Im with you there @sethhobrin . When I bought my v3 top, I was under the impression it was designed for the herc. The herc was designed while the v2 was up if im correct, and v3 was supposed to run it nicely. So having to service mine and be expected toI Received the new V4 top yesterday. It is incredible and allows my SR-71s to function perfectly now. All I would get with the V3 tops was blinking lights and not firing. I just wish the two new Persei's I purchased a month ago came with the V4 and not defective V3 tops that would not function with the multiple SR-71s I purchased with them.
W9tech wanted me to purchase 2 hammer tops and wait to get replacements for the V4 tops for another month and half because I have silver persei's. I didn't want to go this route for multiple reasons so they agreed to allow me upgrade to the V4 tops. It cost me $25 bucks. Kind of silly to have to pay $25 bucks to get replacement tops that would function on two brand new persei's. Not exactly thrilled over that but it is what it is I guess.
I use my persei's for medical reasons so I did not want to be without at least one of them. It barely worked but I could get it to fire if I tried about ten times to find a sweet spot by screwing it and unscrewing it over and over. Now I just have to get the ball rolling on exchanging the other one as well. I am sure they are going to charge me another $25 for a 2nd V4 top. ($10 for warranty upgrade, $6 for return shipping, $2 for handling, and $6 to ship the V3 top back to them which I must do first).
Kind of sad to see that i am treated this way after having an extensive order history of close to $1000 with W9TECH directly including omicron, at least 10 TI Kiss carts and accessories, 2 Persei's, 2 SR-71s, and a bunch of spare parts and supplies. At least I have a functioning top now.
Those of you waiting on V4 tops to replace V3 tops that won't fire consistently won't be disappointed by the V4 top.
I think you have got it all wrong. What other company is providing the type of quality products and constant innovation, while still maintaining an excellent level of Customer Service? This time of year they are very busy. Remember, they don't give you a new iPhone every time a new one comes out that is an improvement on the last. In an industry where user error is very common (and with products for use with dubious legality) I think we are very lucky to have a company that stands behind their product.Im with you there @sethhobrin . -pay 10$ for the exchange
-pay both way shipping, AND THEY STILL ADD THE 5.99$ HANDLING FEES !!!
Its wrong for an order. Even worst on return exchanges. I see this 5.99$ handling fee the evolution of bandits waiting to tax you at the end of the bridge to let you through. Only today its to let the order through.
The herc is great, the best in the biz reading fc. But had I read more posts like mine, @sethhobrin and @sleepingincalifornia, I would have known those guys at w9 are not the type I should encourage with my $.

Look under the search function for "BHOlt". Maybe that's the kind of company you want to do business with?
Edit @sleepininca had issue with FC's privacy policies not W9. That is why he is no longer here.
It seems like you are a little out of order here. You realize they do have to pay people to package and handle shipping - I feel like I get a great bargain by using w9's generous warranty system. Every time I send something in for repair it comes back to me not as good as new but better - the next version. The newest one is frigging amazing. I have never seen a touch switch like this. It is revolutionary.
I am ripped right now from a christmas morning sesh with the herc 74 3.7 volt, using the newest persei top with touch button (which i got for ten bucks - I would have purchased a new set to get the thing!) and my replacement core (the original lasted 11 months of hard daily use) which was warrantied for free. I received my equipment rapidly and I could not be happier with the value of the transaction or the caring personal attention I received from w9
W9 is exactly the type of company I like to do business with. The value of the persei I bought has grown over time beyond the physical unit I bought (the warranty held it even and the upgrades have increased it) and I think that is unique.
Sorry guys. You helped me a lot, and others in getting my persei running and all. I realise now by commenting my negative cs service exp with them, I probably offended you. And I didnt want that. The only thing I would like all of the persei tread reg to know, is that w9 have double standard of services. I was left without answers to a ticket for 14 days , and I bumped the ticket twice during that period. I understand my only option to get an answer, like @ayocam, was to post here, or a pm to thc scientific works as well. Some important factors for me -
relative to the incompatibility issues, I ask myself, has and does w9 continue to operate with good faith? Unquestionably yes.
Do I want to make my small $ contribution to ensure that w9 stays in business and continues to provide us with improved, ingenius and state of art products currently not provided by any other company?
Unquestionably yes.
I have a $500 portable vape, not user rebuildable, from TET and they are no longer in business. They literally were misleading people telling them that orders were being shipped out and carts were being rebuilt for them, and in a day, shut down their factory never to be heard from again.
Happy & safe Holidays to everyone - this is a great community and I am proud to be part of it.
I saw someone mention earlier that they close off the AAF on their 74x to help prevent leaks. I'm curious if this is a common practice as I only have a 71.
The Hercules/Persei is a great combo. That said there is a good deal of learning curve and maintenance involved. Do not be discouraged it is worth it!Whats up everyone, I bought my first vaporizer about 6 months ago (FM Vapormax) and have been enjoying it ever since. Now I'm looking into buying a vaporizer for concentrates and I'm really interested in the Persei with the Hercules SR attachment.
I currently take dabs off my rig at home and I use a mini G pen (oval style pen) when I'm on the go for concentrates. I love taking dabs off my rig but I don't like the mini G pen. Will the hits and highs from a Persei be up to par with dabs off a rig?
I don't want to deal with having to buy cartridges or rebuilding them that is why I also want the Hercules SR attachment. Am I going in the right direction purchasing these two?
