It's really easy to take it apart, you unscrew the mouthpiece and the stem comes apart, it's a lot easier than the original.Just wondering if someone that has their tempest 2 could possibly post a video of them cleaning it or if someone has a link to one I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm kind of confused about how to properly disassemble and what parts to actually soak in iso. Waiting for mine to get here and just want to be prepared to clean it right.
i gotta say, these are some great recommendations. much happier with the results i’m getting now. can’t wait for that new CU to drop and i will be one happy camper! So after a lot more testing, I come to the same conclusion as with the Tempest V1. It’s insane but the manual is a trap.
I couldn’t get any good hits so I decided to do the same thing I did with the Tempest V1 and disregarded the manual and made the Tempest sit much higher so the notches protrude about 5-6mm and upped the temperature to 300–310 with Zirc (330 with Ruby).
(Downside is you can’t see the VI anymore like with the glass adapter but I usually get a feeling for it and pull it to check.)
Head airflow is about 30–40% open and stem is fully closed. Results are insane. All of a sudden I blow huge clouds and the taste is so unbelievably good I would say I have never tasted cannabis like this in my life. My Frozen Lemon Mints tastes like I’ve drank a minty lemonade.
This is still at smallest setting so this is only the beginning. I will test a lot more but I can say this is a winner.
For me, minus the top housing screw issue, the definitive choice for a portable ball vape.
It’s not even that a Tornado or other vapes suck, but the Tempest combines many intricacies and details no other vape delivers.
The way I can effortlessly take gigantic OHE rips that make me lay down or rip many huge hits for a long time with breaks to be able to talk, not having to rush, was something I was always chasing and it’s here.
200% better than on Tempest V1 in that regard!!! Also the taste got even better IMHO! (Maybe the higher, better quality of heat or the more direct stem.)
Congratulations Brenyo, I’m sure once everyone got their hands on it this will be talked about as it pushed and refines the Tempest V1 in ways that actually pushes it over the edge fully!!
So to people who read here and are struggling: disregard the manual with depth setting and set the Tempest much higher and up the temp!! It’s about 1000% better for me now. In love to be honest! Basically set it as high as you still can get dark brown roast with around 300-310C.
It’s not all roses though, to be fair and transparent:
- My Tempest V2 floats on the top screw and scratched my Reload beyond belief unfortunately. I also looked for burrs and swapped to the flat screw from my Tempest V1. Still hovers even though it’s better. I feel my indicator housing has been maybe slightly misdrilled (0.5 mm or something) so sanding doesn’t help here.
- My CCD got nicked and it’s kinda impossible to set it perfectly now so it’s pretty crooked even with the C-shaped tool as help (very cool idea btw!)
- Also super minor: I wasn’t aware that it came with rubies and I bought another pair so now I have a useless pack of rubies and ball screen here.
Anyways, rant/raving over, have a good one family!

Video seems a bit overkill imho... you can do it in an ultrasonic cleaner or manually. The only thing I do not clean regularly is the tempest head / balls. Maybe swipe the head inside a bit.Just wondering if someone that has their tempest 2 could possibly post a video of them cleaning it or if someone has a link to one I'd greatly appreciate it. You just need to dissasemble the device into 4 parts (without head) and pop the screen out. You do not need to clean the heat shield really, but just wipe it away because of your finger grease and all that.
Take you cleaning solution, some q-tips(cotton swabs), a toothpick, some kichen paper towels. ISO is 70% for me, easiest to get but not the best, it's enough though to make it sparkly.
I personally don't do soaking, just some elbow greaseIf it is not shining, it is unclean! If you can smell something other than the metal, it is unclean.
I am done in about 10 - 15 minutes depending how high I am, because the first step is always take a hit before cleaning. warmth is your friend.
Cleaned yesterday morning, so my next clean is coming up later today or tommorow, I'll try to take some pics for you if I remember.
I'd love to see a little video of you doing thisthanks dudei really enjoy the colors, i polished it with polyboy and it went back in the colorscheme a bit ( the color depends on thickness of the oxidation layer). So i gave it a little retorch and the blue is much more bright now, i love it.
I will make some photos and share them later with you.

Which ultrasonic do ypu recommend?I don't have a tempest yet (SOON though, my T2 is in New Jersey right now just waiting to hit the post office so it can be delivered) but imo it's worth it to buy a small ultrasonic parts cleaner. Because it's titanium you'd want to make sure all the pieces were held still otherwise they'd get scratched to hell and back but they're super cool and do a better job than we can with things like toothpicks and q-tips
What are in your opinion the biggest differences between the v1 and V2 stem? Positive and negative.v1 was already a breeze to clean, especially with the plastic tube, that fits entire stem apart from head and shield.
v2 is even simpler to clean due to less parts, but it doesn't fit in the mentioned tube, so something similar would be appreciated. Should be easy to source regardless.
Trying the 0.2 bowl last days...works like a charm, even extraction, clouds and clouds, with only downside that stash is taking a toll too quickly...being used to v1 0.075 bowl, so no surprise
Having the v2 stem at the local woodcrafter for a few days so he can make a wooden sleeve, hopefully with groves so cooling ribs can be seen thru...therefore been trying v2 head on v1 stem, that also pairs nicely.
I only have v2 for few days...but, ye, I like that v2 has less orings than v1. v1 cools vapour slightly better, at the expense of bigger restriction and condensation. What are in your opinion the biggest differences between the v1 and V2 stem? Positive and negative.
Word! Also, from my experience, that better cooling of the v1 stem results in a far hotter heat shield, while the v2 takes the heat in it's stride while still delivering a cool hit natively and easier to back-to-back because of it. Of course that larger bowl on the 2 makes it less necessary.
Bottom line, despite the fact they are still damn great vapes, I've not touched the v1's since getting my 2 three weeks ago.
I would say 290-300CBonjour ! Merci d'avance !
Thanks youJe dirais 290-300C
Mais cela dépend de vos goûts
Yea it was a challenge for me too, but mostly because I didn't have a proper size screwdriver so I had to use the reload debowler.I really struggled to remove the ball screen, after i managed but ruined it in tje process, the hole in the middle became bigger because of the extra force applied. Put the rubies in, fitted with the extra provided ball screen(thank god this was included), seems to work fine now. It's just a little twist to lock /unlock screen right? No full screwing action like on tutorial T1 head?
Wanted to order a new ball screen to have backup again but now the EU site is down. 🫠
Hope it really is temporary, I'm not done with MH yet@Acedia yeah i notice they are hard to remove at first. I sanded the 3 points a little bit to be easier…but damn, the system is way safer than the previous one. It is a little twist + click sound.
