Lonesome Planet
C/2022 E3 (ZTF), a rare GREEN comet will be at perihelion on January 12th; and will be at its closest approach
To Earth on February 1st, at about 100 x Earth- moon distance.

The Sun’s intense radiation will cause the biatomic carbon molecules in the comet’s coma to break down into carbon atoms, in the process
Releasing a green glow.

If you live in an area with little or no light pollution, it can be best seen when it is high in the night sky, in the
Second part of the night; otherwise, with a brightness index of 9, a small telescope would be prudent.

A pair of binoculars, or a telescope will enhance this once-in-a-500,000 year
Event.

Don’t believe everything you read. 🙄
