Here is some information I wanted to share with FC forum...

I have been playing with the 1701 cartridge. most recent Version

01. This is my first time using it
02. It is WAY different than our traditional cartridges.
03. 1701 is wider and shorter than our regular carts.
04. ohms? i dont know, G wont tell me. I did however use a trustfire 18650 Li-Ion 2400 mAh battery.
05. You can not draw through the cartridge like you would on our reg Carts. Slow and steady wins the race with the 1701
06. Took about 4 seconds to see the 1st faint vapor.
07. used 1/2g of PG with this test.
08. filling requires NO TOOLS(PG) squeezed PG in the 1701
09. Taste?
10. Still no leaks. will update after I test with 1g fill.

To me It was great I could draw from it as if it was a cigarette. I personally have asked for 5-pack after 1st use, which he said NO to. I have also asked him to release the cartridge with this particular design, because I think the air-flow compliments the way the 1701 functions; Slow draws than inhale the vapor. this is from a 36 YO ex-smoker. The only issue G sees with this cartridge is the Air-flow.

what would you like to see? this design or a design with less air flow restrictions.

less airflow restrictions sounds cool, it they can make it happen why not? if its not happening then the heck with it bring em on out.

What would I like to see? A WHOLE LOT MORE TESTING before it's released!!!

I sincerely hope G doesn't take that advice at face value.....I'm sure he won't......at least I think I am.

i've had my persei for a little over a week now. only been using a single 2.4 ohm cart with it so far. i've run about 1.3 grams through the same cart so far. should i put anymore in the same cart or should i just ride it out with whats in it and then trash it?

It depends on the concentrate. I'd say on average I go about 3 grams before it fouls out enough to slow down to the point I trash it.

As long as it's producing well, I'd add another half and go again. No sense in buying a new cart and abandoning .2 grams of so of good concentrate for no need, right?

More testing has been done by G, I had to beg him to let me use the 1701 for the 1st time. I simply think that it draws like a cigarette, but he wants more airflow. If air flow is his only concern than I think that FC should be able to play with the 1701, but then again it is G's call.

I guess I misunderstood, I thought you said you'd just tried it for the first time, had used one type of concentrate for less than half a gram and wanted it released based on that experience?

You know, looking back, that's exactly what you did say, right?

My comment stands. I'd like to see some serious testing before we go through another lame release like we're dealing with with Hercules.

We've been waiting OVER A FRIGGIN' YEAR for 'leakproof carts', IMO a few more weeks (or even months) to get it right is better than another disappointing premature release.

I like the sound of a slower air-flow, the Hercules is available for those rip apart your lungs clouds.
Just the opinion of an older 40 year smoker/toker

2. release the button, but continue drawing the air through the cartridge.
3. Slower draws create larger vapors, and faster draws create smaller vapors.

This technique(which creates an air barrier) does not allow the oil to travel down the center tube, cools the oil and cartridge.

G has played with these carts for a while now, I on the other hand started playing with it today. We both agreed that the 1701 had restricted air flow . which In my opinion could be an issue for some but not for others. Sorry if i misinformed anyone on the thread. Besides the air flow, I personally do not see any other issues with the 1701, this is simply my opinion only

Does the 1701 have a different heating method? Mainly this question is asked for taste purposes. Unfortunately persei use has ceased for me due to the taste with carts and PG. Odd taste that makes me cough every time...

Taste has improved ten gold, I can taste the of all the way down to .1 left in it and when I refill it comes back. The .1 is the mark it stops producing vapor.

The silica wick is now gone.

maybe, im new to concentrates so i cant say im confident when it comes to pointing out quality. i picked up from Just Quality Care over in Anaheim. Got 1g of some gucci og wax and and 1g of some girl scout cookie wax and 3g for $60 special for pure gold honeycomb wax. I had the pure gold honeycomb in the 2.4ohm as well as another 2.4ohm cart with some girl scout cookie. I considered them both ineffective.
ill load a picture of this stuff so you can tell me what you think...

I use a drier and bit lighter wax than what you show.
The Wax I have in my 2.4 is a Very Dry Brittle and blonde.
I stay away from running or darker colored waxes.
Before dinner I had a few milky thick rips and if it hit any harder I wouldn't have made it back to the dinning table.

The GSC I get is drier and more blonde than what you have in the photo.
However for a nail it's all good.

i was just now kind of bummed that my 2 mini 3.7v batteries died, but then i remembered that you could screw the long tube from the persei ss kit to the regular persei and that i had two of the long 3.7v batteries charged and ready to go, so i have set up to where i have the two long 3.7v batteries to a 5.0ohm cartridge. I notice that it produces even more powerful hits. Can't do 5 seconds anymore without coughing, gottta stick to the 3 second rule!

BE warm using stacks of IMR batteries can be very dangerous! YOu must make sure your set of battery his the same full charge volt which should be 4.2v. Using single battery that have been in use for single battery mods then stack them with other is a bad idea. You must full charge both and then use a multimeter to test the volt on it. If they don't match discharge both alittle to get them below 4.1 and charge both. Never us stacks batteries with 2 differnt volts on it. Once they match you should label them to know they are a pair now. And then keep them in pairs. If not they can be hazardous to your mod/battery/carts/ and your life maybe!

Other plastics or rubbers/silicone removed as well? Thats the kind of taste i had been getting, was like burnt silicone or something like that.

Thats great news however. Im sure the entire lot of us are stoked for the re-evolution of the cart.

This stuff is so smooth. I have a standard tube with a single head and a 2.4 cart x 18650 3.7V battery. The vapor clouds were thick and I'm not a cloud chaser.
