Gotta be airflow if your oil is burning, if I know my coil is full and I get heat without HEAVY vapor in 3sec, I throttle down and redo my topcap fitting, this is usually the issue.

@Atomsk last time you had this same issue and you adjusted the bottom adapter if im not mistaken right?

Have you tried to adjust it again?

Also if your coil is cut to 30% how is oil getting into the mouth piece? are you using two coils?

G, if you overload the coil it's possible to suck liquefied concentrate into the MP. I've done it.

I understand its possible just making sure his coils are 30% so that we can rule out the coils being height being an issue.

I really do think its the bottom adapter. Somethings wrong with it as its making contact but not a strong contact to allow the larger current to get to the rod so it can heat up.

It just warms up with the current available.

I agree. I've had this issue on and off as well. Maybe a slight redesign of the adapter can solve this? Would running the Hercules without the bottom insulating adapter be okay to troubleshoot this?

Bottom adapter is getting a new redesign.

Yes you can run the herc without the ptfe pcs and just connect the mouth piece using the stainless cap. It will show you if the bottom adapter is the issue.

Yes It will it is not designed to be used without the adapter.

Also I might add that the persei has attachments for the herbs but it still does not function easily without a huge learning curve, I know vitolo has been successful but I and a few others have not gotten herb to work consistently in the persei.

The BENDER is the best tasting portable PERSEI attachment for FLOWERS (HERB as you call it).
When I have the time I prefer to vaporize with the BENDER set up.

Now remember the BENDER is for the CONNOISSEUR.

If you love cannabis more than the machine then try the BENDER PERSEI combination.
Just stir between rips and have you house slippers on.

Sorry I forgot to add I was talking about the sr-71, I know you are successful using pollen pellets.
The bender is great , I have to raise the bender off the top of the persei (approx 1/4 inch gap) head a bit to line up the holes to the hottest part of the ceramic rod, then and only then can I get it to function great with huge tasty hits.

What does it mean when your top flashes like a strobe light!!!! Then you unscrew put it back on and it's fine And every time I inhale the light flickers!!!

If it flashes 3 times then its the short circuit protection, it does this a a lot due to the battery rattling around & any slight movement or setting down will cause this. No need to be alarmed as its normal.
If your using the adjustable plate then you could slightly raise battery a bit to help this but do not raise it too much.
The SS kit You cant adjust and just eventually get used to it, sometimes it resets it self and I think I am getting power but then quickly realize I have to press button once again to activate.

@THC SCIENTIFIC yeah my herc is set up right it gets hot and Vapes just the battery's started to tweak and flashing no lie like a strob I had to unscrew top to stop it nothing else would make it stop , thought my battery's where frying but no harm thank god

Just read your above post, might be a short or bad top, maybe batteries not sure. Usually when light stays on like that it starts smoking and fry's out , but seems you got lucky on this one with the quick action.

Yes I had this happen with one top, it did not smoke but the light behaved oddly. Later the light seemed to work but the top was dead. If you click on the envelope icon on the w-9 website and tell them what happened they will get right back to you and get you squared away.

Definitely agree, the bottom insulator needs redesigning to make better contact, I carry Herc, Persei seperate in my pocket, assembly means sometimes disassembling the Herc... not convenient.

Black rods are .8 Ohms +/- .13

Yes it is! My go to flower vape until my HI arrives! I also have a Volcanoe and MFLB that don't get much action anymore. I agree with you on the best taste ever- you can also get huge clouds with good technique, even through water(I ran the bender on my mobius 60t recently, was quite surprised at the great performance! ) I also would like to thank you for the pollen pellet idea!

The POLLEN PELLETS I have a couple of formula adjustments.
I use a INDICA BASED WAX + SATIVA BASED KIEF.
0.3 + 0.7 = 1.0 gram
I use some TOP SHELF fine ground flower as a bulking agent. (enough so I can press it)
More like a dusting!
I used the original HERCULES during the last year while it was being improve a pond.
With POLLEN PELLETS!

Glycerine and foreign matter keep out of it!

I double purge the wax.

No headache with this method.
Better strains help as well!

the Efests are good i say almost dead heat with the AW IMR but the 900 and 800 are the same the efest being better at this point.
