très bonnes améliorations. C'est une véritable réussite. Nous avons pensé à tout pour que l'utilisateur profite au mieux de sa vie. Excellent travail ! Bravo !
