Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

I can't seem to find a definitive answer - can full melt, shatter and goo be vaped in the Persei (perhaps only with the right voltage and cart)? Or do these concentrates only work with the Hercules SR-71? Thanks.

on vaporpedia it gives a rundown on the ideal substances for these carts. Just search the persei on vaporpedia and scan until they start talking about concentrates.

Sweet, Bob! Four questions for you if you don't mind.

1. How long of a heat up time does the new Herc require before it starts to produce serious vapor?

2. How is the taste in comparison to other carts (or the original Herc)?

3. Like yourself, I'm an extremely frequent and heavy hitter. How much have you been loading at a time and how approximately how long does a load last?

4. Have you tried any of the old tanks in the new Herc to compare the difference between the coil and the tanks?

Thanks brotha! Keep getting ripped for us in the name of science! :science:

1. it's fairly quick at good vapor after the first initial warm-up. but hold off and let her really get going and you get those huge rips. kinda tried to show that in the last video.

2. my "OG" herc carts fried quick and i never tried the intermediate so it's hard to make that comparison, but i can compate to the normal carts. it is lovely all-together. even though it takes more power and time to get to the same temp/density as the cera, it gets there smoother. i like using an "og" omi tip on the end to give a little more distance from the heat and a nibbler x on anything.

3. i loaded up at least a gram and add a quarter gram after that. probably have a half gram "in the prime" so to speak. length of load goes very fast, straight to the dome!

4. yes and they both still leak thru the bottom holes on this prototype. not sure about where they will be in final production, but either way i just heat up and tilt towards and take rips til that one "surprise" hit lets me know it's moved back, then let it remelt and cool into the coil by keeping angle w/out heat.
the tanks are more like the original herc in function, giving mostly strong omi cart like hits w/ out restriction, clog or flavor loss. the coil is twice as good easy at holding the oil in the right place and giving those herculean rips.

feels great knowing i helped make this real and know that i'm thinking of all you MFC'ers when i did/do.
shout out to "G" and company for keeping at it 'til they had this sucker right.

I can't wait to destroy my whole oil collection. News is too good. As someone who has burnt out & clogged many Omi carts hitting too hard/frequent this is wonderful news.

My only concern is I'm almost positive I'll put it together wrong the first time

I saw the photo assembly guide G posted but if someone doesn't mind writing out a "for dummies" list of how to put this together without fucking it up i'd appreciate it ;) (surely someone else will find it helpful too)

Guys to prevent leaking you need to constantly pull on it until it cools down.

When waiting more then 5 seconds when heating it up it will leak.

No worries, The Second Generation Hercules is in production we will only replace the 7.4v heaters and shells and 3.7v shells only.

As for the iris it still being worked on and will be done when we fix an issue we are having.

I will post here when to start sending in the hercules in a few once we confirm instructions packaging, and when it will be ready to be shipped out.

Hi G
Thanks for the info, will there be a new tank I saw it in BOBAAA's video or is that one of bob's creations?
On the Iris V1 are you repairing them if sent in or are we going to have to wait for V2?
Thanks
Kevin

The Oil Coil you saw in the video is our, that will not be included in the replacements as the original tanks work with the Sr -71.

The Iris will be replaced with the v2 as it can not be repaired.

Looking forward to new Iris really did enjoy it but it's cooking to many carts. Can the oil coils be ordered, and can we do it at the sametime as the SR71 upgrade to help w/shipping cost.
Thanks

Maybe i'm just seeing things but it looked like Bob put something together that looked like a Hammer. I was wondering if you can use that part of the SR 71 like a hammer with the Bender or if it's not even possible/not even the same thing.

And qusetion #2..... with the SR 71 do you have to melt crumble in? Or can you just like of, uh, crumble it in?

That's a bummer about the coil not being included with the replacements. It seems to be one of the major reasons the SR-71 is outperforming the old Hercs (Bob said he finds the coil to work twice as well as the tanks). I would have thought that it would be included in the replacements given the fact that it is an integral part of the new design.

Will the oil coils be available for purchase separately and at a reasonable price? Perhaps a new Hercules accessory pack with coils instead of tanks?

The bottom connectors will be replaced when we replace the delrin shields with teflon units.

The Oil Coils will be available a few weeks after the initial Hercules launch.

Boooooo....bad call....

Watching the "fix" for this evolve on this thread it was the move to the next tank element that was the start of the show...

...not happy on spending any additional $$ for the Hercules to work as advertised...

(Edit)

Hey Bob.....any field reports on the original tanks and the SR71?

I'm afraid I have to agree. We early Hercules adopters essentially paid to be beta testers (which I was fine with) but when the problems started pouring in, we were told that we were going to be upgraded to the newest/final version of the Hercules. Why should we have to pay more in order to harness the full capabilities of a cart that we already paid for? While many people jumped ship, demanded refunds, trashed the company, or went looking for solutions from other companies, some of us remained patient and loyal, confident in your ability to deliver the product that you promised (as you always have). Now think about how it looks to us when you essentially say that we have to wait a few weeks after launch AND pay extra for something that is now included as part of the new package. Meanwhile, people who are buying the new Herc for the first time are getting everything right from the get go. It just doesn't seem right is all.

Edit: I just want to stress that I truly appreciate everything that Delta9/THCSci has done in the industry and for their customers. G even went out of his way to give me a free Bender when Hurricane Sandy kicked my ass. Find me another company that has given away an all glass flower chamber. Anyway, I still think that Delta9 goes out of their way for the customer more than any other company but I figured I'd state my opinion on the matter at hand since this is in fact, a discussion forum. I definitely don't mean to sound ungrateful.

In the meantime I found a way to use the V1 until the SR-71 replaces it.
