I personally don't do it so can't testify from my own experience, but my friends that swear by low temp vaping decarb to ensure a full decarb when they smoke. Then have been reporting that the flavors are much better but it doesn't hit as hard. To get it to hit harder, they are decarbing oil for their cartridges.Why it might be better to decarb for low temp vaping?

I bet the taste might be better cause the low temp and short time exposure...Is the taste similar of of rosin chips/abv oil similar to reclaim?
Ive had mine a little over a year. I also have a closed loop butane extractor. I rarely used the closed loop butane system. My go to is The Source.

"Normal mode is the mode for running a typical extraction. It takes approximately 4 hours to complete a full run with minimal pump activity. Turbo mode double the processing speed but also significantly increases pump activity. Both modes work at the same internal operating temperature range."
So Im curious to why one would not want to cut the cycle time in 1/2?

My suspicion is that it's LOUD, which leads to a follow-up question...
Has anyone made a proper acoustic enclosure for the unit that still meets it's environmental needs?

You have to really keep an eye on it towards the end in turbo mode or you'll end up with burnt concentrate. But yea, other than that, it's the way to go.
Define loud.. I mean, its loud but its not super loud. I dont know what to equate it to but its considerably quieter than my standalone vacuum pump for my purge container.
my #1 question, how loud are they when they are generating vacuum?
Are they going to make one that's say 3-4x the size?
Very affordable..would this be a good not too labor intensive way to utilize high quality trim and turn it into something that can be vaped on a nail?

Yea.. the pump doesnt run a lot in non turbo mode. It runs constantly almost in turbo mode.
I dont have a sound meter to measure the sound so sorry about that. Its loud but its not "neighbors can hear it running" loud.

I use it to make shatter pretty much exclusively. Works really well but I do my extraction a little different than most.
I put my alcohol and my flower in dry ice for several hours then combine them and put them back in dry ice. About every 15 minutes I take it out, swirl it and put it back in. After an hour, you can strain it out but it actually dewaxes from the extreme cold so all the fats and lipids settle at the bottom.
Works great. Ive mentioned it on the Extractcraft Facebook page a couple of times but I dont think Ive seen anyone else do it this way.
Good technique. Maybe I'll combine the two next tine. The dry ice let's you do a reallllllllllly long wash. I've done an hour with zero green in the stained alcohol. What comes out is very clean.I do a similar thing: I freeze the bud and the PGA separately, and then I gently stuff the bud into KorLor420 silk rosin bags. I put the open end of the bag inside another bag and double bag it. Then I put the bags into a jar of alcohol. You won't believe how well it works: of course the alcohol infuses all the good stuff, but everything else seems to stay inside the rosin bags!!! I'm getting strictly deep yellow tincture, even when I leave the stuff overnight!!
Does it work well with non-fresh material?
I know my rosin presses suffer due to using very well cured material... hopeful this Source might provide a better method.
