Yes we will have a short circuit protection that is user replaceable included in the kit. It wont be in the tops. So you can either run it with some sort of protection or pedal to the floor type.


We had to include this for legal reasons.

Do you have pictures comparing the brushed vs. polished 8 tops? I do not recall selecting an option when I pre-ordered the 8 top earlier this week. Either way, I am still excited. Does this mean you'll have two different versions of the battery tube as well?

EAch top will match with the battery tube. No pics of the brushed. Once our final production pieces are done ill post them up.

Its actually 7 parts inside, very easy to take apart and put it together, but if its not for you then its not for you. Similar to the Hercules in complexity.

The Okeanos is what your talking about. Kiss and triton capable.

Yes very exciting. Except the Pinocchio thing, does that mean rebuild kits aren't happening?

i can't wait to stop using this v2 top. Misfiring, blinking, not working...if I didn't have the iris I would have definitely thrown my Persei across the room by now

I get the occasional misfire and blinking as well with my V2 top. However t is not very often so I'm not quite ready to throw it yet...

Yeah mine happens quite frequently or maybe I just use it to much But the annoying thing is when i have my kiss cart and I go to hand it to a friend that's when it usually misfires. Sometimes have to press the button a few times before it'll actually light up...and also have the light dim or flicker while in use as well.

This really makes me want an 8 but I think I can hopefully hold out for the touch button

A more-adjustable than the Persei threaded tube so you could do a single 18490 or 18650 (plus double battery configs) would be really cool.

I'm stoked that other people are stoked on the brushed finish too! I'll be sooo happy to have a durable raw finish that's at home in my garage.
