@Mr Mellish- don't worry about the Omicron- it takes a 14mm battery & doesn't have the power of the 18mm batteries that power the Cera and Persei. Don't worry about the Triton either, as it's "In Development" and not available for sale yet.

The Persei is the vape you want. Compare to the Cera. The Hercules is the oil cartridge, compare to the oil cart for the Cera. SR-71 and SR-74 are simply 'versions' of the Hercules; the one you want is the latest version sold on w9tech.com. I think you're making this much more complicated than it really is! Here is a complete shopping list.

1x Persei
1x Hercules SR-74 cartridge
2x AW IMR 18350 batteries

That's it.

- you mention 2 batteries. Is that in addition to the 2 in the kit and a suggestion I'll be happier with 4?
- do you know if the 8 is an add-on for the Persei or a totally new device?

No apologies please, I'm here to help.
The batteries that are included with the Persei are good to power the included Titanium KISS cart, KISS globes, the stainless "ECV1" EO carts, e cig juice tanks and more- but don't have the power to make the Herc work.

For the Herc, AW brand IMR batteries are recommended & are sold by w9tech.com. A pair of 18350s are needed. If you want a second set you would need to pick up 4 batteries total. If you want to use the Persei at home without having to recharge batteries, you can plug it in to the wall with a Core power adapter.

Luna : Cera :: Persei : 8

The 8 is a different model of vaporizer although it can use all attachments that the Persei (and Omicron) can. It's a mechanical mod oil vape + e cig with both 510 and 601 threading options, intended for advanced users.

You can also get a core for at home use.

Or an omicron with the hvd top and the core but that's not portable

To power the herc the bare minimum is 2 AW brand 18350 imr batteries the best possible solution is 4x AW imr 18350's and the core. 4 aw's so you always have a backup when you need to be portable and the core for the best consistent power and the ability to dial down the voltage for better taste

Many users also recommend the nitecore 4bay charger to charge much faster and more reliably

Update on my hercules sr74x experience. Once the black insulator was changed out it has been heavenly. Huge tasty clouds on demand. I am able to load once daily and get plenty for 6-10 sessions a day. The core is so nice with the herc. It really allows you to get optimum performance from the herc. I'm still clogging my mouthpiece so often that I have to ISO bath the screen daily. Small price to pay for this unparalleled performance. Anyone on the fence about the herc should just make the jump it's so convenient and powerful.

Just take the screen out. I haven't had one for the better part of a year.

.4 to get the coils saturated and you can do another .2-.3 on top of that, if you decide to go more then that i would suggest you use the white rod that heats up hotter, some even use 2 coils load the bottom one up, then the top one and just keep adding from there.

I'm not entirely sure what the cause of the issue was but no matter what I plugged it into, the display would always just display "Lo v" and not power anything

It was working fine in my room, brought it out to my car and it wasn't working. Didn't power anything after that. The USB still worked though.

If it's original and in the box, it should come with a charger and 2 imrs. They won't be AW's though. They'll still work with your Herc, but the AW's are way better performance wise and are ideal for the combo.

I find the kiss globe so different than anything else ------- usually great @ first with full battery or the core -- but after a drop of use --

i find it needs a cleaning

and from what I've read to clean this is to upside down soak in lil ISO ? i tried that and didn't have much luck --- actually it almost looks like part of the ceramic wick is engourged … n it doesnt get as hot --- i guess i expect --

love the kiss TI soo much more -- especially at 3.7 ( i only have my 7.4 ) too hot imo -- takes taste away ? imo

but bottom line

I'm interested too, I love the kiss globes so far. Seems like the wick absorbs really well and I've felt like the bowl has stayed cleaner than with the other kiss's. The globe handled some crumble that was sliding off the others a little. I haven't had to clean it yet though. I love that they come with the extra coil and new ones are only $7. I wouldn't be too sad if I couldn't iso clean the coil piece, but I would be sad.

Guess who just found a pair of AW's in their battery box.... SCORE.

So if the persei comes with lesser batteries and a charger, I'll have a persei, a set of AWs, the other IMRs. All thats left is a herc.

Does the persei come with the old style carts? Are they worth trying out in the meantime? I don't hear people talk about the old carts at all anymore.
