AustinB509..if you purchased through Planet Vape they will send you free replacement cartridges. D9 will replace your bad carts but you have to pay to ship them out to them. I initaly felt ripped off because of bad smelling and tasting vapor from dirty carts and defective batteries. Stay away from waxes for now and go with oils until you master your technique. This was the hardest vaporizer for me to learn but once I did, WOW. Im loving it. I'm glad I didn't send it back and all my other vapors are collecting dust .

The Ss Is the mini tube for the Persei, and also a shorter tube for 18650, these tubes do not have the adjustable plate in them. Allows you to have two Persei's running at the same time since you have two heads.
alright, so update on the Hercules, after 5 grams of oil, and 1 gram of water extract we went ahead and washed it out, and now its back working like new. This thing rips as hard as a ti nail.

Had the persei and omni in 7.4 mode and5.0 I am getting nice clouds and effect with both. I can see the voltage does make a difference with cloud and density.
I just have to get the cart fillin part down. What is folks opinion once a cart gives a burnt taste dont reefill>?

I guess there's all levels of burnt. When I've tasted oil getting burnt I've backed off rather than pressed on. It usually clears back up, supporting my current theory that the burning happens at the preheat stage, not the vaporizing one? Once the cooked oil is flushed through (hopefully without further roasting) fresh oil follows it IME. I see it as like when you change concentrate types, from burnt to fresh?
The outside of the carts low down gets much hotter when this happens seems to me. No way around the idea that the oil inside, near that first heater, is hotter still. But like I said, I'm sure guys can get in deeper than I do, could well be different for them.
I'm not sure the power balance between the heaters scales all that well.
Consider a swing or nail, all the oil that gets to it vaporizes just fine, I think the same happens at the main vaporizer in the cart. Oil that makes it up the wick finds more degrees than 390 and it 'flashes to steam' (vapor in this case) on the spot. I also think small local pressures from that boil off control feed rates and also 'pumps' the sludge to the surface, making the 'scab' grow on the outside, not from the inside out. No burn. The burnt part comes from cooking the oil before that?

And what's the chance of buying a second base for the SS tube, then we could have two Persei's and a Hammer!
side note Aerosmith rocked Oakland Saturday night and my new Persei SS Vaped are suite, should see some new orders, they loved it!

Ss chrome kits have issues so we are redoing them, and to answer the second question on this page you don't need the hammer to oporate the Hercules.

Start a ticket w D9. My single tops have had this issue(resolved quickly by replacement!)
The good thing is you can still use 1 cart on the dual top!

I feel your pain man! Both of my tops have quit working within the past week!
They are under warranty but living in Canada means I'll probably be without a persei for a month. I really don't know what to do. I can't go a month without my persei but I really don't want to dish out $210 for a spare persei....
