KidneyPuncher.com is the way to go. Ceramic wicks like in the globe are called FC-2000 wicks. I use NiChrome 80 in 32awg for 7.4v KISS. Check my sig for link to rebuild instructions.anyone out here have any wire recommendation for KISS rebuild ? pleeeeez ? i guess I'm going to give up on locating titanium …. cannot find in usa ??

Yes, if you screw it on upside down it'll strip the threads. My original one had this problem and the mouthpiece would just spin endlessly as well as the whole tube pretty annoying. I ended up just buying another shieldHas anyone ever stripped the threads on the Black Hercules heat shield ? Yea the writting Hercules 74 still hasn't rubbed off my herc yet So iv never had a problem figuring out up and down I remember a few people saying the letters rubbed off after an ISO bath
Just got my herc + hammer top + core. I'm wondering about reloading, I see a lot of different advice about when and how to reload.
So I put in .3 and melt it in, then put in another .2 for vaporizing and go until there's no/weak vapor or I can taste coil. Then do I do the whole process over again? Melt in .3 and put in .2? Or do I just need to put in .2 more? Then clean it after 2 grams? I'm just not sure how priming/saturating the coil works with reloading, I need like a Herc life cycle diagram. Trying it for the first time this weekend after I put in the upgrade and 3.7 rod.
I am aware you need the high drain aw imr batteries to run the herc but can you use the stock batteries at all ? I ask because I have two brand new sets and I was just wondering if I can get some use out of them for any amount of time if so how long would they run for thanks
My original Persei tops are the same way. I actually hadn't tried it with my double tops since I'm worried about cooking another one, but I'd tried my "V1" Persei top out (the one that came in the kit w/double top & box advertised 6V) and it has no voltage dead zones that I recall seeing w/my CoreWell, on the bright side (of my Persei top dying) I am using my Herc with a Double Top that I bought from @Sleepininca. Using it with the Core, there is no low battery voltage dead zones. Means I can run it at 6v. Hits like a freight train and I can ride the button forever.
You should submit a ticket- I have the same problem as you, but it happens Only with the Hammer top and Only with the SS "18350 length" tube- and I submitted a ticket- they said I could send my stuff in, and I was going to figure out how to have the time during the day to get that done, when I happened to chat with Naomi on the phone and she suggested swapping tubes from an SS kit over with the Top already attached to the Tube, and I thought about what that would really change: the way the "cup" on the terminal of the Core tube sits against the post on the Top has to be throwing off the Hammer tops drop protection, and in my case since the SS tube has a little more spring pressure the std. tube that's why I have issues?? My Hammer top is 100% solid with its drop-protection never false activating with batteries and my fix now is to unplug the power plug from the Core bottom cap, and unthread it nearly all the way & screw it back in- it seems to work for quite a while without shutting off after that! Usually good until the next session the next day.im still trying to find out if my hammer top is mis-firing or if its my core
sometimes when I go to press the button I get nothing no power my core is on but my button wont glow
I have to unplug it some way either the bottom of the persei or unscrew the head and re screw it back on or unplug the power cords and plug them back in
it was doing this every 1/50 times now it seems like it does it 1/10 times this is really annoying to be showing someone my awesome vape pen "but wait sometimes it doesn't turn on you just have to unplug it really quick??" is anyone having this problem whats causing it
should I submit a ticket ... don't know if its the core or the insert or the head ?
I'm in the dark here, what do you mean by marketing ploy? There's some marketing ploys with the availability of that tube (and the shorty insert that current comes with the small SS kit tube minus bottom as well).
After the coil has it's buffer, all you have to do is throw in whatever amount you want for the session (.2 - .3 for me) & go at it. As far as cleaning goes, I've only cleaned mine 3 times in the 4 months that I've owned it. I'm a daily user & the only difference in performance as far as I can tell (other than taste) is the threads getting gunked up.
Edit: I go through almost 2gs a week.
Thanks, that helps. I have one more question if someone can answer, though it feels like a stupid one.
So I put in the buffer, then more to vape, then use until weak/no vapor, and put in more over the buffer. But when you do eventually clean it what happens to what you used for the buffer? Does that eventually get vaporized? Do you reclaim it? I have a feeling I won't totally get it until I use it for the first time this weekend and see what happens. Besides feeling amazing (hopefully). If all else fails it seems like the w9 guys bend over backwards to help people. Made me feel much better about buying the herc.
