Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

I have had the Herc for a few days now and I think I am getting the hang of it (but I have thought that a number of times!). I am preheating for at least 10 seconds and then drawing long and slow. Most of the time if I do enough cool down nothing leaks through but sometimes......

Now I really want to know exactly how it works. I am sure the information is buried somewhere is the 1000 plus pages of information but I am going to take the risk of asking.

What I have understood:
- The ceramic rod is the heating element.
- The Ti doughnut surrounds the element.
- I "fill" the doughnut with +/- .3g concentrate
- I add another +/- .2g which is what actually gets vaped?

So what is actually vaping? I can only assume it is the material very close to the heater which translates to the material in the centre of the doughnut.

So we keep the doughnut full so that the oil pooling right around the heater gets vaped?

The doughnut also nearly always manages to allow air to pass through. I would expect that when the oil returns to a more solid form it would become impossible to draw air.

Any insights?

Cheers

It does by providing better options and new industry standards.

I certainly have not seen anyone else offering a cart than can run 3.4v and 7.4v on the same coil. If you like the 7.4v standard Kiss cart then despite its other shortcomings I think the Kiss AC will be a real winner for you. I personally have never liked the taste of the Kiss at 7.4v so this particular feature doesn't interest me very much.

I'd be interested to hear from others what features unique to the Kiss AC they are really enjoying.

Also if anyone has gotten the dual coil to fire reliably on a AW IMR 18350 800 mAh or v3 Persei top I'd love to hear about it.

Basically as its heated the wax closest to the ceramic vapes that's is correct the buffer is basically slowly being refreshed wit each hit some of it is gone and new wax takes its place so you nailed it pretty much

As for the airflow if your wax is stable at room temp and you do enough cool down hits it will form air holes as your cooling it down so you should. Be able to inhale if you don't cool it enough it will pool at the bottom and block airflow and thats when id end up with leaks

I'm looking for a globe type mouthpiece to fit over the herc (running with no heat shield). Currently, the w9 globe fits over the herc, but with some play.

Might anyone know whether the AC globe is wider than the standard KISS globe to where it might fit over the herc along with using of those hitemp o-rings? Probably not because I would think the AC skillets are the same diameter as the standard KISS, but thought I would ask. I'm currently using some hitemp tubing to mate my kiss globe with the herc, and I really like the setup. I dont think the nibbler will work for me given how I use and store the herc.

It's a little pricey but the nibbler XL is my number 1 favorite accessory I've bought

Has any one attached a bubbler to AC cart? I really can't wait much longer!!!

Search back some pages. The Nibbler X was rigged up with an extra o-ring and someone got it working perfect! I tried with the Nibbler XL and some rubber bands but couldn't quit get it sealed. @THC SCIENTIFIC promises all us hungry hippos a new Nibbler special made for the AC soon!

I'm pretty stoked on the AC double coil in my Okeanos. Works well with the single too; I prefer hitting my 1701 in Centauri mode with no water filtration to maximize flavor. (3.7V)

Hey dude could you make a video of the 1701 at 3.7v? I'm curious what sort of vapor production you are getting. What top and battery are you using? Thanks!

Wish I had a single and double coil that works.

I'll try to take a video on Monday for you. I use my Alpha Centauri on my 8; it also works well on my V2 and V4 Persei. I tested only 3.7V mode on my V2 shorty and it works great with a single AW IMR18350 on the single coil. Ive tried both 3.7 and 7.4V on my V4 Persei and 8 using AW batteries. The 1701 works best on a 18650 or a Core power supply :)

Wish I had a single and double coil that works.
Me too! How can I help?

Just got my kiss ac 510. Disassembled and soaked it in hot water for a min or two. Letting it dry now. Anyone have any suggestions before I use it?

Also how do you guys load the single coil. on my current atomizer I just scrap it on the side of the cup. But on the ac single coil it looks like a lot of room between the side and the coIL.

Just reporting back loading was not an issue can just scrap on the side the push it down if needed. I used the single coil with 18350 battery in a mech mod and it worked great. Not much vapor as the coils don't get red hot but taste was great material was vaporized an I was medicated. A+

One thing I noted is that the glass tank is very difficult to get on and off. The orings even get flattened. I thing the glass is a tad to small. Anyone else experience this? I feel like the glass may shatter in my hand as it takes a lot of effort to pI'll off or put on.

I hope to try the other coils today.

Is the donut in the 1701 supposed to be a little loose? Mine is able to fall out if I shake it, although it has not been used yet.

edit: to prevent the o-rings flattening/overlapping I rotate the globe slowly as I put it on.

The piece that the globe is attached to should screw on and off so that you don't need to slide the glass off.

The black ceramic needs to be loose yes that's correct. That's the wick that needs to come out so it can be cleaned.

So ... the kiss ac kicks ass! I am absolutely loving this thing. The machining on mine looks great and while the air flow control does move pretty easily I think the o-ring inside the plastic ring is enough to keep it in place well enough. Before I had the unit in my hands I thought the air flow ring was going to be flopping around and move on it's own but that's not the case.

I bought the ac for use of the dual coil on top of my Kangxin VF Mini with temperature control and wasn't sure if the ti wire was going to fire in tc mode as it seems some tc mods will and others wont. The VF Mini does! Right now I've got the unit at 10 watts with the temp set at 420 F (although ti wire is supposed to fire hotter than what these units are calibrated for) and I take a long slow draw holding the button down until the 10 second shut off turns the unit off. I'm getting nice clouds and the flavor is unmatched by any dab rig I've ever tried. This cart is exactly what I've been looking for ... thank you @THC SCIENTIFIC for making this available in 510 and great job with the design!

A couple of quick questions ... sorry if they've already been asked. Are the o-rings silicone? And are the black plastic pieces teflon like the herc?

If anyone wants to trade their dead dual coil for a brand new, never used single coil shoot me a pm.

Edit: I see that the plastic skirts are in fact teflon but I'd still like to know about the o-rings.

Try using a pulsation technique where you hold the button for 3-5 seconds for the initial heat up and draw, and then use 2-3 second pulses after that. If this doesn't generate vapor, use lighter draws and/or more power. This technique works great with a single AW 18650 on my Persei an 8. Pulsing has several benefits; it maintains a more even temperature as well as avoids any time out issues. The main benefit is letting off the power momentarily allows the oil suspended in the porous ceramic wick to weep back towards the wire for the next round of button pressing.

Overall I find that I get both better vapor production AND better flavor with button modulation as opposed to long presses. Just my :2c:
