id be worried the aluminum heatshield will scratch up a lot. my raw Ti V1 shows some wear and im familiar with beating up both these materials from other hobbies.
Thats the only thing id worry about...

I imagine it would be prohibitively expensive due to the raw dimensions. Probably $500+ ea for gr5?

It would start as a solid blank rod before cutting and you're paying for all that material iirc.

I have read a few times now that the titanium heat shield doesn't have any practical effect outside of adding weight and cost to the tempest. I bought one anyway because I just like nice machining and can appreciate it even more with something like titanium. I just had one question about it though. Is it actually true that there's literally no benefit to it? I saw Brenyo say in a response on here that the titanium sleeve will basically never get hot. Would that be slightly different compared to the aluminum heat shield? I'm wondering if the full titanium version maybe does actually have one advantage, albeit a small one, in that it may be better for back to back to back bowls and heavy use? I'm not sure if this is an accurate way to think about it or not though

Don’t know if someone said this already but one huge benefit I can think of is you can drop the whole damn thing in a ultrasonic cleaner whereas if you did that with the aluminum, I believe it would damage it right?

I did email asking about a stainless reload, this was the reply…

Unfortunately, for it to be worth it, I have to order thousands of them, and I don't think I could sell that many of them with the added weight. I would personally prefer a titanium version

I would also interested in titanium but, as someone above said, I think the price would make it unfeasible.

Vestratto have announced a stainless stash that is a similar concept to the reload. I’ve got one on order so will see if it can replace the reload.

To be fair the heat shield doesn't get dirty enough to be cleaned with the rest of the bits in a cleaner like that, I just give mine a rinse with soapy water.

If you drop them in then it'll all end up scratched

But going how scarred and scratched up my V1 titanium heat shield is, I'm looking forward to seeing how the aluminium copes with the battering it will get.
Have I said I can't wait for this?

Just having a closer look at the pics of it now and it won’t work for the tempest. It has a raised hex bit in the middle of the magnet that I hadn’t noticed initially, so will only work with vestratto devices unfortunately.

Depends how you use it, how heavy a user you are etc.
But sure you can absolutely clean it every day very easily.
You could just remove the ball head as that doesn't need cleaning unless you combust, and leave it in iso overnight, then give it a good rinse and dry in the morning

I have 1 full tempest, and 3 revolve stems with tempest bowls, I basically use a stem, then soak it fully assembled (minus the ball head) overnight, rinse and leave to dry in the morning, then grab another stem and fit the ball head to that.

The machines are good, but while titanium is super hard, it is prone to micro scratches, I'd imagine if you put an anodised unit in a cleaner like that, it could end up looking a bit rough.
Maybe not though. I haven't used one for my vapes.
I've had my v1 for yonks now and it's a bit of a mess, it was a raw unit which I anodised purple, it really is covered in micro scratches though.
