So my dumbass put the Tempest into the wand the other way round. The part between the mouthpiece and grooves has kinda turned black. Vape still works fine. Would an iso wash fix it?

Any news on when will the reload be available? I have been using my Yll decapper and it is great but I would love to have the real deal

Far as I know, everything in there is steel and titanium except for the o-rings and any reclaim. I'd imagine if you take it apart you ought to be able to get a better idea, though I'd guess the worse may be a matter of scraping off a melted o-ring?

It says i can pre order it, do you know when will they ship it if I order now? There is no buy now option
It would ship around the end of the week, and there will be more color options soon.

The bearing in the MP melted unfortunately, you can likely use it without spinning. If you can remove all the melted plastic, then you can either get a POM bearing from the website or, if it won't come out, a new MP.

Awsome, thanks. Any estimations on when more colours are coming? (Weeks, months)?

I wasn't sure if the "pre-order" button is on purpose or a mistake, but I got some accessories on preorder couple weeks ago but they were in stock and shipped real fast.
I haven't seen the buy now button for a while, so kinda attributed it to a bug on the website.
Now, looking at Brenyos replies, it is probably on purpose to give some space between fulfilment or smth

I've said it before and more than likely i'll say it again: what a great, great vape!!
:clap::tup::bowdown:

Sampling my Strawberry Cough in The Tempest and as usual i got impatient so my sample was barely dry enough to grind.
Load up a bowl, drop it in the Wand at 320C till timeout and there you go!!
The clouds really come effortless with The Tempest, there's no restriction at all!
I always start with a couple of short/small hits to get things going and then:
Boom, clouds galore!
I always hit it the same way tbh:
The direct tube has been in there for a long time now, no secondary cooling spiral and i start with the airport closed. I just hit it like a J for a good minute i think and the clouds just seem to get bigger by the hit! Flutter the airport a bit near the end of the bowl.
Never had to do a second heating cycle using it this way, always fully extracted (except whin i use hash, then i go for a second cycle that usually unleashes the true power of the hash!).

With this fresh/uncured weed the Tempest really shines, the terps are just amazing!
The first hits are almost overwhelming in flavor and the taste stays on point till the end.
Would love to do bowl after bowl just for those tasty clouds but daaaaamn, this shit just hits me too hard so i need to restrain myself...

You guys know where I could find a Tempest rosewood sleeve? I can find the ebony in a few places, but I really want the rosewood 😅

Is there anyone who makes or someone who makes something similar: I'm looking for a short 18mm WPA that fits the Tempest. I've got a 10/14/18mm, but it's so long. I'm envisioning a little wooden shorty WPA of some sort, but I can't seem to find one searching. Is this a thing?

Anyone try a smaller hot coil as a heat source? Do they make them small enough? Only have one for zeal

Some recent text messages from friends, after I had them try the Tempest:

- "I have to get one of those."

- "Hey dude! I meant to ask you about that pen you had the other night. Would you mind sending me the brand or website? I wanna check it out. It was so pleasant!" ... "It was the smoothest hit I’ve maybe ever had. Thanks for sharing!"

- "heyoooo. my brain has been inoculated by ball vape fetish."

I have been using the Tempest for about a month with the wand depth set so the heat is mostly convection. A few days ago I changed it to more conduction (almost all the way in), and I have to say I much prefer it like this. Surprisingly the taste is better, less drying on the throat as well... more experimentation needed!

I'm a little confused about this. I have heard before people say that they were using more conduction with their Tempest, and others have offered that its relative depth in the wand could mean that the bowl is getting heated instead of, or more than the glass balls. The problem with that is the bowl is titanium, as is nearly all of the Tempest other than the induction sleeve, and should not be heated (heatable) by an induction heater. An induction heater primarily heats steel. I notice my bowl does get very warm, almost hot, but the heat seems to be coming from the hot vapor rather than being heated by the IH. Am I misunderstanding this?

Added: Apparently I am... "While all conductive metals can be heated with induction, metals with magnetic properties (like iron and steel) heat up more efficiently due to hysteresis losses" So, apparently titanium can be heated with induction, it just won't compare to how much steel is heated by it. So while in my case, the bowl is being heated by the vapor because it is out of range of the induction, if the bowl was in the induction range it could be heated by it. How well I can't say...

There are instructions in the manual for lining up markings on the tempest with the glass insert of the wand.

Even if the tempest is sitting as deep into the wand as the markings suggest, the bowl will still be a few cm above the induction coils, so I doubt it heats directly.

What balls are you guys using?
I tried the stock and 2.5mm SS balls. I feel like the SS hold the heat for longer, so i don't have to rush to get a full extraction from one heat cycle.
How do others compare?

I'm seeing a few people lately preferring more conduction to make the vapour smoother. I think that smoothness comes at the cost of the terpenes.

I tend to want my terpenes intact, more for how they contribute to the entourage effect of the strain. I recall when my main driver was the Weedeater with shovel head bowl. I would pre heat the bowl and it gave lots of conduction, but it felt like every strain started to taste and feel the same.
